The aims of this research were to study the effect of principals' leadership style, the professional competence, and the teachers disciplinary at work toward the teacher's effectiveness work at elementary School in Samarinda. The method used in this research was the quantitative approach. Data surveys collected from 178 teachers drawn at random. Data analysis using path analysis. The results showed that: 1) the principal leadership style, professional competence, and work discipline have a positive direct effect toward the effectiveness of teachers' work, and 2) the principal leadership style, and professional competence have a positive direct effect toward the work discipline
The study of the role of the principal's instructional leadership in the learning process is a critical factor in increasing the effectiveness of learning. This study aims to investigate the role of school principals' instructional leadership in increasing the effectiveness of learning in Samarinda Public Middle Schools, with a focus on how school principals formulate and communicate the vision, mission, and goals of the school, plan and coordinate curriculum, and carry out instructional supervision in increasing learning effectiveness. This study used a qualitative interview design involving eight participants: two teachers, three vice principals, two school committee members, and one school principal. Interview data were analyzed interactively and thematically. The results of this study indicate that the principal's strategy is to formulate the school's vision, mission, and goals together with teachers, school committees, and stakeholders. The active involvement of all stakeholders is one of the keys to realizing the school's vision and mission. The principal encourages teachers' creative efforts in learning so that learning constraints are in the classroom. Efforts to develop and improve teacher quality and transparent and objective evaluation are necessary, and evaluation is the final activity of management processes and actions. The obstacles faced were that teachers could not use interactive with students freely, the delivery of student character was partially not fulfilled, counselling guidance was not optimal, and extracurricular activities were not optimal. Efforts that have been made to overcome these obstacles are to maintain students' enthusiasm always to be active in learning, solicit learning feedback from students, and evaluate together.
This research aims to describe national examination based on CBT methods that looked at human resources, infrastructures, students, strategies, and national examination weakness based on CBT implementation at Vocational School 1 North Sangatta. This research is a descriptive study with a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques can be done through observation, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation. This research was conducted at Vocational School 1 North Sangatta. The results show that: (1) national examination based on Computer Based Test implementation methods clearly: preparation step, planning step and the implementation step. (2) the weakness of national study based on Computer Based Test implementation methods are technique and non-technique problems. This problem is solved by (a) increase electricity supply, (b) hold and repair hardware of computer which not suitable with qualifications, (c) register for the remedial test. Pemberdayaan masyarakat merupakan proses peningkatan kapasitas masyarakat untuk memberikan daya kepada masyarakat. Pemberdayaan masyarakat dapat dilaksanakan dengan memberikan pendidikan nonformal kepada masyarakat. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Kampung Selangan Kota Bontang menggunakan jenis penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan metode wawancara, observasi, dan studi dokumentasi. Subjek dari data narasumber terdiri dari CSR PT. Badak NGL, pengelola wisata, ketua RT 16, dan masyarakat Kampung Selangan. Teknik analisis data menggunakan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Keabsahan data menggunakan triangulasi sumber dan triangulasi teknik. Hasil penelitian dalam penelitian ini adalah Tahap penyadaran pada pemberdayaan masyarakat melalui pengembangan ekowisata dinilai dari tiga aspek, yaitu persiapan sebagai langkah awal dalam memperkenalkan program pemberdayaan, sosialisasi sebagai pendekatan kepada masyarakat. Tahap transformasi pengetahuan pada pemberdayaan masyarakat melalui pengembangan ekowisata dinilai dari aspek pelatihan sebagai proses transfer pengetahuan dan menggunakan praktek lapangan sebagai pelaksanaan secara nyata dari tahapan sebelumnya. Tahap pemandirian kepada masyarakat dilaksanakan dengan memberikan peluang atau kuasa kepada masyarakat dengan memberikan bantuan kepada masyarakat.
kurangnya kemampuan kognitif siswa dalam menguasai konsep pembelajaran IPA. Hal ini disebabkan siswa menganggap materi IPA sebagai materi yang tidak menarik, abstrak dan konsepnya sulit untuk dipahami. Salah satu model pembelajaran yang dapat digunakan untuk meningkatkan kognitif siswa dalam pembelajaran yang abstrak adalah model Project Based Learning. Hal ini dikarenakan Project Based Learning merupakan model pembelajaran yang berpusat pada siswa dan memberikan pengalaman belajar yang bermakna bagi siswa. Tujuan yang ingin dicapai dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan model pembelajaran Project Based Learning terhadap penguasaan materi IPA. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian eksperimen dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Intrumen penelitian terdiri dari lembar pretest dan posttest. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah uji-T. Hasil uji hipotesis menggunakan uji-T menunjukkan bahwa nilai Asymp.Sig. (2-tailed) kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 59 sebesar 0,000. Karena 0,000 < 0,05 maka Hα diterima dan Ho ditolak. Sehingga berdasarkan uji hipotesis tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh model Project Based Learning terhadap penguasaan materi IPA siswa.
