This research was conducted to: (1) improve the science domain based learning tool which is integrated with appropriate local wisdom for Science learning material "Object Change Around Us" for students grade VII of Junior High School, (2) know the effectiveness of science based learning tool which is integrated with developed local wisdom to improve science process skill and scientific attitude of students grade VII of Junior High School. This research was a research and development which adapt 4D Thiagarajan model which include four steps, they were: (1) define, (2) design, (3) develop, and (4) disseminate and Borg & Gall development model which was done into 7 steps, they were: (1) research and information collecting, (2) planning, (3) developing preliminarry form of product, (4) preliminary field testing, (5) main product revision, (6) main field testing, and (7) operational product revision. The research result showed that the science domain based learning tool which was integrated with developed local wisdom were: (1) appropriate to be used for science learning material "Object Change around us" for students grade VII of JHS, (2) effective to improve science process skill and scientific attitude of students grade VII of JHS.
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) mendeskripsikan karakteristik lembar kerja peserta didik (LKPD) inkuiri terbimbing; (2) mengetahui kriteria kelayakan LKPD inkuiri terbimbing; (3) mengetahui peningkatan keterampilan berpikir kritis dengan menggunakan LKPD yang dikembangkan, dan (4) mengetahui hasil belajar peserta didik dengan menggunakan LKPD yang dikembangkan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode research and development (R&D). Desain uji coba produk utama menggunakan LKPD inkuiri terbimbing pada kelas VIIA sebagai kelas eksperimen dan LKPD dari pendidik pada kelas VIIB sebagai kelas kontrol. Pengumpulan data menggunakan lembar observasi, angket, dan tes tertulis. Hasil penelitian ini berupa LKPD inkuiri terbimbing yang memiliki kategori sangat baik. Hasil pengembangan dan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) karakteristik LKPD berbasis inkuiri terbimbing meliputi tahapan membuat prediksi, melakukan penyelidikan, mengumpulkan data, menginterpretasi data, dan mengembangkan kesimpulan; (2) kriteria kelayakan LKPD inkuiri terbimbing layak digunakan dalam pembelajaran IPA; (3) terjadi peningkatan keterampilan berpikir kritis peserta didik dengan total rerata gain score 0,43; dan (4) terjadi peningkatan hasil belajar peserta didik dengan total rerata gain score 0,34. Developing students worksheet on guided inquiry to improve critical thinking skills and learning outcomes of students AbstractThis study aims to: (1) explain the characteristics of student worksheet on guided inquiry; (2) determine the feasibility criteria of student worksheet developed; (3) determine the increase critical thinking skills using a student worksheet developed; and (4) determine learning outcomes of students using the student worksheet developed. This study was research and development (R & D) which adapted the model by Borg & Gall. The design of the main field testing used a student worksheet on guided inquiry in class VIIA as an experimental class and student of class VIIB as the control class. The data were collected using observation sheets, questionnaires, and written tests. The results of this study is in the form of a student worksheet on guided inquiry whicht has very good category. Results of the development and research show that (1) the characteristics of student worksheet based on the guided inquiry covering the steps to make predictions, conduct experiments, collecting data, interpretation data, and develop conclusions; (2) The feasibility criteria of the student worksheet on guided inquiry deserves used in science teaching; (3) There is an increase in critical thinking skills of students with a total mean gain score of 0.43; and (4) There is an increase in learning outcomes of students with a total mean gain score of 0.34.
Abstrak: Penelitian bertujuan mengetahui: (1) kelayakan perangkat pembelajaran IPA berbasis projectbased learning, (2) pengaruh penerapan perangkat pembelajaran IPA berbasis project-based learning terhadap keterbekalan digital/ICT literacy, (3) penerapan perangkat pembelajaran IPA berbasis projectbased learning terhadap scientific literacy peserta didik SMP. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian dan pengembangan dengan menggunakan model Borg & Gall dengan prosedur (1) studi pendahuluan, (2) desain produk, (3) validasi, (4) ujicoba dan revisi produk hingga menghasilkan produk akhir. Pengumpulan data dengan teknik observasi, angket, dan tes, sedang analisis data dengan teknik statistik deskriptif. Hasil penelitian ini adalah kelayakan perangkat pembelajaran IPA berbasis project-based learning yang dihasilkan memperoleh kriteria baik sekali. Keterbekalan foundational knowledge khusus digital/ICT literacy sebesar 98,29%. Kriteria baik sekali diperoleh untuk peningkatan scientific literacy pesertadidik setelah mengikuti pembelajaran menggunakan perangkat pembelajaran IPA berbasis project-based learning dengangain score sebesar 15,37. Hasil uji independent-sample t test menunjukkan bahwa perangkat pembelajaran berbasis project-based learning memberikan pengaruh signifikan terhadap scientific literacy peserta didik. It adopted research and development (R&D) design developed by Borg & Gall consisting of (1) preliminary study, (2) product design, (3) validation, and (4) tryout and revision, until the final product was fully developed. Data were collected through observation, questionnaires, and test, then analysed using descriptive statistics method. The results show that the kit can be considered as very good. The provision of foundational knowledge in particular digital/ICT literacy is as much as 98.29%. The scientific literacy can be categorized "very good". This is the result of students' involvement in the teaching activities implementing the project-based science teaching kit (the score is 15.37). <p class="E-JOURNALTitle">Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan bahan ajar dan instrumen penilaian IPA tema “Indahnya Negeriku” buku guru dan buku siswa kelas 4 Kurikulum 2013 yang layak dan efektif. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian dan pengembangan. terdiri atas sembilan tahap, yaitu: (1) studi pendahuluan ,(2) perencanaan,(3) pengembangan produk awal, (4) uji coba awal, (5) revisi untuk menyusun produk utama, (6) uji coba lapangan,(7) revisi untuk menyempurnakan produk hasil uji coba lapangan,(8) uji pelaksanaan lapangan, dan (9) revisi produk final. Hasil penelitian sebagai berikut. (1) Kelayakan penilaian ahli materi belajar IPA dengan kriteria Sangat Baik, uji coba terbatas dengan kriteria Sangat Baik dan uji coba pelaksanaan lapangan dengan kriteria Sangat Baik, hasil penilaian ahli Instrumen Penilaian IPA dengan kriteria Baik, uji coba terbatas dengan kriteria Sangat Baik dan uji coba pelaksanaan lapangan dengan kriteria Sangat Baik. This was a research and development (R & D) study consisting of nine stages, namely: (1) preliminary studies, (2) planning, (3) early product develop-ment, (4) early trials, (5) revision to draft the main product, (6) field tryout (7) revisions to enhance the results of field trials of products, (8) field impelementation testing and (9) revision of the final product.The results show (1) It is shown on the assessment of the feasibility study materials science experts which obtained an average value of 4.44 with the criteria Very Good, limited trial gained an average value of 4.53 with the criteria Very Good and piloted the field obtained average values 4.80 with criteria Very Good, whereas the results of expert assessment of Science assessment of instruments obtained an average value of 3.92 with the criteria Good, limited trial gained an average value of 4.33 with the criteria Very Good and piloted the field with an average value 5 with the criteria Very Good. The development of life in the 21st century requires a variety of skills that one must master. Physics learning in schools has a central role in providing 21st-century skills to students. Physics learning is an integrated field that facilitates 21st-century skills and much research is being done in this field. The purpose of this research is to provide a review or general overview related to 21st-century skills-based physics learning research (Communication, Collaboration, Critical Thinking, and Problem Solving, and Creativity and Innovation) in Indonesia. This type of research is a literature study. The articles analyzed are articles published in Sinta-accredited national journals with publication years ranging from 2015-2020 and Scopus indexed international journals, as well as journal research fields focusing on evaluation and learning physics. The number of articles analyzed was 300 articles from national and international journals. From 2015 to 2020, critical thinking skills were the most researched topic with a percentage of 12% and 27% of researchers did not mention the physics topic studied in their research. A lot of learning research, especially physics learning, focuses on a quantitative approach in solving problems in the field of physics education in this case related to 21st-century skills. Most of the 4C skills-based physics learning research uses a relatively small sample of under 100 samples with the majority of the research locations being found mostly focused on Bali-Nusra and Java. The research subjects most frequently researched regarding 21st-century skills are high school level (SMA/SMK/MA).
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kelayakan dan keefektifan web-Lembar Kerja Peserta Didik (LKPD) IPA terintegrasi potensi lokal pabrik gula. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan menggunakan model pengembangan 4D dengan tahap define, design, develop, dan disseminate. Penelitian ini menggunakan pretest posttest control group design. Penilaian kelayakan web-LKPD IPA dilakukan oleh ahli materi dan ahli media untuk mengetahui kelayakan produk, penilaian kepraktisan oleh guru IPA, serta respon peserta didik untuk mengetahui keterbacaan produk. Hasil penilaian kelayakan oleh ahli materi, media, guru IPA memperoleh skor sebesar 62, 38, dan 56 terhadap skor maksimal masing-masing sebesar 48, 35, dan 45 sehingga tergolong pada kategori sangat baik. Uji keterbacaan memperoleh persentase sebesar 93% respon positif dari peserta didik. Hasil skor gain ternormalisasi mendapat skor sebesar 0.36 pada kelas eksperimen dan tergolong pada kategori sedang dan terdapat peningkatan dalam pembelajaran. Efektivitas pembelajaran dilakukan dengan uji independent sample t test dengan nilai sig. sebesar 0.000 (> 0.05). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran dengan web-LKPD IPA terintegrasi potensi lokal efektif (sig. 0.00 < 0.05) meningkatkan rasa ingin tahu peserta didik SMP Negeri 1 Jombang. Integrated worksheet web of nature history students on the local potentials of “pabrik gula” for increasing the students' curiosity AbstractThis study aims to determine the feasibility and effectiveness of the science web student worksheet integrated local potency “pabrik gula”. This research is a development research using the 4D development model with the stages of define, design, develop, and disseminate. Assessment of the feasibility of science web student worksheet is carried out by material expert and media expert, the assessment by science teachers, and the responses of students to know the readability of the product. The results of the feasibility assessment by material, media expert, and science teachers scored 62, 38, and 56 for a maximum score of 48, 35, and 45 which were categorized as very good. Readability test obtained a percentage of 93% positive response from students. The normalized gain score results in a score of 0.36 in the experimental class and belongs to the medium category and there is an increase in learning. The effectiveness of learning is done by testing the independent sample t test with the sig .value amounting to 0,00 (more than 0.05). The results showed that learning with science web student worksheet integrated with local potency effective to enhance curiosity of Jombang Middle School 1 students.
Renewable energy sources in Indonesia, such as hydropower, are very abundant. However, the utilization of these sources as alternative energy in Indonesia has not been optimized. Education for Environmental Sustainable Development (EESD) approach could be implemented in science education to give students valuable insights into the environment. The form of teaching materials for EESD is the student worksheet. The objective of this study was to analyze the effectiveness of learning using EESD-based student worksheets to improve environmental literacy. This study belonged to the quasi-experiment, and the sample was taken using a cluster sampling technique class. The findings of this research showed that the mean score of the experimental class was greater than the control class, and there was a remarkable difference in environmental literacy between the experimental and control class. Therefore, we could conclude that EESD-based student worksheets are useful to improve students' environmental literacy.
AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan SSP berbasis keunggulan lokal yang layak dipergunakan dalam meningkatkan literasi sains dan kepedulian lingkungan siswa MTs. Penelitian pengembangan ini menggunakan metode Borg & Gall. Subjek uji coba lapangan terdiri atas 50 orang siswa kelas VII MTs Manbaul Ulum. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan, bahwa SSP yang telah dikembangkan layak dipergunakan, berdasarkan hasil penilaian validator "sangat baik" dan berdasarkan hasil uji beda antara kelas kontrol dan eksperimen yang menunjukkan adanya perbedaan rata-rata nilai literasi sains antara dua kelas tersebut yaitu terdapat peningkatan literasi sains siswa menggunakan SSP berbasis kearifan lokal yang dikembangkan.
