Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menemukan persepsi mahasiswa EFL Indonesia terhadap penerapan flipped classroom. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain survey dan data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner dan disebarkan kepada 30 siswa yang mengalami implementasi flipped classroom. Kuesioner terdiri dari dua aspek, yaitu aspek kebermaknaan dan kompetensi. Hasil kuesioner dihitung secara statistik. Data pada aspek kebermaknaan mengungkapkan bahwa sebagian besar siswa memiliki persepsi positif terhadap pelaksanaan flipped classroom. Di sisi lain, dalam aspek kompetensi, siswa merasa bahwa flipped classroom bermanfaat untuk kompetensi menulis mereka. Namun, untuk kegiatan pra-kelas, seperti menonton video dan membaca materi daring, siswa memiliki berbagai persepsi di dalamnya. Mereka menyukai ide untuk meononton video pengajaran dan materi daring tambahan untuk mempersiapkan mereka sebelum kelas, tetapi mereka tidak benar-benar melihat arti pada pelaksanaan kegiatan pra-kelas tersebut.

This descriptive qualitative study aims to investigate English student teachers’ perceptions of their readiness to take the internship regarding some aspects. The data were mainly collected through interviews. The interviewees were six students in the sixth semester of ELT program of the State University of Malang. The researcher recruited six student teachers with high, average, and low achievement based on their GPA. The data were analyzed descriptively according to three steps which consist of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The research showed that the student teachers were still feeling not ready enough in some aspects. The first aspect is almost all of them had an issue with the duration of the internship that is too short. Second, not all the student teachers majoring English Language Teaching have a desire to be a teacher although teaching is the primary field of work that they have been prepared for throughout their university study. Third, another factor that makes them feel unready is anxiety. Fourth, from the content courses aspect, there was an issue with the seq uences of the courses that made student teachers confused in planning a lesson. Lastly, regarding skill courses, the respondents thought the courses are already adequate, and they already got good scores, but they stated that they still have some issues with it(Persepsi Mahasiswa KPL tentang Kesiapan Mereka untuk Menjalani KPL Keguruan)Penelitian deskriptif kualitatif ini bertujuan untuk mencari tahu kesiapan mahasiswa KPL Jurusan Sastra Inggris untuk menjalani KPL Keguruan di beberapa aspek. Data penelitian ini didapatkan melalui wawancara. Subjek yang diwawancai adalah enam mahasiswa semester enam dari Pendidikan Bahasa Inggris, Universitas Negeri Malang. Peneliti merekrut enam mahasiswa KPL dengan prestasi tinggi, sedang, dan rendah berdasarkan IPK. Data penelitian dianalisis berdasarkan tiga tahapan yang terdiri atas reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan simpulan. Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mahasiswa KPL masih belum siap di beberapa aspek. Aspek pertama adalah hampir semua dari enam mahasiswa KPL memiliki pemikiran bahwa durasi dari KPL Keguruan terlalu singkat. Kedua, tidak semua mahasiswa KPL Pendidikan Bahasa Inggris memiliki minat untuk menjadi guru walaupun mengajar adalah peluang kerja yang dipersiapkan selama belajar di universitas. Ketiga, faktor lain yang membuat mereka tidak siap adalah kegelisahan. Keempat, dari aspek mata kuliah konten terdapat isu tentang urutan mata kuliah yang membuat mahasiswa KPL bingung tentang perencanaan pembelajaran. Terakhir di aspek mata kuliah kecakapakan berbahasa Inggris, responden mengatakan bahwa mata kuliah tersebut sudah cukup membantu dan nilainya sudah mencukupi, tetapi mereka masih memiliki beberapa permasalahan

This study aims to find out the effects of Korean songs and videos on vocabulary size of adult Korean language learners through one-way communication. To collect the data, three respondents participated in a picture-naming task in Korean and questionnaire is used to know the frequency of the participants in listening to Korean songs and watching Korean videos. The result showed that acquiring vocabularies on adult learners is difficult because of motivation and age factors. All participants of this study have exposed to Korean content media for more than five years, yet none of them got a perfect score on vocabulary test, but they got different motivations for learning Korean. It can be concluded, the higher the motivation on learner is the better result the learner’s got. Korean vocabulary acquisition by listening to Korean songs and watching Korean videos is possible yet not easily acquired by adult learners. ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh lagu dan video Korea pada kosakata pembelajar Bahasa Korea dewasa melalui komunikasi satu arah. Untuk mengumpulkan data, tiga responden berpartisipasi dalam penamaan gambar dalam Bahasa Korea dan kuesioner digunakan untuk mengetahui frekuensi peserta dalam mendengarkan lagu Korea dan menonton video Korea. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa memperoleh kosakata pada pelajar dewasa sulit karena motivasi dan faktor usia. Semua peserta penelitian ini telah terpapar ke media berkonten Korea selama lebih dari lima tahun, namun tidak satupun dari mereka mendapat nilai sempurna pada tes kosakata, tetapi mereka mendapat motivasi yang berbeda untuk belajar Bahasa Korea. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa semakin tinggi motivasi pada pelajar adalah hasil yang lebih baik pelajar dapatkan. Pemerolehan kosakata Bahasa Korea dengan mendengarkan lagu-lagu Korea dan menonton video Korea adalah mungkin namun tidak mudah diperoleh oleh pembelajar dewasa.

Leonardo DiCaprio was chosen as United Nations Messenger of Peace in 2014 and gave speech in the Paris Agreement on the U.N. This research aim to find out how climate change described on the lexical choices used by Leonardo DiCaprio on his U.N. speech to convey his ideology. This research uses qualitative research design with critical discourse analysis approach proposed by Norman Fairclough. The data of this research is Leonardo DiCaprio’s speech at the opening of Signature Ceremony for the Paris Agreement by the U.N. The result is his ideology is represented on his lexical choices, which are positive and negative representation that describes his movement and combat against the climate change that represents on his U.N. speech as Messenger of Peace on climate change.
