Ilmu Sains dan karakter dalam pendidikan menjadi fokus penting dalam efektivitas dan keberhasilan pembelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat sikap siswa terhadap sains dan melihat disiplin siswa terhadap sains, kemudian menganalisis korelasi antara dua variabel (sikap dan disiplin) tentang sains. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian survei. Instrumen Penelitian: sikap siswa dan disiplin siswa terhadap sains, yang terdiri dari 25 pernyataan untuk setiap variabel. Penlitian ini dilaksanakan kepada 864 siswa/i SMP di Provinsi Jambi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) indikator sikap siswa terhadap sains menunjukkan sikap positif (kategori baik), (2) indikator disiplin siswa terhadap sains menunjukkan hasil positif, (3) statistik korelasi antara sikap siswa dan disiplin menunjukkan korelasi positif, dengan perincian; Kelas 7 memiliki korelasi yang sangat kuat (0,696), kelas 8 memiliki korelasi yang sangat kuat (0,828), dan kelas 9 memiliki korelasi yang kuat (0,696). Kesimpulannya: variabel sikap siswa dan disiplin siswa menunjukkan hasil positif dan setiap kelas memiliki korelasi positif dan mayoritas tingkat kelas memiliki kategori korelasi yang sangat kuat. Artinya penguatan karakter sikap dalam sains akan diikuti dengan penguatan karakter disiplin dalam sains.
Purpose: This study aims to determine whether there is a relationship between motivation and attitudes of students towards physics subjects in high school. Method: The type of research used is quantitative descriptive with correlational design. The data used by researchers were in the form of questionnaires/motivational questionnaires and attitudes with a total of 54 statements for attitude questionnaires and 23 statements for motivational questionnaires using liker scale 5. Data Analysis: using descriptive and inferential statistics. Findings: the results of this study researchers get good results and enough attitudes towards physics investigation, adoption of scientific attitudes pleasure in learning physics, interested in participating in physics learning activities, believe that he has the ability of physics, and enjoy working on physics tasks good enough, this is in accordance with the analysis of the relationship that has been done, that there is a relationship between motivation and student attitudes toward physics subjects, with details, at level 1 the correlation coefficient is 0.318, then at level 2 is 0.862 and at level 3 is -0.56, at level 1 has a low positive relationship, level 2 has a strong positive relationship, while at level 3 has a moderate negative relationship.
Based on observations in atomic physics and nuclear learning, there are some problems see during two semester of the course such as less using of instructional materials and instructional media in the process of learning. In addition, content of book used are books published in the 1990s years and never have been updated. The quantity of books of atomic physics and nuclear in the library is still very little. Therefore developed electronic modul (E-modul). This research used descriptif research. E-module is made using 3D software pageflip professional. E-Module has been validated by experts for media and content of e-module. The result was perception of students on average 83.5% on core structure module and 89 % on radioactivity module with very good category.
Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menghasilkan dan mengetahui persepsi siswa terhadap pengembangan media e-learning berbasis edmodo dengan pendekatan saintifik pada materi gelombang bunyi SMA kelas XII. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian dan pengembangan (research and development) dengan model 4D. Penelitian ini melalui tahap pendefenisian, perancangan, pengembangan, dan penyebaran, namun peneliti membatasi penelitian ini hanya sampai pada tahap pengembangan. Adapun yang menjadi subjek penelitian dalam pengembangan media ini yaitu siswa-siswi kelas XII MIA SMAN 2 Kota Jambi. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah angket validasi media dan materi serta angket persepsi siswa. Teknik analisis data yang berupa saran dari validator dilakukan secara deskriptif kualitatif. Sedangkan skor angket persepsi siswa dilakukan secara statistik deskriptif. Media e-learning berbasis edmodo telah selesai dikembangkan berupa media elektronik. Skor hasil persepsi siswa terhadap media e-learning berbasis edmodo yaitu 45,48 untuk aspek media termasuk kategori amat baik dan 20,02 untuk aspek materi dan termasuk kategori amat baik.Kata kunci: e-learning, gelombang bunyi The purpose of this research was producing and knowing the students perception toward the development of e-learning media based edmodo with scientific approach on sound wave. This research was research and development with 4D model. This research use the stage with definition, design, development, and dissemination, but the researcher limit this research only up to development stage. Subject this research were XII IPA SMAN 2 Kota Jambi. An instrument used were survey validations media, survey matter and survey students perceptions. Analysis technique of this research were deskriptive qualitative. While survey of the students perception conducted was deskriptive statistics. E-learning media based edmodo with scientific approach has been completed as the electronic media. This research is motivated by the low understanding of student concepts that affect student learning outcomes. The purpose of this study is to find out whether after applying the learning model of Discovery Based Learning with the help of digital LKS can improve students' concept understanding on dynamic fluid material. This type of research is a classroom action research consisting of three cycles consisting of four stages: planning, action implementation, observation/evaluation, and reflection. The results showed that there is an increase in students' concept understanding which is characterized by increasing student activity and student learning outcomes in each cycle. In the first cycle, the average percentage of student activity was 34.65% and the average score of learning outcomes was 39.56 with the number of successful students 9 students (23.68%). In the second cycle the average percentage of student activity increased to 62.94% and the average value of learning outcomes 60.12 with the number of successful students 15 students (39.47%). In the third cycle, the average percentage of student activity increased to 76.97% and the average score of learning outcomes was 80.79 with the number of successful students of 28 students (73.68%).
ABSTRAKDalam proses pembelajaran, guru dituntut dalam memilih metode yang tepat. Apabila metode pembelajaran yang digunakan bersifat konvensional maka dapat menurunkan semangat dan minat belajar siswa di sekolah. Permasalahan dalam pembelajaran di sekolah sering ditemui khususnya ketika siswa mengalami kesulitan dalam belajar. Solusi dari permasalahan tersebut adalah dengan melaksanakan pembelajaran yang lebih menarik menggunakan media e-learning berbasis edmodo.Tujuan utama dari media ini adalah untuk meningkatkan aktivitas dalam pembelajaran karena edmodo hampir sama dengan facebook sehingga diharapkan dengan penggunaan edmodo siswa akan lebih merasa senang dalam pembelajaran fisika dan materi akan lebih mudah untuk dipahami. Tahap persiapan dimulai dari observasi di beberapa sekolah di Kecamatan Jambi Luar Kota untuk mengetahui sejauh mana penggunaan media pembelajaran oleh guru IPA serta koordinasi dengan MGMP IPA Rayon Jaluko Kab. Muaro Jambi, Provinsi Jambi. Tahap pelaksanaan yaitu pelatihan pengembangan content e-learning untuk pembelajaran IPA menggunakan edmoda. Hasil pengabdian memperlihatkan guru antusias dalam mengikuti pelatihan pengembangan content e-learning. Beberapa pertanyaan diajukan guru terkait bagimana cara penggunaan edmoda. Secara keseluruhan dapat dikatakan tujuan pengabdian tercapai yaitu dengan ditandai dengan antusias guru, berbagai masalah pengembangan content e-learning dapat diselesaiakan dan guru dapat menggunakan edmoda dengan baik dan benar. If the learning method used is conventioanl, it can reduce student’s enthusiasm and interest in learning at school. Problem in learning at school are often encountered especially when students experience learning difficulties. The solution to these problem is to carry out more interesting learning using edmodo based e-learning media. The main pupose of this media is to increase learning activities because edmodo is almost the same as facebook so hopefully with use of edmodo students will be more happy in physics learning and material will be easier to understand. The preparation phase start from obeservation in several school in the district of Jambi Luar Kota to find out the extent of the use of learning media by science teachers as well as coordination with the MGMP IPA Rayon Jaluko Districts Muaro Jambi, Jambi Province. The implementation phase is training in developing e-learning content for science learning using edmodo. The result of community service show that the teacher is enthusiastic in participating in training in developing e-learning content. Some questions were raised by teacher regarding how to use edmodo. As a whole, it can be said that purpose of community service is achieved, which is marked by the enthusiasm of the teacher, various problem in developing e-learning content can be completed and the the teacher can be use edmodo properly and correcly. 21st century education marked with advances in information and communication technology increasing rapidly. Integrated learning in science, technology, engineering and mathematical (STEM) was one of the 21st century learning trends. A non-test instrument has been developed that used to measure lecturers' perceptions in the STEM approach. Based on the results of the analysis and data processing, the non-test instruments were reliable and valid. The test results obtained cronbach's alpha were 0.750 for the material, 0.896 for the construct and 0.778 for the language. This Cronbach Alpha number included in the high reliability category with a cronbach alpha number > 0.05. Meanwhile, the average validity value of the expert approval level for the instrument increased from 81.5% in the good category to 93% with the very good category. While the coefficients cohen's kappa value were 0.038; 0.033; and -0.019. It means that there were low agreement between each of the experts being compared. The results of the lecturers' perceptions about the STEM approach in learning were mostly very good. However, the willingness of the lecturers greatly influences the implementation of STEM in their learning.
