ABSTRAK The role of technology, especially information technology in Indonesia in building society XXI century. Indonesia has begun to enter the stage of the telematics community will certainly have a major impact on all levels of life of the Indonesian nation, especially in children. The emergence of a great revolution to the world of children's playground, internet presence replaces the open airy space for children's play, besides presenting impressions internet pornography and violence can harm the development of children's personality. sexual deviance behavior at the level of schooling is quite surprising, of course, this is a challenge for education and should be used as a rationale for the need for innovation in learning. Things into consideration is for this, sex education for early childhood is considered taboo in society. Guru is one of the determining factors of high and low quality of education has a strategic position in transforming sex education to learners therefore this study tries to analyze how perceptions of teachers on sex education at primary school level, the research method used is descriptive method. Indonesia sudah mulai masuk pada tahapan masyarakat telematika tentunya akan berdampak besar pada seluruh aras kehidupan bangsa Indonesia terutama pada anak-anak. Munculnya revolusi besar terhadap dunia bermain anak, kehadiran internet menggantikan ruang lapang terbuka untuk bermain anak, selain itu internet menghadirkan tayangan yang berbau pornografi serta kekerasan yang bisa merugikan perkembangan kepribadian anak-anak, yang mengarahkan perilaku seksual anak. Prilaku penyimpangan seksual di tingkat persekolahan cukup mengejutkan, tentunya ini merupakan tantangan bagi dunia pendidikan dan perlu dijadikan dasar pemikiran bagi perlunya pembaharuan dalam pembelajaran. Hal yang menjadi bahan pertimbangan adalah selama ini, pendidikan seks untuk anak usia dini dianggap tabu di kalangan masyarakat. Guru merupakan salah satu faktor penentu tinggi rendahnya mutu hasil pendidikan mempunyai posisi strategis dalam mentransformasikan sex education pada peserta didik oleh karena itu penelitian ini mencoba untuk menganalisis bagaimana persepsi guru terhadap sex education di tingkat sekolah dasar, metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif.
This study aims to describe the implementation of the ADI learning model on physics learning of Newton’s laws, the skills of scientific argumentation of students after learning, and the patterns of scientific argumentation students. This research method used explanatory sequential mixed method design. Data collection methods used in this study were tests, documentation and observation. This research was conducted in Surabaya, East Java, Indonesia. Eighty-five of ten grade students on three classes and one teacher participated in this study. This study applied a scientific argumentation level framework developed by Erduran to determine the level of scientific argumentation skills that can be achieved by students. The results showed that ADI learning model was carried out very well for 3 classes with an average percentage of feasibility for Science Classes 1, 2, and 3 as a whole involving 86.67%, 87.08%, and 88.75%. Scientific arguments of students show a significant increase, with a significance of n-gain values obtained in the medium category. The pattern of changes in the skills of scientific argumentation of students from levels 1 and 2 in the pre-test increased to levels 3 and 4 in the post-test. The reason for the skills of scientific argumentation of students is in accordance with the scientific argumentation skills verbally. Based on these results it can be concluded that the application of the ADI learning model improve scientific argumentation skills of students.
Kompleknya permasalahan kehidupan di sekitar anak, termasuk di dalamnya perkembangan IPTEK yang banyak memberikan tekanan dan mempengaruhi perkembangan emosi maupun sosial anak berdampak pada perubahan perilaku ke arah perilaku yang individualistis, tidak peduli, sulit berinteraksi secara sosial (social insulation) sehingga melemahkan rasa sosial dan empatinya. Banyak penelitian memperlihatkan pentingnya keterampilan sosial emosional siswa, bahwa individu yang memiliki keterampilan sosial dan emosional yang bagus siap dalam mengatasi stress dan menyesuaikan diri dengan perubahan kehidupan sosial budaya yang serba cepat, dan berani mengambil keputusan. Permasalahannya adalah pembelajaran di sekolah mengarah pada suatu kecenderungan ketercapaian target materi, kurang mendorong siswa untuk peduli, mau bekerjasama sehingga mengeliminir kompetensi lain yang seharusnya juga dikembangkan, karenanya perlu iklim pembelajaran yang berupaya untuk menyeimbangkan semua pengembangan kompetensi peserta didik yang berdampak pada penguatan sosial dan emosional siswa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu metode deskriptif, yang akan menggambarkan bagaimana penguatan keterampilan sosial dan emosional siswa di SD melalu metode speaker’s staff. Hasil penelitian memperlihatkan metode speaker’s staff memberikan pengaruh positif terhadap keterampilann sosial dan emosianal siswa.
This research examined preservice teacher’s experiences of technology integration in social studies as a subjects in curriculum. We recognize school-based technology integration and implementation processes are influenced by a complex ecology of people. There are abundant ways social studies students can make social studies enjoyable and meaningful to students. As an interdisciplinary subject, social studies draws upon multiple curricular contents related to the social sciences. With increased innovation and technological developments, access becomes a concern. Campuses expecting technological fluency and seamless integration into the classroom must also admit that there are students with limited skills and exposure. This study will explore which students as preservice teachers are using technology and how technology is shaping their college experiences, also able to use technology creatively to facilitate their work, expand their instructional strategies, and improve social studies teaching. This study suggests that technology indeed offered social studies student a unique opportunity to enhance social studies instruction. Further, they can have incorporated technology into the social studies curricula in many and varied ways. Use of technology made it possible for them to conduct learning activities that both increased students’ interest in social studies and improved their problem solving ability and higher order thinking skills.
Education today is focused on the goal to establish intelligence, knowledge, personality and intelligence of children in an atmosphere of globalization, on that matter learning activities should directly engage learners with real life by then they will not be isolated and prepared for rapid changes in society. The importance of values' education to be something that cannot be avoided. Values' educations are long-term standards that help a person determine how they should approach a situation or person, which makes it an important component of determining how the future culture interacts and acts. Providing an education on values at a young age can ensure that they are guided by these principles throughout life challenges of education in Indonesia is the impact of globalization, including the heterogeneity of society, the degradation of moral values, and reduced mutual respect. Therefore, we need a new paradigm of education that is ready to face the conditions of social and cultural diversity of Indonesia. Paradigm is meant integrating local wisdom in multicultural education. Local wisdom is needed because Indonesia is a country full of diversity, which is the capital of culture born from the wealth of local knowledge (local wisdom). Through multicultural education based on local wisdom children's awareness to the importance of respecting other people, and different cultures will be nurtured. This article outlines how the development of multicultural education based on local wisdom in learning activities in early-childhood education.
This research is motivated by the importance of uncovering questions “is online application-based transportation a means of supporting education?” because of the development of public transportation in Indonesia is not just ordinary transportation but now has developed online application-based transportation. This online application-based transportation is widely used by the public for various purposes, including education. The research method used was a survey with questionnaire instruments to 477 respondents in several cities in West Java, Indonesia consisting of the high school students, the college students and the parents. Data processing was carried out in a qualitative descriptive. The results showed that most parents and almost half of the high school students and the college students stated that the online application-based transportation is a means of supporting education. This research aims at measuring the improvement of the students’ CPS ability through the SBL model implementation through thematic learning. This research employed a quasi-experimental design with non-equivalent control group design involving all fourth grade students in public primary schools in Sumedang Regency. Meanwhile, the sample used in the research was one of public primary schools in North of Sumedang Regency by determining that 30 students of class IV-A included in the experimental class, and 32 students of class IV-B included in the control class. Based on the test instrument of CPS ability, the research results revealed that the SBL model implementation was able to improve significantly the CPS ability in thematic learning in the experimental class.
