Objective:To analyze the context of health promotion with adolescents in the health and education interface focusing on the actions of the Brazilian School Health Program. Method: Qualitative study conducted in 2015 with professionals working in the Regional Executive Coordination IV, in Fortaleza, Ceará. The data obtained in the interview were processed in the ALCESTE program. Results: 17 health professionals and 22 education professionals participated in the study. The organization of spontaneous demand causes disharmony in the scheduled visits and health actions in the school. The difficulties in the implementation of the School Health Program were demonstrated by the lack of knowledge, the lack of planning among the sectors and the different demarcations in the territory. Conclusion: The professionals' lack of knowledge regarding the program and the lack of action planning confirm the disarticulation of the education and health sectors, although they indicate the possibilities of this inter-sectoral practice.
The purpose was to analyse the managerial work of the nurse, to know nurses' actions, to verify the importance towards the planning and to identify some factors that interfere in the management. A descriptive research was accomplished in 10 basic health units in Fortaleza, CE, Brazil, with 10 nurses. Data collection was carried aout in january 2008, by means of a structured interview. Most of the nurses were female between 37 and 57 years-old. For seven nurses the management of people and the planning are the most important aspects. Some difficulties about the incomplete composition of the teams, lack of professional ability and low financial resource were reported. This research gathers information for knowledge and analisys of the management actions of the nurses in the basic atention.
Objective: Refl ect on the essence of care in health vulnerability from the phenomenological perspective of Martin Heidegger. Method: Theoretical-refl exive study, anchored in three essential parts: 1) Care in Heidegger; 2) The essence of care in health vulnerability; And 3) Nursing care actions on health vulnerability. Results: Vulnerability must be recognized as an indelible trait of the human condition and has its constituents in the human being, co-presence and care. Caring is an interactive process that reveals itself in the relationship with the other. Respecting the integrity of the Being in vulnerability must be a priority in nursing care, through behaviors that privilege the Being. Conclusion: Understanding ontological care and its relation to vulnerability under Heidegger's phenomenological view allowed us to uncover the facets of care in health vulnerability by adding to the nursing knowledge body a comprehensive and refl ective perspective. Objective: to discuss the role of Brazilian nursing to face political, economic and sanitary challenges that compose the crisis situation related to Covid-19 pandemics. Methods: Critical-thinking study with analytics characteristics, based on latin-american critical epidemiology and on the concept of social determination of health. Results: the central issues related to the Brazilian political-economic and health scenario are problematized, with emphasis on the impacts in terms of social inequality deepening. Nursing role is discussed considering the impacts in these worker’s health, and the relevance of nurses’ actions in the several professional practice scenarios to defend social protection. Conclusions: the role of Brazilian nursing as a social practice for the defense of life and universal access to health is reaffirmed as a way of achieving social justice.
Objective: To analyze, in the speeches of nurses, the habitus that conforms their professional identity in the primary health care area. Method: Qualitative study, carried out from March to October 2015, with nurses of primary healthcare units in the cities of Cajazeiras, in the state of Paraíba, and Maracanaú, in the state of Ceará. Data were collected by means of semi-structured interviews, and analyzed through discourse analysis. Results: Nurses, in their practice and perception, perceive that professional identity is linked to the meaning that involves the word "everything". This situation constitutes a habitus that directs the range of daily actions, often distant from the profession's core of knowledge. Final considerations: Trying to be and do everything in primary health care involves negative repercussions in the professional identity of nurses. Strategic guidance is necessary in order to achieve and embrace elements that reflect the essence of this category.
Objective: To analyze overweight in young adult students from the individual dimension of vulnerability, especially its interpersonal and subjective markers. Method: An analytical quantitative study was performed with 560 young adults from 26 schools in a capital city in Northeastern Brazil. After obtaining data to administer specifi c questionnaires, logistic regression was used to identify markers of individual vulnerability. Results: In the bivariate analysis, overweight showed a statistically signifi cant association with self-perception of health, satisfaction with body image and self-perception of overweight, the latter remaining in the fi nal regression model. Conclusion: It can be mainly concluded that self-perception of overweight is distorted when compared to one's actual body weight and, for this reason, young adults are vulnerable to dysfunctional health states. However, it was confi rmed that this health condition must be understood in an individual and contextual perspective. Key words: Overweight; Obesity; Health Vulnerability; Body Image; Young Adult. RESUMO Objetivo: analisar o excesso ponderal em adultos jovens escolares a partir da dimensão individual da vulnerabilidade, especifi camente de seus marcadores interpessoais e subjetivos. Método: delineou-se um estudo analítico, quantitativo, realizado com 560 adultos jovens de 26 escolas de uma capital do nordeste brasileiro. Após obtenção dos dados pela aplicação de questionários específi cos, utilizou-se a regressão logística para identifi cação dos marcadores de vulnerabilidade individual. Resultados: na análise bivariada, o excesso ponderal apresentou associação estatística signifi cativa com autopercepção de saúde, satisfação corporal e autopercepção de excesso ponderal, esta permanecendo no modelo fi nal da regressão. Conclusão: conclui-se, sobremaneira, que a autopercepção de excesso ponderal sofre distorções em relação à real situação corporal e por isso torna o adulto jovem vulnerável a estados disfuncionais de saúde. Objetivo: Descrever a experiência vivenciada por enfermeiras em conexão com Agentes comunitários de saúde para enfrentamento local da pandemia COVID-19. Método: Relato de experiência desenvolvido a partir de ações de enfermeiras que atuam na Estratégia Saúde da Família do município de Icó, Estado do Ceará, destacando o importante papel que os Agentes comunitários de saúde desenvolvem junto à população nesse cenário. Resultados: A partir da experiência vivenciada, pode-se observar o importante papel que os Agentes Comunitários de Saúde têm apresentando frente à pandemia da COVD-19, mesmo apresentando medo e insegurança. Evidenciou-se ainda durante esse período que seu papel de educador em saúde é imprescindível nas ações desenvolvidas dentro dos territórios. Além disso, esses profissionais têm sido protagonistas importantes nas atividades realizadas dentro das Estratégias de Saúde da Família, fortalecendo assim o trabalho da equipe bem como o controle e combate da infecção pelo novo Coronavírus. COMMUNITY HEALTH AGENTS IN FRONT OF COVID-19: EXPERIENCES WITH NURSING PROFESSIONALSObjective: To describe the experience lived by nurses in connection with community health workers to face the pandemic COVID-19 locally. Method: Experience report developed from the actions of nurses working in the Family Health Strategy in the municipality of Icó, State of Ceará, highlighting the important role that community health agents play with the population in this scenario. Results: Based on the experience, it is possible to observe the important role that Community Health Agents have playing in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic, even with fear and insecurity. It was also evident during this period that his role as a health educator is essential in the actions developed within the territories. In addition, these professionals have been important protagonists in the activities carried out within the Family Health Strategies, thus strengthening the team’s work as well as controlling and fighting infection by the new Coronavirus. This essay discusses the role of Brazilian nursing as a socially committed practice, in the political and pedagogic plan. The concepts of popular participation, representative and participatory democracy, and education in health are recovered, enlightened by the recent history of the constitution of social network of practices and reflections called Popular Education and Health. The construction process and the ethical-political principles of a National Policy of Popular Education in Health are presented, discussing the participation of nursing in the changes of educational practices, in spaces of political representation and formulation of public policies, with a perspective of achieving a fair and equal social order.
