4.0 industrial revolution gives opportunity for education through learning technology. Mobile learning is the use of technology in the learning process using tablets, PCs or smartphones. Technological development in education is the use of Android which is a medium for mobile learning that is more flexible. Online based mobile learning provides opportunities for students to study anytime and anywhere. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the use of electronic guide books and electronic-based assessment in a basic physics practicum with reflectance material on a flat mirror. The study involved 65 physics education students with 35 students in the experimental class and 30 students in the control class. This research is true experimental research with the post-test end-experimental control group design. Based on the evaluation, in very good category at the communication’s indicator and classification’s indicator for experimental class, and in very good category at the compiles the data table’s indicator, for control class.
Scientific literacy is the ability which must be owned by the students to analyze and apply the concept of science in solving daily life problem. This research aims to know the correlation between scientific literacy and science learning achievement at State Junior High Schools. This research used a quantitative approach with correlational type. The population of this research were 428 grade IX students at State Junior High Schools within the District of Jaluko Muaro Jambi. The samples was 138 students. The technique of selecting samples was random sampling. The instruments used were the test of science literacy and the test of science learning achievement. Hypothesis test was conducted by using rank spearman correlation test with the assistance of SPSS 21. The results show the average score of scientific literacy is 33.7 (medium category) and the average score of science learning achievement is 21.5 (very low category). The result of the correlation test obtains Sig value 0.00 then Ho is rejected. It can be concluded that there is a significant correlation between scientific literacy and science learning achievement at State Junior High School within Muaro Jambi District. Science learning is expected to develop students’ science literacy so that it can improve science learning achievement.
<span>Attitude is one aspect that needs to be considered both for learning activities or learning objects. This study aims to determine the attitudes and motivations of students in mathematics physics subjects. The sample used was 100 students who had studied the Mathematics Physics course. This study employed quantitative research methods with correlational research design. Respondent was gathered by purposive sampling method. The research instruments used were attitude questionnaires in mathematical physics and motivational questionnaires. The study found that there is a significant relationship between attitudes and motivation of students in mathematics physics learning.</span>
This study aims to determine the views of students majoring in mathematics education and natural science faculty of teacher training and education science at Universitas Jambi to use electronic's module in physics practicum which is based on science process skills. The study involved 117 students majoring in mathematics education and science which consists of 59 students of physical education and 58 students of mathematics education. This research is descriptive quantitative research in order to obtain information mean (M), median (Me), mode (Mo), percentage, the range of the maximum value and the minimum value. Data was collected by using questionnaires and interviews. Based on the research results from students' perceptions of physical education in good category at 64.4% while the student's perception of mathematics education in good category amounting to 55.2%.
<span>Purpose: This study aims to determine the differences in science process skills in each class in the Physics Education Study Program. Methodology: This research is a quantitative study with a comparison design. The research sample used amounted to 108 students with details of 54 control class students who used conventional guidebooks, while the control class totaling 54 students used a science process skill guide. The research data was obtained from observation activities using observation sheets of science process skills which were analyzed using descriptive statistics and inferential statistics. Finding: The results showed that there were significant differences in the mastery of science process skills of students seen from the value of the average mastery of science process skills of students using guidebooks based on science process skills. The experimental class has an average science process skill that is better than the control class.</span>
This study aims to determine the attitudes of students in physics learning at the State High School in Batanghari Regency. The type of research used is quantitative which uses a research design survey that is strengthened by the results of interviews to support the results of quantitative data. This study involved 926 students of the Batanghari State High School. The data used by researchers in the form of a questionnaire/questionnaire consisting of 54 item statements using a Likert scale 5. Quantitative data analysis using descriptive statistics. The results of this study the researchers get the results of Good and Good Enough with the following details: The Social Implications of Physics have a Good result, amounting to 51.3%. Attitudes in Physics Investigation have a sufficient result of 44.3%, Enjoyment Learning Physics has Enough results of 55.5%, Career Interest in Physics has Enough result of 45%. This is due to the attitude that is sufficient on the indicator. The adequate attitude of students is a balanced attitude in learning Physics Subjects because subjects are difficult to understand.
The purpose of this study was to determine the description of students' attitudes towards physics in Senior High School 8 Jambi City of Indonesia. This research is quantitative-qualitative research with survey research procedures. The subjects of this study were 170 students. The instruments used were questionnaires and interview sheets. Quantitative data analysis using descriptive statistics while qualitative data analysis using data analysis techniques model Miles and Huberman. The results of the 3 aspects of attitude indicators discussed in this study are on the indicator of normality of scientists as much as 60% are categorized quite good. While the attitude towards investigation in physics is 51% in the good category. Then in the indicator of interest in a career in the field of physics as much as 58% of students are categorized well.
