Abstract:The purpose of this research was to analyze the effect of individual factors, enviromental factors, entrepreneurial behavior on business performance of cassava SMEs agroindustry in Padang. This research was conducted in January-March 2017, and the number of respondents was 53 entrepreneurs. The analysis method used was quantitative analysis using Partial Least Square (PLS) version 2.0. The results showed individual factors have positive and significant effect on entrepreneurial behavior with the influence coefficient 0.430. The most dominant individual factor that reflected entrepreneurial behavior was the experience with the load factor (λ) 0.877. Environmental factors have a positive and significant effect on individual factors with the influence coefficient 0.478. Environmental factors have a positive and significant effect on entrepreneurial behavior with the influence coefficient 0.405. The most dominant environmental factor that affected entrepreneurial behavior was training with the load factor (λ) 0.840. The entrepreneurial behavior factor has a positive and significant effect on business performance with influence coefficient 0.575. The most dominant entrepreneurial behavior that influenced the business performance was the innovativeness with the load factor (λ) 0.774. Keywords
Community empowerment and positive image are desired of the company’sCSR program. The purpose of this study was to analyze ( 1 ) the implementation ofcompany’s CSR communication PTPN V for community empowerment and building apositive image. ( 2 ) relationship among communication company’s CSR PTPN V withcommunity empowerment and corporate image. Research using quantitative and surveytechniques . The population in this study as many as 418 people . The sample in this studyas many as 250 people. Sampling in this study conducted proportional sampling . Theconclusions of this study is the implementation of CSR communication within the companyPTPN V for community empowerment and build a positive image is generally going well.Furthermore, there are very significant (p < 0.01) relationship among communicators,messages, channels with community empowerment and corporate image.
Indonesia need to strengthen the national economy to face the AEC (ASEAN Economic Community) in the end of 2015 by growing Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) which has entrepreneurial characteristics. Currently there is an increasing activity of women in SMEs. This research aimed at identifying and analyzing the forming factors of women’s entrepreneurial activities that contribute to grow new enterprise on processed potato business.This study is located in Kerinci regency because there were increased entrepreneurial activity by women. Primary data were collected through questionnaire to 111 women entrepreneurs of potato processing by the sampling “census” technique, and the data were analyzed by Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). The exogenous latent variables were entrepreneurial characteristics, personal characteristics, opportunity, and resources. Where as women’s entrepreneurial activities and grow new enterprise as endogenous latent variables. The results showed that the built model had goodness fit and good reliability measurement variables (CR≥0.70, VE≥0.50). Women entrepreneurial activities were reflected the most by resources (γ=0.66) and entrepreneurial characteristics (γ=0.59). Entrepreneurial characteristics of women entrepreneur were formed by motivation (λ= 0.54), risk taking (λ= 0.32), and innovation (λ= 0.95). Thus women who processing potatoes in Kerinci regency have the entrepreneurial character. Women’s entrepreneurial activities positively proved contribute to grow new enterprise on processed potato business (β=0.95). Facilitating new venture program, strengthening of capital program, and business training to women entrepreneurs should be a priority of the Indonesian government programs in the future to compete in the AEC (ASEAN Economic Community).
Indonesia is a country that has a long coastline and the development of fisheries and marine sector. Utilization of marine resources is accompanied by the use of capture fisheries to produce processed products. One of processed fishery product is fish shredded with the central area of Makassar City. Production inputs that have fluctuating prices are the primary cause of business performance disruption. The study was conducted in Makassar with 40 respondents of UMKM. Data analysis performed is to analyze the relationship between business performance with entrepreneurship orientation using Spearman analysis. The findings indicate that the majority of entrepreneurial orientations are significantly related to business performance. Keinovativan is related to the overall variable of business performance, proactive and dares to take risks related to company growth and Customer Satisfaction. Aggressiveness is related to company growth and competitive advantage. While the autonomy is not related to business performance
<em>This study was aimed to analyze the added value in the supply chain of forest honey at Jaringan Madu Hutan Sumbawa (JMHS) organization. The respondents in this study are 30 honey hunter, 2 group leader, 2 JMHS cooperative and 1 marketing outlet Rumah Madu. Quantative descriptive analysis method was used to analyze the added value by using Hayami’s method (1987). The results from this study were the added value of forest honey from Madu Hutan Lestari cooperation is 0.5 persen highest than other chain actors. While the value added distribution of marketing outlets Rumah Madu has been the highest percentage of added value compared to other chain actors.</em>
