There are many different multi-criteria decision making methods in the literature. These methods, which enable criteria with different measurement units to be examined together, allow choosing between alternatives. However, different methods can produce different results depending on the data set. The aim of this study is to combine the results obtained by applying different methods to the data set with the Copeland method. To this end, a problem with real data was first addressed. Technical data of motorcycle alternatives that can be preferred for individual needs were collected in terms of different criteria. The weights of these criteria were found by the PIPRECIA method. Six different multi-criteria decision making methods were used to evaluate motorcycle alternatives. These methods are MOPA, MOOSRA, COPRAS, SAW, WPM and ROV. The sequencing results obtained from these methods were combined with the Copeland method and the results were discussed.
Selecting the right truck tractor is critical for logistics companies involved in road freight transportation. Determining the criteria that are effective in the selection of truck tractors and then evaluating the alternatives are the main objectives of this study. In this context, a hybrid Multi-Criteria Decision-Making model composed of Fuzzy PIPRECIA (F-PIPRECIA) and Fuzzy COPRAS (F-COPRAS) methods is proposed to be used in the selection of truck tractors. In the related literature, no studies that applied F-PIPRECIA and F-COPRAS together to determine the best truck tractor have been published yet. In this regard, this study is thought to contribute to the literature in terms of the methods used and the application of truck tractor selection. Moreover, the findings of this study will pave the way for those who conduct academic studies and the authorities of companies involved in road transport in the logistics sector.
The aim of this study is to determine the criteria used in the evaluation of renewable energy resources with the extremely high strategic importance that Turkey has and to find their degree of importance. For this purpose, an application has been made to find which criteria come to the fore and the weights of these criteria in order to evaluate Turkey's renewable energy resources. Five main criteria (technical, economic, environmental, social, and political) and a total of 22 sub-criteria related to these criteria were included in the scope of the study. Fuzzy SWARA method, one of the multi-criteria decision-making methods, has been used in the study. According to the results of the analysis, the most important criterion among the main criteria was “environmental criteria.” As a result, it has shown the importance of the priority criteria for Turkey and environmental evaluation criteria, which are important for the common future of humanity in parallel with the results in the world.
