Abstract:The purpose of this research was to analyze the effect of individual factors, enviromental factors, entrepreneurial behavior on business performance of cassava SMEs agroindustry in Padang. This research was conducted in January-March 2017, and the number of respondents was 53 entrepreneurs. The analysis method used was quantitative analysis using Partial Least Square (PLS) version 2.0. The results showed individual factors have positive and significant effect on entrepreneurial behavior with the influence coefficient 0.430. The most dominant individual factor that reflected entrepreneurial behavior was the experience with the load factor (λ) 0.877. Environmental factors have a positive and significant effect on individual factors with the influence coefficient 0.478. Environmental factors have a positive and significant effect on entrepreneurial behavior with the influence coefficient 0.405. The most dominant environmental factor that affected entrepreneurial behavior was training with the load factor (λ) 0.840. The entrepreneurial behavior factor has a positive and significant effect on business performance with influence coefficient 0.575. The most dominant entrepreneurial behavior that influenced the business performance was the innovativeness with the load factor (λ) 0.774. Keywords
Community empowerment and positive image are desired of the company’sCSR program. The purpose of this study was to analyze ( 1 ) the implementation ofcompany’s CSR communication PTPN V for community empowerment and building apositive image. ( 2 ) relationship among communication company’s CSR PTPN V withcommunity empowerment and corporate image. Research using quantitative and surveytechniques . The population in this study as many as 418 people . The sample in this studyas many as 250 people. Sampling in this study conducted proportional sampling . Theconclusions of this study is the implementation of CSR communication within the companyPTPN V for community empowerment and build a positive image is generally going well.Furthermore, there are very significant (p < 0.01) relationship among communicators,messages, channels with community empowerment and corporate image.
Indonesia need to strengthen the national economy to face the AEC (ASEAN Economic Community) in the end of 2015 by growing Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) which has entrepreneurial characteristics. Currently there is an increasing activity of women in SMEs. This research aimed at identifying and analyzing the forming factors of women’s entrepreneurial activities that contribute to grow new enterprise on processed potato business.This study is located in Kerinci regency because there were increased entrepreneurial activity by women. Primary data were collected through questionnaire to 111 women entrepreneurs of potato processing by the sampling “census” technique, and the data were analyzed by Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). The exogenous latent variables were entrepreneurial characteristics, personal characteristics, opportunity, and resources. Where as women’s entrepreneurial activities and grow new enterprise as endogenous latent variables. The results showed that the built model had goodness fit and good reliability measurement variables (CR≥0.70, VE≥0.50). Women entrepreneurial activities were reflected the most by resources (γ=0.66) and entrepreneurial characteristics (γ=0.59). Entrepreneurial characteristics of women entrepreneur were formed by motivation (λ= 0.54), risk taking (λ= 0.32), and innovation (λ= 0.95). Thus women who processing potatoes in Kerinci regency have the entrepreneurial character. Women’s entrepreneurial activities positively proved contribute to grow new enterprise on processed potato business (β=0.95). Facilitating new venture program, strengthening of capital program, and business training to women entrepreneurs should be a priority of the Indonesian government programs in the future to compete in the AEC (ASEAN Economic Community).
Indonesia is a country that has a long coastline and the development of fisheries and marine sector. Utilization of marine resources is accompanied by the use of capture fisheries to produce processed products. One of processed fishery product is fish shredded with the central area of Makassar City. Production inputs that have fluctuating prices are the primary cause of business performance disruption. The study was conducted in Makassar with 40 respondents of UMKM. Data analysis performed is to analyze the relationship between business performance with entrepreneurship orientation using Spearman analysis. The findings indicate that the majority of entrepreneurial orientations are significantly related to business performance. Keinovativan is related to the overall variable of business performance, proactive and dares to take risks related to company growth and Customer Satisfaction. Aggressiveness is related to company growth and competitive advantage. While the autonomy is not related to business performance
<em>This study was aimed to analyze the added value in the supply chain of forest honey at Jaringan Madu Hutan Sumbawa (JMHS) organization. The respondents in this study are 30 honey hunter, 2 group leader, 2 JMHS cooperative and 1 marketing outlet Rumah Madu. Quantative descriptive analysis method was used to analyze the added value by using Hayami’s method (1987). The results from this study were the added value of forest honey from Madu Hutan Lestari cooperation is 0.5 persen highest than other chain actors. While the value added distribution of marketing outlets Rumah Madu has been the highest percentage of added value compared to other chain actors.</em>
The aim of the research was to analyze the relationship between the social capital and innovation performance of agribusiness in Regency Bogor. The sample of the research was set as purposive sampling. There were 38 respondents involved from the nine districts. By the criteria, the entrepreneurs are also the owners of the agribusiness MSMEs and have been running their company for two years minimally. The data were analyzed by Sequal Equation Modeling Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS) method with SMART PLS 3.2.4. Based on the results, the majority of agribusiness MSMEs in Bogor Regency produce local and traditional products and have 1 to 5 employees. They earn money less than 100 million rupiahs annually, and most of them are categorized as the entrepreneurs of the micro and small enterprises. Social norm gives influence on innovation performance significantly, and it is reflected by providing aid to each other, having access to aids and willingness to share any information. The entrepreneurs of the agribusiness MSMEs possessing social norm will increase their innovation performance. Willingness to provide aid is the indicator to contribute significantly to social norm. Social network also gives effects significantly on innovation performance. Social network is reflected by network size, multiplexity and network constraints. The larger the network size, the wider important information related to the enterprises; therefore, it will increase opportunity to innovate. The height of multiplexity and network constraints will reduce the chance to innovate. Multiplexity is the highest indicator contributing to social network whereas trust variable does not give contribution significantly to innovation performance of the agribusiness MSMEs.
The success of agriculture cannot be separated from several things, one of which is financing. Credit is a financing mechanism that has a role as the formation of farmers' capital to support increased food production, especially rice. This study aims to analyze the effect of credit on the technical efficiency of lowland rice farming. Data collection used primary data and secondary data. Primary data were obtained from interviews with respondent farmers consists of 36 credit users and 66 non-credit users, the sample selection was carried out randomly. The results of the analysis that using the stochastic frontier analysis method on the Cobb-Douglas production function indicated that credit farmers were more efficient than farmers who do not use credit. The average level of technical efficiency for credit farmers was 0,93, while farmers who did not use credit were 0,87. Based on the results of the research, by using credit there was an opportunity for farmers to fulfill the supply of production inputs needed in order to increase their production, because the technical efficiency is higher than the farmers who do not use credit.
Customer satisfaction is the most important factors that affect the development market of RTD-ready to drink tea industry. Recently, consumer facing several product of ready to drink tea in the middle of tea industry competition, and Teh Kotak Ultrajaya was the pioneer of ready to drink tea in a box. The primary goal of this research is to analyze customer’s attitude of the brand meaning and consistency, secondary goal is to analyze the customer satisfaction toward Teh Kotak Ultrajaya as one of the ready to drink tea product. The research conducted in two countries, Indonesia and Thailand used qualitative and quantitative methods. Fishbein analysis was conducted to measure consumer’s attitude. Customer satisfaction analyzed using the customer satisfaction index (CSI) and importance and performance analysis (IPA). The finding shows that brand meaning and concistency of tea product represented by the unique taste of the tea, satisfaction feeling after consumed it, comfortable with Indonesian brand, and positive experience while in abroad. The result also shows that customers like Teh Kotak Ultrajaya in Thailand better than in Indonesia based on Fishbein score 15,13 in Thailand and 13,80 in Indonesia. Customer satisfaction index (CSI) was also increased from 78,67 percent to 81,67 percent, from satisfied into very satisfied, and there are no atributes in main priority performance to be improved based on IPA yet still has to maintain all of the good atributes on it.
