The purpose of this study is to examine the influence of attitude, subjective norm, perceived behavioral control, gender and self-efficacy towards college students' intention to practice online business in Surabaya. Theory of planned behavior is used to analyze student intention to become an entrepreneur through e-commerce especially online shop platform, thus becoming solution to decrease unemployment rate in Indonesia and furthermore increasing the economy of Indonesia in general. This research uses primary data resources which collected directly by distributing questionnaires to 114 respondents. The respondents are college students that use e-commerce application at least once a month. The findings of this study are attitude has a negative effect towards student' s intention to practice online business, subjective norm and perceived behavioral control have a positive effect towards student' s intention to practice online business. Self-efficacy could not moderate the effect of attitude on student' s intention to practice online business. Female college students have a higher intention to practice online business compared to male college students. AbstrakTujuan dari penelitian ini untuk menganalisis pengaruh attitude, subjective norm, perceived behavioral control, gender dan self-efficacy terhadap niatan mahasiswa untuk menjalankan bisnis secara online di Surabaya. Penelitian ini menggunakan Theory of Planned Behavior dalam menganalisis niat mahasiswa untuk menjadi wirausaha yang berbasis penjualan digital terutama online shop, sehingga dapat menjadi solusi untuk mengurangi tingkat pengangguran di Indonesia, terlebih lagi dapat meningkatkan perekonomian Indonesia secara umum. Penelitian ini menggunakan sumber data primer yang diperoleh secara langsung dengan menyebarkan kuesioner kepada 114 responden. Kriteria responden adalah mahasiswa yang menggunakan aplikasi e-commerce setidaknya sebulan sekali. Temuan dari penelitian ini adalah attitude memiliki pengaruh negatif terhadap student's intention to practice online business, subjective norm dan perceived behavioral control memiliki pengaruh positif terhadap student's intention to practice online business. Self-efficacy tidak mampu memoderasi pengaruh attitude terhadap student's intention to practice online business. Mahasiswa perempuan memiliki student's intention to practice online business yang lebih tinggi daripada mahasiswa laki-laki. JEL Classification: M1, M13
Pertumbuhan e-commerce yang pesat dalam kurun waktu 4 tahun terakhir menjadi peluang bisnis yang sangat potensial di Indonesia. Peluang tersebut dapat menjadi alternatif solusi bagi pengangguran di Indonesia yang meningkat pada tahun 2017. Namun melihat bahwa industri digital tergolong industri yang padat modal, perlu kemudian kiranya dikaji kembali arah pemanfaatan peluang tersebut. Fokus dari penciptaan lapangan kerja sebaiknya tidak pada penciptaaan platform-platform e-commerce yang semakin banyak, namun pada bagaimana calon pelaku bisnis dan pelaku bisnis yang sudah ada dapat memanfaatkan platform-platform e- commerce tersebut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh perceived ease of use danperceived usefulness terhadap e-commerce intention melalui aplikasi online shop di Surabaya. Sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif dengan menggunakan kuisioner sebagai instrumen. Hubungan antar variabelnya kemudian diuji menggunakan partial least square dengan software smartPLS. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh positif signifikan perceived ease of use terhadap e- commerce intention dan pengaruh positif signifikan perceived ease of use terhadap perceived usefulness. Pengaruh perceived usefulness terhadap e-commerce intention ditemukan positif namun tidak signifikan.
The aim of this study is to analyze the effect of entrepreneurship education on the entrepreneurial intention of college students in Surabaya. Purposive sampling was used towards 220 college students. The criteria of the samples were students who already took entrepreneurship subject for bachelor degree and entrepreneurship practicum for vocational studies. This study used Mann-Whitney U-Test through SPSS and partial least squares through SmartPLS. This study finds: 1) attitude, subjective norm and perceived behavioral control have a positive significant impact towards entrepreneurial intention, 2) entrepreneurship education has a positive significant impact towards entrepreneurial intention,3) entrepreneurship education failed to moderate any of the theory of planned behavior variables effect toward entrepreneurial intention, 4) gender failed to moderate the relationship between entrepreneurship education and entrepreneurial intention, 5) there was no difference on the level of entrepreneurial intention between male and female college students, 6) there was no difference on the level of entrepreneurial intention between bachelor degree and vocational studies students.
This study aimed to analyze factors that could influence continuous usage intention on freemium applications and purchase intention of premium services among students. Non-probability purposive sampling was used to determine the respondent. The criteria for the sample for this study were students who used freemium applications. Data were analyzed using Partial Least Square. The results confirmed that only reliability and responsiveness positively impacted customer satisfaction among the service quality dimensions, while assurance and empathy showed no effect. Only assurance and responsiveness were found to affect continuous usage intention positively, while empathy and reliability were found to have no effect. There was no evidence of the effect of the dimensions of service quality on purchase intention. Perceived value failed to moderate the effect of service quality on customer satisfaction. While there was a significant positive impact of customer satisfaction towards continuous usage intention, no effect has been found towards purchase intention. Continuous usage intention was confirmed to have a positive impact on purchase intention.JEL: O32, M31, L11ABSTRAKTujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis faktor-faktor yang dapat mempengaruhi continuous usage intention dan purchase intention pada aplikasi yang memiliki layanan premium pada mahasiswa. Non-probability purposive sampling digunakan untuk menentukan jenis responden. Kriteria sampel pada penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa yang menggunakan aplikasi freemium. Data dianalisa menggunakan Partial Least Square. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa diantara dimensi service quality, hanya reliability dan responsiveness yang berpengaruh positif terhadap customer satisfaction sedangkan assurance dan empathy tidak berpengaruh. Hanya assurance dan responsiveness yang ditemukan berpengaruh positif terhadap continuous usage intention sedangkan empathy dan reliability ditemukan tidak berpengaruh. Seluruh dimensi service quality ditemukan tidak berpengaruh terhadap purchase intention. Perceived value tidak mampu memoderasi pengaruh service quality terhadap customer satisfaction. Customer satisfaction ditemukan berpengaruh positif terhadap continuous usage intention tetapi tidak terhadap purchase intention. UMKM di Indonesia khususnya di daerah yang masih tergolong terpencil seperti di Desa Pakis Kecamatan Kunjang Kabupaten Kediri, harus dipupuk agar dapat berkembang lebih baik lagi. Berbagai kegiatan seperti pengelolaan persediaan, strategi pemasaran dan implementasi pembukuan sederhana merupakan serangkaian elemen penting yang diharapkan dapat meningkatkan pertumbuhan UMKM khususnya di Desa Pakis. Tujuan dari dilakukannya Kegiatan Pengabdian Masyarakat melalui Pelatihan Tata Kelola Persediaan, Pemasaran dan Pembukuan Sederhana terhadap Mitra UMKM Desa Pakis adalah memberikan kesadaran akan pentingnya melakukan tata kelola persediaan, pemasaran dan pembukuan sederhana pada berbagai UMKM di beberapa sektor yang ada disana. Selain dosen dari STIESIA selaku pelaksana kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini, penyuluhan yang dilakuan juga melibatan mitra yaitu Himpunan Mahasiswa (HIMA) Manajemen STIESIA. Hasil yang diperoleh dari kegiatan pemasaran ini adalah peningkatan pemahaman mitra terhadap tata kelola persediaan, pemasaran dan pembukuan sederhana, dalam rangka meningkatkan nilai produk dan omset penjualan yang dihasilkan.
This study aims to investigate e-commerce adoption using extended technology acceptance model (TAM) by adding self-efficacy and anxiety. The research samples included 233 undergraduate students were collected using an online survey form distributed through chat groups and social media. The collected data were analysed using partial least square-structural equation modelling (PLS-SEM) to investigate the proposed hypotheses in the model. This study found that self-efficacy has no impact towards perceived usefulness, self-efficacy has positive significant impact towards perceived ease of use, anxiety has no impact on both perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use, perceived usefulness has positive significant impact towards attitude, perceived ease of use has no impact towards attitude, perceived ease of use has positive significant impact on perceived usefulness, perceived usefulness has no impact towards e-commerce adoption, perceived ease of use has positive significant impact towards e-commerce adoption, and attitude has a positive significant impact towards e-commerce adoption. These findings further confirmed that TAM not only could be used to predict e-ticketing, e-learning, e-payment, and e-commerce purchase adoption but also e-commerce entrepreneurship. This study also further confirmed that the relationship between extended variable such as self-efficacy and anxiety with TAM variables might vary according to where the investigation was being held.
The impact of the corona virus pandemic (covid-19) is felt in all aspects of community life, especially Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). Through various training and mentoring activities which include the use of online marketing and sales improvement strategies is a concrete and concrete manifestation in an effort to increase entrepreneurial awareness among students of SMK IPIEMS Surabaya. The purpose of the realization of Community Service Activities through Online Marketing Training and Assistance by Utilizing the Shopee Mobile Marketplace Platform and Strategies to Increase Sales in the Covid Pandemic Period at SMK IPIEMS Surabaya is to provide insight and understanding of the importance of the ability to do online marketing and increase sales of goods to consumers. students of SMK IPIEMS Surabaya so that when they graduate they become entrepreneurs. In addition to lecturers from the School of Economics Indonesia Surabaya as the implementer of this Community Service activity, the counseling and mentoring carried out also involves strategic partners, namely Shopee Indonesia. The results obtained from this training and mentoring activity are students' understanding of the online marketing of the Mobile Marketplace Platform and sales improvement strategies, in order to increase product value and the resulting sales turnover.
Several English course institutes started to employ sojourners as their native speaker tutor. The degree of intention to stay from the sojourner defines whether they choose to stay and work at their companies in Indonesia, move from their initial companies to work for other companies, or go back to their countries. The purpose of this study is to analyze effect of perceived inability to adjust and unwillingness to adjust toward general adjustment and work adjustment. This study then analyzes the effect of general adjustment and work adjustment towards intention to stay of british sojourners who works for the English course. This is a quantitative study, sample used in this study were all the natiove speakers who work in “K” and “BI” English course institution. This study used questionnaire, then to further analyze the relationship among all variables, PLS was used through SmartPLS software. This study found that there was negative effect of perceived inability to adjust and unwillingness to adjust towards general adjustment and work adjustment, among these negative effects only unwillingness to adjust towards general adjustment that showed significant result. This study also found that general adjustment and work adjustment had a positive significant impact towards intention to stay.
