Short stories have the advantage of teaching materials. Because of its short form, it is flexible to be used as teaching materials that do not take long to read. This study aims to describe the teachers’ perception of the urgency of integrating tolerance education in the short story appreciation, the content of tolerance values in the short story appreciation learning instruments in high school, and the content of tolerance values in the short story appreciation teaching materials in textbooks. In order to achieve that, a descriptive qualitative method was employed in this study. The results are as follows. (1) All Indonesian teachers in senior high schools in Surakarta have the perception that the value of tolerance education is important to be integrated into learning, including in the short story appreciation learning. (2) The character of tolerance is always listed in the Syllabus document and the Core Competency component of the lesson plan. Apart from that component, the character of tolerance is implicitly included in the character of "caring" and "open to others' opinions" in 86% of the syllabus and lesson plans. (3) There are 9% of short story appreciation teaching materials that have tolerance education content. The potential for this tolerance content is found in a lot of teaching material topics in the form of learning activities and short stories. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan: (a) cara guru memilih cerita pendek yang diajarkan dalam pembelajaran sastra di SMA Surakarta, (b) alasan guru memilih cerita pendek dengan cara tersebut, dan (c) pertimbangan-pertimbangan guru dalam memilih cerpen. Tujuan ini dicapai dengan penelitian kualitatif deskriptif. Data berupa pernyataan guru tentang cara memilih cerpen dan alasannya. Sumber datanya adalah guru-guru bahasa Indonesia yang tergabung dalam Musyawarah Guru Mata Pelajaran Bahasa Indonesia SMA di Surakarta. Teknik sampling yang diterapkan adalah purposive sampling, yaitu dipilih berdasarkan variasi kondisi sekolah: negeri, swasta, umum, dan keagamaan. Teknik pengambilan data dengan angket. Teknik analisis data dengan teknik analisis interaktif. Hasil penelitian ini sebagai berikut. (1) Guru memilih cerita pendek dengan 3 cara yaitu: 78% guru memilih cerpen yang tercantum di dalam buku pelajaran, 11% guru memilih cerpen dari buku pelajaran dan menambah cerpen dari sumber lain, dan 11% memilih cerpen dari berbagai sumber dan sering mengesampingkan cerpen yang ada di buku pelajaran. (2) Alasan guru memilih cerita pendek dengan cara tersebut sebagai berikut; (a) Guru yang memilih cerpen dari buku pelajaran memiliki alasan: mudah didapatkan, semua siswa memiliki, lebih terprogram, biasanya sudah dibaca rumah sehingga KBM lebih mudah, lebih praktis, semua siswa sudah siap dengan cerpen yang diajarkan, dan merata untuk semua siswa, (b) Guru yang memilih cerpen dari buku pelajaran dan dari sumber lain memiliki alasan semua siswa telah mempunyai cerpen yang mempermudah proses pembelajaran dan dalam rangka memberi latihan untuk memperdalam pengetahuan siswa, guru memilih cerpen dari Koran, (c) Guru yang memilih cerpen dari berbagai sumber dan mengesampingkan cerpen yang dimuat di buku pelajaran memiliki alasan sebagai berikut: cerpen itu sangat banyak sehingga guru tidak bisa mengandalkan cerpen yang ada di buku pelajaran; bahan cerpen dalam buku pelajaran terbatas, padahal di luar kelas siswa berhadapan dengan dunia sastra yang begitu luas; perlu memberikan bacaan yang beragam; merupakan usaha membentengi siswa dari bacaan yang tidak mendidik, (3) Pertimbangan guru dalam memilih cerpen adalah: kepraktisan, isi cerita menarik, isi cerpen sesuai usia siswa, bebas dari pornograf dan SARA, mengandung nilai pendidikan, dan penanaman budi pekerti.
This study aims to (1) Describe short stories published in Indonesian textbooks for high school. (2) Describe the content of character education in short stories in Indonesian textbooks for high school. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. Data in this study are words, sentences and paragraphs in short stories in Indonesian textbooks for high school. Data sources in this study are Indonesian language textbooks for high schools which are still used in high school, both based on the 2006 curriculum and based on the 2013 curriculum. Data collection techniques used in this study are intensive reading and recording techniques. Data analysis techniques with heuristic and hermeunitic techniques. The results of this study are as follows. (1) The study found 18 lessons in Indonesian language studies, 3 books that did not include a pen, and 15 books included a pen. In 15 lessons found 27 short stories. (2) Short stories in sufficient learning have the potential for 12 educational values of religious character, responsibility, social scrutiny, love, honesty, hard work, tolerance, nationalism, water love, friendship, democracy, and curiosity. The most frequently occurring educational values of character are religious, responsibility, social scrutiny, and love.<div> </div>
ABSTRAKRanting Aisyiyah Ngadirejo Kartasura telah menyelenggarakan pembelajaran membaca Al-Qur’an bagi ibu-ibu jamaah pengajian. Sebelum pandemi ada 4 kelompok belajar yaitu kelompok Al-Hidayah, Al-Hidayah Klinggen, Al-Fadhilah, dan Pucangan. Namun, saat pandemi Covid-19 kelompok belajar ini berhenti. Survei terhadap peserta menunjukkan adanya ibu-ibu yang belum mahir membaca Al-Qur’an, maka pembelajaran perlu dilanjutkan. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk (1) meningkatkan partisipasi ibu-ibu anggota Aisyiyah Ngadirejo Kartasura dalam penyelengaraan kelompok belajar Al-Qur’an di masa pandemi dan (2) meningkatkan kemampuan membaca Al-Qur’an dengan benar dan lancar bagi ibu-ibu Aisyiyah Ngadirejo Kartasura. Solusi yang ditawarkan adalah pendampingan belajar membaca Al-Qur’an dalam kelompok-kelompok kecil dengan metode iqra. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan melalui 8 tahap, yaitu eksplorasi, analisis kebutuhan, penyusunan program, sosialisasi pendataan peserta, pembentukan kelompok belajar, pendampingan belajar, dan evaluasi. Kegiatan dilaksanakan selama 8 bulan sejak September 2020-April 2021. Hasil pengabdian ini adalah (1) Ditinjau dari kerjasama, program ini dapat mempererat kerjasama antara Universitas Muhamamdiyah Surakarta, PRA Ngadirejo, dan TPA Al-Hidayah. (2) Ditinjau dari proses penyelenggaraan kegiatan belajar Al-Qur’an ini telah berhasil menyelenggarakan 2 kelompok belajar yaitu Al-Fadhilah dan Al-Hidayah dengan protokol kesehatan. (3) Ditinjau dari peningkatan kemampuan peserta, program ini dapat meningkatkan kemampuan peserta dalam membaca Al-Qur’an, yakni meningkatnya jilid iqra dan surat Al-Qur’an yang dipelajari. Before the pandemic there were 4 study groups, namely the Al-Hidayah, Al-Hidayah Klinggen, Al-Fadhilah, and Pucangan groups. However, during the Covid-19 pandemic this study group stopped. The survey of participants showed that there were mothers who were not proficient at reading the Qur'an, so learning needed to be continued. This community service activity aims to (1) increase the participation of women members of Aisyiyah Ngadirejo Kartasura in organizing Al-Qur'an study groups during the pandemic and (2) improve the ability to read the Koran correctly and fluently for mothers. Aisyiyah Ngadirejo Kartasura. The solution offered is mentoring in learning to read the Qur'an in small groups using the iqra method. This activity was carried out through 8 stages, namely exploration, needs analysis, program preparation, socialization of participant data collection, formation of study groups, study assistance, and evaluation. The activity was carried out for 8 months from September 2020-April 2021. The results of this service were (1) In terms of collaboration, this program could strengthen cooperation between the Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta, PRA Ngadirejo, and TPA Al-Hidayah. (2) Judging from the process of organizing this Al-Qur'an learning activity, it has succeeded in organizing 2 study groups, namely Al-Fadhilah and Al-Hidayah with health protocols. (3) In terms of increasing the ability of participants, this program can improve the ability of participants in reading the Qur'an, namely increasing the volume of iqra and the letters of the Qur'an that are studied. The aims of service on social through the on air broadcast of RRI Surakarta were to: (1) improve the understanding of teachers of Bahasa Indonesia toward the Bahasa Indonesia learning program based on texts; (2) enrich the knowledge of the listeners, especially for the students in which the learning of bahasa Indonesia based on the curriculum 2013; (3) create the close work relation of institution between the Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta and the government instituion i.e. Radio of Indonesian Republic of Surakarta. The soacial service was conducted in RRI of Surakarta, in the form of lecturing in an on-air broadcast, based on the paper which had been prepared before. The on-air broadcast activities were conducted by the recording before broadcasted. The recording process used the facilities in RRI of Surakarta guided by workers of RRI of Surakarta, both the responsibility and the recording process. The activities were conducted by on-air broaadcast. Every time the on-air broadcast was conducted by the speaker in which the topics were varies but, they were still on one theme. The on-air broadcast theme on the next three month is “The Improvement of Understanding the Learning of Bahasa Indonesia based on Texts of the Curriculum 2013 through the guiding on-air broadcast of Bahasa Indonesia in RRI of Surakarta”. The six times on-air broadcast activities which planned for three months, could be conducted six times of the new on-air broadcast.
Blended learning is a compounding between conventional and online learning system. In this industrial revolution 4.0 era, the learning system is an inevitability. This present study aims to describe the utilization of online media in selecting short stories, the inclusion of online learning elements in the short story appreciation, and the utilization of online media in the teaching and learning of literature appreciation. This descriptive-qualitative research employs information about the learning of short stories appreciation as its data. The data sources are in the form of informants i.e. Indonesian Language teachers, documents of teaching preparation, and processes of teaching and learning in the high schools. This current research uses questionnaire, observation, and document analysis as its data collection technique, further, an interactive technique to analyse the data. The result shows that (a) only 11% of the high school teachers in Surakarta prefer to choose online media as their basis to obtain the short stories; (b) the majority of the documents of the teaching preparation cite the internet as the medium or the learning resource, but are not reflected in the study; (c) the online media is used by the teachers to download short stories and applications on YouTube.
Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengulas beberapa asumsi dari tenaga pendidik mengenai AKM dan UN. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian kualitatif. Data penelitian ini berupa hasil wawancara dari narasumber yang telah mengikuti AKM dan UN beserta contoh soal AKM dan UN. Metode yang digunakan berupa teknik simak, bebas, libas, catat. Selain itu, metode lain yang digunakan adalah metode agih. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pada soal AKM terbagi menjadi 2 yaitu literasi dan numerasi. Sedangkan pada UN soal yang disajikan sesuai mata pelajaran. Peserta AKM adalah kelas 5, 8, dan 11. Sedangkan peserta UN adalah siswa kelas akhir. Subjek peserta pada AKM dilakukan untuk sensus satuan pendidikan dengan sampel siswa. Sedangkan pada UN terdapat subjek peserta yaitu sensus siswa kelas akhir. AKM bukan sebagai penentu kelulusan. Sedangkan UN sebagai penentu kelulusan. Model soal pada AKM terdapat pilihan ganda, pilihan ganda kompleks, isian singkat, dan uraian. Sedangkan pada UN terdapat model soal pilihan ganda dan isian singkat. Periode pada AKM terjadi selama 2 hari. Sedangkan UN selama 4 hari. The purpose of this study is to review some of the assumptions of educators regarding AKM and National Examination. This research is a type of qualitative research. The data of this research are in the form of interviews from resource persons who have participated in AKM and UN along with examples of AKM and UN questions. The method used is a listening, free, libas, note-taking technique. In addition, another method used is the billing method. The results showed that the AKM questions were divided into 2, namely literacy and numeracy. While at the UN the questions are presented according to the subject. AKM participants are grades 5, 8, and 11. Meanwhile, UN participants are final grade students. The subject of the participants in the AKM was carried out for the census of the education unit with a sample of students. While at the UN there are participants' subjects, namely the final grade student census. AKM is not a determinant of graduation. While the UN as a determinant of graduation. The question model in the AKM consists of multiple choice, complex multiple choice, short entry, and description. While at the UN there are multiple choice questions and short entries. The period in AKM occurs for 2 days. While the UN for 4 days.
