Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji peranan pengetahuan awal, self esteem matematis dan kemampuan berpikir logis. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian korelasional dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Populasi sekaligus sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh mahasiswa Jurusan Pendidikan IPA FKIP Universitas Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa tahun pertama berjumlah 34 mahasiswa yang diambil dengan teknik simple random. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan tes pengetahuan awal dan kemampuan berpikir logis serta skala self esteem matematis. Analisis data dalam penelitian ini adalah dengan analisis statistic deskriptif untuk mengetahui gambaran ketiga variabel tersebut dan analisis regresi ganda serta anova satu jalur untuk melihat pengaruh variable pengetahuan awal dan self esteem matematis terhadap kemampuan berpikir logis serta analisis anova satu jalur untuk melihat perbedaan kemampuan berpikir logis ditinjau dari pengetahuan awal dan self esteem matematis. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data deskriptif didapatkan gambaran bahwa (1) pengetahuan awal mahasiswa 35% termasuk kategori tinggi, 41% kategori sedang dan 24% kategori rendah; (2) self esteem matematis 29% kategori tinggi dan rendah serta 41% kategori sedang; (3) kemampuan berpikir logis 24% kategori tinggi, 65% kategori sedang dan 12% kategori rendah. Sedangkan berdasarkan analisis regresi dan anova satu jalur menunjukkan bahwa (1) terhadap hubungan yang signifikan antara pengetahuan awal dan self esteem matematis terhadap kemampuan berpikir logis; (2) terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan kemampuan berpikir logis mahasiswa ditinjau dari pengetahuan awal dan self esteem matematis.
The purpose of this research is to know the profile or description about the quantitative literacy ability of the students of mathematics prpspective teacher at Universitas Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa semester V of academic year 2017/2018. Quantitative literature closely related with everyday life so that this ability is very important to be owned by students and the next generation of the nation. Prospective math teachers should be able to evaluate themselves about the ability of quantitative literacy so that when a teacher can transfer these abilities to his students. This research uses descriptive research. Quantitative literacy indicators used include interpretation, representation, calculation (counting), assumptions, application / analysis and communication. Furthermore, the category of quantitative literacy ability of candidates for mathematics students is categorized as being with a value of 68.82.
This research is motivated by rapid technological developments. More and more effort needs to be done in the utilization of technology results in learning. Teachers are expected to be able to use the tools provided from the school and not be covered by tools that are compatible with the development and turn of the times. Besides being able to use the tools available, teachers can also be used to create media that will be used as an available medium. One of the media used is interactive, in addition to junior high school students using tutorials to make it easier to use. The purpose of this research is to develop interactive learning in junior high school mathematics. The research was conducted in accordance with the research and development procedures consisting of: 1) preliminary study, 2) research planning, 3) development design, 4) preliminary field testing, 5) initial reference trial. In the preliminary stage of the field test, interactive teaching materials was validated by mathematicians, educational experts and multimedia specialists to assess the validity level of the product, which states that it is highly valid. In addition, limited tests were conducted on nine students to see the feasibility response that the results declared feasible, meaning interactive teaching materials learning math tutorial interesting to learn or use.
This research is motivated by the searching of banten cultural information which is viewed from mathematics aspect is still unfocus, whereas the culture contains the elements of mathematics, mathematics is the construction of the culture. The search for mathematical regularity in Banten culture can be a study that can be integrated in mathematics learning on transformation material. The research use descriptive qualitative research. Based on the results of research, on the object of Banten gate, Banten Great Mosque, Banten Tower, Banten traditional roof contains elements of reflection, dilatation, translation, symmetry, rotation. In Banten gate appears regularity of reflection, dilation, translation. At the grand mosque of Banten it appears the regularity of rotation, reflection, dilation. In the tower of Banten there is regularity of rotation, dilation, reflection. On the roof of the house Banten has the regularity of reflection, dilation, rotation. With the study of banten culture in terms of the concept of transformation, it can be used by teachers in learning mathematics on the transformation materials in schools, so that students are expected not only to achieve the knowledge competence related to transformation material, but also as a form of strengthening character education at nationalist value by having attitude competence love of its own culture can grow and be owned by students as national identity
Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menghasilkan media pembelajaran berupa powerpoint interaktif yang berbasis kompetensi abad 21 pada materi segiempat kelas VII SMP/MTs semester genap. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan atau Research and Development (RD). Model pengembangan yang digunakan pada penelitian ini mengacu pada model pengembangan menurut Borg dan Gall yang meliputi tujuh langkah pokok, yaitu: analisis kebutuhan, kemampuan peneliti sebagai pengembang, produk yang dikembangkan, konsep produk, pengembangan produk, uji ahli dan uji coba lapangan. Hasil penelitian produk media pembelajaran berupa powerpoint interaktif berbantuan iSpring Suite 8 yang berbasis kompetensi abad 21 pada materi segiempat di kelas VII SMP/MTs. Hasil uji kelayakan media pembelajaran ini diperoleh berdasarkan data dari angket penilaian para ahli, yaitu ahli media, ahli materi dan ahli bahasa. Hasil dari ahli media yaitu 87,5%, dari ahli materi 80,62%, dari ahli bahasa 82,69%, semua penilaian para ahli mencapai kategori sangat layak. Sedangkan kepraktisan media pembelajaran diperoleh dari data angket penilaian guru matematika yang hasilnya didapat 77,5% mencapai kategori sangat layak. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa secara keseluruhan media interaktif pada pembelajaran matematika berupa powerpoint berbantuan iSpring Suite 8 yang berbasis kompetensi abad 21 pada materi segiempat layak digunakan dalam kegiatan pembelajaran matematika.
This research is motivated by the low ability of problem solving skills of junior high school students. So that a learning model needed that can enhance this ability. The CORE model with open ended approach is believed to be able to improve problem solving skills in junior high school students. The research was conducted in Junior High School 8 Serang 2018/2019 academic year which aim to see the influence of CORE model with open ended approach on problem solving skills of junior high school students. The research method used in this study is quasi-experimental with the type of design that is the nonequivalent pretest posttest control group design. This studi involved two classes consisting of the experimental class and the control class. The population in this study were all students of class grade VII of Junior High School 8 Serang. The sample of this tudy was the VII A class as experimental class and VII B class as control class. The instrumen used in this study was a mathematical problem solving test instrument. The result of the study provide the conclution that there is an influence of CORE model with open ended approach on problem solving.
