Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menemukan persepsi mahasiswa EFL Indonesia terhadap penerapan flipped classroom. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain survey dan data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner dan disebarkan kepada 30 siswa yang mengalami implementasi flipped classroom. Kuesioner terdiri dari dua aspek, yaitu aspek kebermaknaan dan kompetensi. Hasil kuesioner dihitung secara statistik. Data pada aspek kebermaknaan mengungkapkan bahwa sebagian besar siswa memiliki persepsi positif terhadap pelaksanaan flipped classroom. Di sisi lain, dalam aspek kompetensi, siswa merasa bahwa flipped classroom bermanfaat untuk kompetensi menulis mereka. Namun, untuk kegiatan pra-kelas, seperti menonton video dan membaca materi daring, siswa memiliki berbagai persepsi di dalamnya. Mereka menyukai ide untuk meononton video pengajaran dan materi daring tambahan untuk mempersiapkan mereka sebelum kelas, tetapi mereka tidak benar-benar melihat arti pada pelaksanaan kegiatan pra-kelas tersebut.
This study aims to describe the affixation of Madurese verbs in the Pamekasan dialect of low speech level based on the perspective of derivation and inflexion. The data of this research is in the form of Pamekasan dialect Madurese verbs. The data sources in this study were 10 informants who were native speakers of the Pamekasan Madura dialect, which were determined using the snowball sampling technique. Data collection is done by using the interview method with elicitation techniques. The data obtained were then analyzed through three stages: the data reduction stage, the data presentation stage, and the conclusion preparation stage. The results showed three processes of verb-forming affixation in the Pamekasan dialect of Madura, including prefixation, suffixation, and confixation. Based on the data, it was found that several affixes that make up Pamekasan dialect Madurese verbs, including prefixes ma–, a–, ta–, N–, –, pa–, pa–, nga–, and ka–, suffixes –a, – aghi, and –è, and the confixes a–aghi, N–aghi, N–è, ma–aghi, –aghi, ma–ana, –è, a–an, ma–è, and ma–an. This affixation is divided into inflectional affixation, transpositional derivational affixation, and non-transpositional derivational affixation.
AbstrakMasyarakat Kalimantan Tengah yang mayoritas tinggal di sepanjang daerah aliran sungai besar, menjadikan sungai sebagai sesuatu yang penting dalam sendi-sendi kehidupan mereka. Budaya sungai yang dianut oleh masyarakat Kalimantan Tengah dapat dilihat dari leksikon-leksikon yang terkandung dalam toponimi wilayah. Penelitian ini berusaha mendeskripsikan leksikon-leksikon yang muncul dari budaya sungai yang tercermin dalam toponimi Kalimantan Tengah sehingga karakteristik masyarakatnya dapat terungkap. Penelitian ini mengungkap karakteristik budaya sungai Kalimantan tengah dari segi penamaan wilayah. Pendekatan etnosemantik digunakan untuk mengupas hubungan antara bahasa, budaya, dan pola pikir masyarakat. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan metode wawancara. Hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan bahwa cara menamai suatu wilayah di Kalimantan Tengah dipengaruhi oleh anatomi sungai yang terletak di hulu, tengah, dan hilir. Selain itu, sistem pengetahuan dan sistem kepercayaan juga turut berperan serta dalam penamaan toponim di Kalimantan Tengah. AbstractRivers have a significant role in the life of most of Central Kalimantan people living along riverbanks. Their river culture is reflected from their toponymic lexicon. The purpose of this study was to describe the lexicon of their river culture which is reflected from the toponyms found in Central Kalimantan in order to reveal their characters. Ethnosemantic approach was employed to reveal the relationship among language, culture, and mindset of the society. Data collection was carried out by means of interview method. The result of this study shows that the toponyms in Central Kalimantan was influenced by river’s anatomy i.e. upstream, middle and downstream Furthermore, it was also influenced by knowledge and belief systems.
The variations of Madurese intensifying adjectives were investigated in this study. This qualitative study uses a questionnaire as the main instrument to know the intensifying adjectives used by the participants. The participants were asked to translate some sentences from Indonesian to Madurese based on their daily conversations. The participants are native Madurese speakers aged between 15-60 years. The study revealed that there were 28 variations of intensifying adjectives in Madurese which consist of 17 variations of quality level, 3 variations using a determiner before an adjective, 4 variations using a determiner after adjective, 9 variations using a determiner and suffix, and 1 variation using a confix. In the comparative level, it can be divided into equative, comparative, and superlative. There are 5 variations from a comparison of the equivalent level in Madurese, while in the comparative level only one variation is done, it is the addition of lebbi ... deri ..., and the superlative level found 5 variations in the intensity of adjectives.
