Matrix converter is a good choice for Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor (PMSM) drives, because it has high power density and does not require dc-link energy storage. the disadvantages of conventional matrix converter is using 18 active switches, so it becomes expensive and the modulation method becomes more complicated than back to back converter. To minimize this problem, this paper proposes variable speed drive of PMSM using Ultra Sparse Matrix Converter (USMC) based on Direct Torque Control (DTC) methods. This converter uses only 9 active switches, making it cheaper than conventional matrix converter. DTC is designed based on Space Vector Modulation (SVM) to reduce torque and flux ripples due to the hysteresis control in conventional DTC. The simulation results show that DTC based SVM using USMC effectively controls the rotor speed with low torque and flux ripples.
The purpose of this research is : (1) to determine if there is influence of pedagogic and professional competence of SMK teachers to teachers’ commitment after certification (2) to determine how much influence of pedagogic and professional competence of SMK teachers to teachers’ commitment after certification. This research is a quantative descriptive research. The data collecting instrument used was questionnaire and data analysis used was multiple regression technique. The result showed : (1) there is a significant effect from pedagogic and professional competence of SMK teachers to teachers’ commitment in study process after certification (2) the percentage of commitment, pedagogic and professional competence of certified teachers are still low on average.
Media is an important component to stimulate the mind and encourage the learning process. The background of the implementation of this research is the use of media that has not supported the implementation of good learning and helps students while learning from home. This can be seen from the students' understanding of the subject matter which is lacking and the minimum number of students doing the lesson. The purpose of this research is to produce video-based learning media that are categorized as valid and practical that can help students in online learning. The research method used is Research and Development (R&D). The development model used is the 4 D model which consists of 4 stages, namely Define, Design, Develop, Desseminate, developed by Thiagarajan. The assessment was carried out by a team of validators consisting of material experts and media experts, while practicality was assessed by the subject teacher. The results of the research obtained are video-based learning media based on the assessment of the material experts getting a valid category seen from the content and learning aspects. Meanwhile, media eligibility based on media experts is categorized as valid. The practicality assessment that was assessed by the subject teacher resulted in a very practical category. In conclusion, the resulting learning videos are valid and practical so that students can use them to support learning from home.
This study reveals the improvement of people's lifeskills after attending a repair and maintenance program for household electronic equipment in Kenagarian Kapau Alam Pauh Duo, Kecamatan Pauh Duo, Kabupaten Solok Selatan. Lifeskills in question is the ability in the field of repairing and maintaining household electronic equipment that is commonly used in everyday life. Increased ability of trainees is measured by using a research instrument in the form of Performance Assessment Rubric that has been through the validation process. The research data are analyzed by percentage analysis and interpreted with an improvement table to get the level of improvement achieved. Research subjects are 15 trainees who were community representatives in the Nagari Kapau Alam Pauh Duo. The results showed that the average participant experienced an increase in the field of repair and maintenance of household electronic equipment after attending training activities where the increase occurred at very high levels (average total = 83.32). Thus, it can be concluded that the reparation training program and maintenance of household electronic equipment is able to increase the lifeskill of the community in Kenagarian Kapau Alam Pauh Duo in the field of repair and maintenance of household electronic equipment.
This study aims to determine the Effect of Family Social Support and Creativity on Entrepreneurial Interest in Electrical Engineering Education Study Program Students During the Covid-19 Pandemic. This research method uses a quantitative approach, meaning that all information or data is realized in numbers and the analysis is based on statistical analysis. The type of research used is causal associative research. The research instrument uses a questionnaire that has been validated by entrepreneurship lecturers and is tested before the questionnaire is distributed to students of Electrical Engineering Education, after testing the questionnaire is tested for validity and reliability. Assessment of research instruments using a Likert scale. Data analysis in this study used multiple linear regression to test the hypothesis using the T-test (t-test) and F test. The T-test was used to determine the partial effect of the independent variable on the dependent variable. The F test is used to determine the simultaneous effect of the independent variable on the dependent variable. The results showed that (1) family social support had no effect on interest in entrepreneurship (2) creativity had a positive and significant influence on interest in entrepreneurship (3) family social support and creativity had a positive and significant influence on interest in entrepreneurship.
Penggunaan media yang tepat dapat menjadi salah satu solusi dalam melengkapi strategi pembelajaran yang tepat, salah satu media yang cocok dalam era digitalisasi saat ini adalah modul e-learning, modul E-learning yang merupakan sumber belajar yang kekinian sesuai dengan perkembangan teknologi. Oleh karena itu, tujuan dari penelitian adalah untuk mengembangkan modul e-learning berbasis LMS sebagai media interaktif pada mata pelajaran simulasi dan komunikasi digital. Model pengembangan yang digunakan adalah pengembangan model 4-D (Four D Models), yang terdiri dari define, design, development dan disseminate. Sampel penelitian ini adalah 3 orang validator desain dan 3 orang validator materi. Sedangkan uji praktikalitas yaitu 3 orang guru dan 30 orang siswa SMKN 1 Lubuksikaping pada mata diklat Simulasi dan Komunikasi Digital Kelas X DPIB dan Untuk uji validitas dan praktikalitas menggunakan angket. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian didapatkan bahwa uji modul e-learning terbukti valid dan praktis untuk digunakan pada pembelajaran simulasi dan komunikasi digital, sehingga dapat. Disimpulkan bahwa modul e-learning ini dapat digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran pada pembelajaran simulasi dan komunikasi digital.
This research aims to find out the implementation of work attitudes based on the business world, the industry, and the world of work in the curriculum used by vocational high schools, where the work culture is a work attitude that prospective workers must own in entering the workforce. The realization of this work culture is seen from several indicators such as the application of work culture needed in schools, the existence of Links and Matches with the needs of the world of work, interpersonal skills owned by students, and intrapersonal abilities possessed by students who are realized in the 5R work culture (Concise, Neat, Resik, Care and Rajin) that apply to the school curriculum. The method used in this research is the Mixed Methode method, combining quantitative research and qualitative research. The study was conducted using instrument questionnaires and structured and open interviews involving respondents from educational institutions and the world of work under the auspices of the Indonesian Electrical and Mechanical Contractors Association. The data analysis technique used is the Milles and Huberman model Likert scale by looking at the percentage generated on the indicator of the competence of the world of work in the good category of 63.73%. But this must remain a thing that needs to be considered and maintained by vocational high schools to produce graduates of good character and a good working culture.
This study aims to analyze data on student obstacles in completing thesis during the Covid-19 pandemic with the research subject of Padang State University (UNP) students in the 2016/2017 Electrical Engineering Education Study Program. This type of research is descriptive research. Data collection was carried out using a questionnaire or questionnaire using a Likert scale, as for the tests carried out, validity tests, reliability tests, the results of data obtained from 45 statements distributed, the results showed that there were 3 invalid statements with a reliability level of 0.94 and very high category . The data analysis used is a descriptive statistical technique using the average value of the mean, the standard deviation value and to determine how large the data distribution is using a score category of 1 to 5. The results show that student constraints during the Covid-19 pandemic have different category levels in students. for each indicator, in the high category there are: difficulty in writing a thesis by 40 percent, lazy in doing thesis and 40 percent of campus facilities. The students' obstacles in the medium category were: miscommunication by as much, a minimal student network as large, the length of the lecturer's response as large and the lack of student motivation as large. The obstacle for students in the low category is the difficulty of finding data in the field of . It can be concluded that the obstacles experienced by students during the Covid-19 pandemic are different, each individual graduating on time is the desired achievement for every student, if these obstacles can be overcome it will increase graduates in a timely manner.
