Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa kelas VII A pada materi perbandingan di SMP BOPKRI 5 Yogyakarta. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian kualitatif deskriptif. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII A SMP BOPKRI 5 Yogyakarta. Teknik sampling yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah purposive sampling. Metode pengumpulan data berupa tes soal kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Seluruh data kemudian dianalisis melalui reduksi data, penyajian data, menarik kesimpulan dan verifikasi. Hasil pembahasan menunjukkan subjek dengan kategori tinggi mampu menyelesaikan pemecahan masalah dari tiap tahapan pemecahan masalah dengan benar. Subjek dengan kategori sedang dalam menyelesaikan masalah, mampu menyelesaikan pemecahan masalah soal dan memenuhi semua indikator, namun dalam tahapan pengecekan kembali masih kurang yaitu membuat kesimpulan yang kurang sistematis dalam penyelesaiannya. Subjek dengan kategori rendah belum mampu menyelesaikan masalah pada soal yang diberikan sehingga belum memenuhi semua indikator kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis. Implikasi dari penelitian adalah diharapkan guru mampu meningkatkan pemahaman siswa mengenai kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis sehingga siswa mampu memecahkan masalah matematis dengan baik dan benar.
Research is based on the limited learning resources that can be used by students independently. The purpose of this research is to develop a Mathematics module in Jogja culture- based at junior high school with the material of Flat Side Space Building. To be able to find out the feasibility, effectiveness of the Jogja Culture-based Mathematics module that has been developed, and to determine the level of character of the love of the local culture of students through the implementation of the developed Mathematics module. This research use research and development design. Development carried out by referring to the 4-D model found by Tiagarajan is modified to 3-D including define, design, and develop. The subjects of this study are students of class VIIIB of SMP 2 Pajangan, Bantul Academic Year 2017 / 2018. The instruments used included Module assessment sheets, test instruments, questionnaire sheets, instrument validation sheets. The research data obtained is analyzed by descriptive percentage. The results show that the mathematics module based on DIY culture material Flat Side Space Building had fulfilled the eligibility criteria which included valid, effective, and practical. Valid based on expert judgment that shows the quality of worksheets is very good category with an ideal percentage of 85.7%. These results indicate that the Culture-based Mathematics module developed is suitable for use in the eighth grade mathematics learning in junior high school.
This study aims to develop Matrix Algebra course teaching materials based on the M-APOS learning model to improve students’ mathematical self-regulated learning with valid, practical, and effective criteria. This is a research and development (research and development) using the ADDIE method (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). Validity test of teaching material was by expert judgment. The practicality test of teaching material was conducted by evaluating 5 small-scale test subjects and 24 large-scale trials. The effectiveness test of teaching materials is carried out by implementing the Matrix Algebra course by analyzing self regulated learning. The stages in this study include the Analysis, Design, Development and Evaluation stages. 1) The analysis phase includes analyzing the needs, characteristics of students, and curriculum. 2) The design phase includes activities to determine the product design (teaching material) to be developed, an outline of the presentation of the material, collecting references and compiling assessment instruments. 3) Development phase, namely the activity of making and testing teaching materials. 4) The evaluation phase shows that the development of teaching materials in the form of Matrix Algebra modules based on the M-APOS learning model can improve students’ mathematical self regulated learning in a valid, practical, and effective criteria.
Tujuan pembelajaran matematika di tingkat dasar hingga menengah salah satunya adalah memfasilitasi kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui level kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa. Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kuantitatif dengan sumber data utama adalah skor kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa. Prosedur penelitian dilakukan dengan tiga tahapan yaitu persiapan, pelaksanaan, dan akhir. Data penelitian yang diperoleh diolah dan dianalisis menggunakan teknik kuantitatif kemudian dideskripsikan tingkat kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa berada pada level tertentu. Berdasarkan hasil pengolahan data dan disesuaikan dengan tujuan penelitian maka dapat disebutkan hasil penelitian yang menunjukkan level kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa termasuk dalam kriteria tinggi untuk indikator mudah memahami permasalahan, cukup untuk indicator mampu merancakan strategi, kriteria sangat tinggi untuk menggolongkan indicator melaksanakan rencana, dan sangat rencah untuk indicator mengecek kembali jawaban.
This study aims to analyzes students’ reasoning process in working on story problems using a realistic mathematical approach. The type of research is qualitative research. To obtain data in this study, instruments in the form of descriptive questions were compiled and developed by researchers (test method). To get accurate data, the tests used in this study must meet right test criteria. The research population in this small study was comprised of grade VII students from SMP PGRI Kasihan. Three groups of students participated in this study as research subjects. Data analysis conducted in this study was based on descriptive qualitative analysis techniques. Data analysis covered data reduction, data display, and drawing a conclusion. The results showed several locations of errors, types of errors, and causes of students’ mistakes in solving story problems in class VII SMP PGRI Kasihan, i.e., students still had difficulty in solving problematic challenges that demanded the ability to reason, were still not creative enough to prepare steps or strategy toward building complete answer, and not optimal in creating argumentation to answer problems that require the ability to provide argument or argument in the form of reasoning as the answer.
This research aims to: 1) create a reflective picture storybook media developed based on socioculture, and 2) determine the eligibility score of the socioculture-based reflective picture storybook media in improving social skill and creativeness of grade IV elementary pupils. This research follows ADDIE research and development method. Subjects for field testing came from Class IV State Elementary School (SDN) 2 Jonggrangan Kulon Progo, Yogyakarta, Indonesia and numbered 17 pupils. Data were obtained from observation, questionnaire, and documentation. The result from the research indicates that: 1) The reflective picture storybook is successfully developed based on sociocultural considerations; 2) Eligibility of the media according to evaluation by media expert in percentage reaches 85,81%, according to material expert reaches 86,02%, and according to students’ response reaches 86,00%.
Media literacy, understood as the ability to access, evaluate and produce media content, is crucial to a well-informed citizenry's participation in society. Digital literacy, a variant of media literacy, consists of functional and critical skills and knowledge about the Internet. This community service activity is carried out in order to optimize the residents of Kampung Nalayan in Tambak Lorok Village of Semarang City with a background in parental education and low attention to the community. Children's education. Based on the observations, there are 2 main problems faced by partners, among others: (1) the literacy of the people of Fisherman's Village Tambak Lorok Semarang City is still low, and (2) Local government efforts (RT/RW) on the development of education and literacy are limited. Based on these problems, the solution offered is (1) realizing literacy movement activities, (2) socialization and mentoring literacy houses in Fisherman's Village Tambak Lorok City of Semarang. Special and external targets produced: (1) the design of literacy houses for the people of Fisherman's Village Tambak Lorok Semarang, (2) the provision of buu shelves, (3) the provision of a large number of books, (4) the socialization of digital literacy. The method of community service implementation is carried out gradually, sustainably, and comprehensively carried out through mentoring and socialization methods.
