One of the 21st century skills that students must possess is critical thinking skills. This research aims to determine critical thinking skills of students at SMPN 1 Kalipare topic of substances and its characteristics. This type of research is quantitative descriptive research. The research was conducted at SMPN 1 Kalipare. The research sample were 83 students of class VIII in 2018/2019 academic year and were assigned random sampling. The instrument used was 15 multiple choice test questions of critical thinking skills. Data analysis was performed with quantitative percentage analysis. The distribution of students critical thinking skills of class VIII at SMPN1 Kalipare who have very high critical thinking skills are 6 students (7,23%), high critical thinking skills are 7 students (8,43%), medium critical thinking skills are 17 students (20,48%), low critical thinking skills are 20 students (24,10%), and very low critical thinking skills are 33 students (39,76%). The results showed the students critical thinking skills of class VIII at SMPN 1 Kalipare about substances and its characteristics included in the low category with a percentage of 47,85%. indicator of critical thinking with the lowest category is reveal the reason with a percentage of 36,90%.
Di Kabupaten Malang terdapat objek wisata yang memanfaatkan sumber daya air, wisata tersebut adalah Sumber Maron.Sumber Maron merupakan salah satu objek wisata alam yang tepatnya berada di Dusun Adiluwih, Desa Karangsuko, Kecamatan Pagelaran, Kabupaten Malang.Perkembangan pariwisata Sumber Maron dapat dikatakan sangat meningkat, hal ini dapat dilihat dari jumlah penunjung yang semakin banyak setiap harinya. Namun,dalam pengelolaannya Sumber Maron kurang memperhatikan dampak pembangunanya terhadap lingkungan. Sehingga dalam penelitian ini, penulis ingin mengkaji mengenai dinamika kapitalisme di Sumber Maron.Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian kualitatif deskriptif yang berusaha mendeskripsikan dan menginterpretasikan apa yang terjadi. Pengelolaan pariwisata memiliki dampak positif dan juga negative yaitu rusaknya lingkungan sekitar pariwisata akibat kapitalisasi yang terjadi di sector pariwisata tersebut. Tindakan kapitalisasi yang dilakukan adalah pengalihan fungsi lahan pertanian menjadi warung permanen untuk memenuhi kebutuhan wisatawan.
Pembelajaran IPA bertujuan mengembangkan kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi untuk diterapkan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan instrumen tes two-tier multiple choice untuk mengukur kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi materi suhu dan kalor yang valid dan reliabel untuk peserta didik SMP. Penelitian ini didasarkan pada model Borg & Gall yang telah dimodifikasi (dilakukan hingga langkah ke tujuh) untuk mengembangkan instrumen tes. Penelitian ini dilakukan di SMP Negeri 1 Kalidawir, Tulungagung. Hasil uji coba produk diperoleh 22 soal yang valid dengan reliabilitas sebesar 0,672 yang termasuk dalam kategori tinggi. Dengan demikian, instrumen tes hasil pengembangan dinyatakan valid dan reliabel untuk mengukur kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi peserta didik SMP pada materi suhu dan kalor.
Critical thinking skills and technology literacy are still slightly for students. It happens because the learning process has not focused on improving critical thinking skills and technology literacy. Learning has implemented the activities that including indicators of critical thinking skills, however the implementation has not been properly as students do not emphasis on learning meanwhile learning which links technology literacy has not been developed yet. The integrated STS IPA learning device of local potential of kacang shanghai (shanghai bean) can facilitate students to improve critical thinking skills and technology literacy. It raises the problems which are close to students so that they are more interested in taking part of learning.
