The agricultural extension worker's performance is the work outputs achieved by agricultural extension workers in conducting their jobs. AbstrakTujuan penelitian adalah: (1) mengidentifikasi pengaruh faktor-faktor yang berpengaruh pada kinerja penyuluh pertanian, (2) menjelaskan hubungan faktor-faktor yang berpengaruh pada kinerja penyuluh pertanian dan (3) menjelaskan dampak kinerja penyuluh pertanian dan kompetensi ketua kelompok tani pada kompetensi petani kakao di empat wilayah Sulawesi Selatan. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di empat wilayah Sulawesi Selatan yaitu Kota Palopo, Kabupaten Luwu, Luwu Utara dan Luwu Timur. Pertimbangan empat wilayah ini dijadikan lokasi penelitian karena merupakan representasi wilayah penghasil kakao terbesar di Sulawesi Selatan. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh penyuluh pertanian di empat wilayah tersebut yaitu berjumlah 447 orang dan petani kakao binaan penyuluh yang terdiri dari ketua kelompok tani dan anggota kelompok tani. Sampel dihitung menggunakan metode Slovin, yakni sebanyak 106 penyuluh pertanian, 106 ketua kelompok tani dan 212 petani kakao. Pengumpulan data melalui survei menggunakan kuisioner. Analisis data menggunakan Structural Equation Model (SEM) dengan program Linear Structural Relationship (LISREL). Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa faktor-faktor internal yang berpengaruh pada kinerja penyuluh pertanian adalah kompetensi, motivasi dan kemandirian. PurposeThis research aims to develop and test a model of digital health communication media (DHCM) use for healthy food information – DHCM usage – during the Covid-19 pandemic. More specifically, this research investigated the simultaneous effects of perceived threat of Covid-19, e-health literacy, attitude toward DHCM usage, knowledge toward DHCM usage, facilitating conditions and information quality on the DHCM usage.Design/methodology/approachThe empirical data were collected through a survey. The respondents of the survey are 192 DHCM users who lived in Tangerang Regency. Structural equation modelling (SEM) analysis was performed.FindingsThe DHCM usage during the Covid-19 pandemic is significantly affected by the attitude towards the DHCM usage and the facilitating conditions. However, the DHCM usage during the Covid-19 pandemic is not significantly affected by the perceived threat of Covid-19, e-health literacy, information quality and knowledge of the DHCM usage.Research limitations/implicationsThis research was conducted only in Tangerang Regency and employed a purposive sampling technique. Future research should be conducted in other contexts to examine the stability of the research findings.Practical implicationsIn order to improve DHCM usage for healthy food information, it is important for building a positive attitude towards DHCM usage and ensuring the availability of the facilitating conditions.Originality/valueThis paper is the first that develops and tests a model of DHCM usage for healthy food information during the Covid-19 pandemic.
PurposeDuring Covid-19 pandemic, Millennials, which are familiar with the Internet, may contribute in facing the pandemic by consistently sharing healthy food information. Thus, it is important to improve Millennials online healthy food information-sharing behaviour during the Covid-19 pandemic. This research aims to examine the simultaneous effects of e-health literacy, knowledge of the digital health communication media (DHCM) use, facilitating conditions, information quality and source credibility on Millennials' online healthy food information-sharing behaviour during the Covid-19 pandemic.Design/methodology/approachA survey was performed to collect the data. The respondents of the survey are 205 DHCM millennial users who lived in Tangerang Regency and Tangerang City, Indonesia. This research performed a multiple regression analysis to test the conceptual model and proposed hypotheses.FindingsMillennials' online healthy food information-sharing behaviour during the Covid-19 pandemic was significantly affected by perceived threat of Covid-19, knowledge of the DHCM use and the facilitating conditions. However, it was not significantly affected by e-health literacy, information quality and source credibility.Research limitations/implicationsThis research employed a purposive sampling technique. This research also was conducted only in Tangerang Regency and Tangerang City, Indonesia. In order to test the stability of the research findings, future research should be conducted in other contexts.Practical implicationsIn order to improve Millennials' online healthy food information-sharing behaviour during the Covid-19 pandemic, it was essential to educate Millennials on the importance of healthy food consumption during the Covid-19 pandemic and their relationships. However, there is lack of study that specifically focused on Millennials' online healthy food information-sharing behaviour during the Covid-19 pandemic. This paper is the first that develops and tests a model of Millennials' online healthy food information-sharing behaviour during the Covid-19 pandemic. The model can be used to understand the behaviour and develop intervention strategy.
<p>Perkembangan peternakan di Indonesia secara umum masih memprihatinkan. Sebagian besar produksi daging sapi di Indonesia hampir seluruhnya diperoleh dari peternakan rakyat (78%), sisanya dari impor. Pola pemeliharaan ternak di Indonesia didominasi oleh usaha peternakan berskala kecil, dengan rata-rata kepemilikan ternak rendah, ternak dijadikan sebagai tabungan hidup, ternak dipelihara dalam pemukiman padat penduduk, usaha ternak dilakukan secara turun temurun. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah 1) Mendeskripsikan karakteristik, gaya kepemimpinan, perilaku komunikasi, dan kapasitas kelembagaan GPPT. 2) Menganalisis hubungan antara gaya kepemimpinan dengan kapasitas kelembagaan SPR. 3) Menganalisis hubungan antara perilaku komunikasi dengan kapasitas kelembagaan SPR. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif. Data dianalisis menggunakan <em>rank</em> Spearman. One of attempt to support food needs is utilizing gardening that are environmental friendly and based on local resources. Optimizing gardening through women farmers group can be a huge potential in sustainability gardening. Therefore the role of women farm leaders is essential to direct their members toward this purpose. The objective of research was to analyze the influence of women farm leaders in gardening utilization. This research was conducted in Bogor through a survey method. Number of respondents was 75 people with a proportional simple random sampling technique. The data was collected in February to April 2014 and was analyzed using regression model. The result showed that gardening utilization sustainability was still similar with Food Consumption Acceleration Movement (P2KP) program, as seen from the types and number of plants. The role of women farm leaders that affect gardening utilization sustainability were motivators, and problem solvers. Groups leaders involvement in the utilization gardening can affect group members to maintain activities gardening post P2KP program. The role of groups leaders can be increased through extension activities, the use of communication media, and interact with other sources of information.
