Employees who have a high commitment, have a desire to defend themselves as members of the organization. Therefore, to develop an organization, various aspects must be considered that can create work commitment. This study aims to examine: 1) the influence of leadership style on work commitment, 2) the influence of organizational culture on work commitment and 3) the effect of reward on work commitment. This research is a quantitative descriptive study using multiple regression analysis. The population in this study was all employees at KOPPAS "Citra Kartini" Senggreng Sumberpucung Malang Regency with a sample using saturated sampling technique, amounting to 39 employees. The results of data analysis in this study can be concluded: 1) leadership style has a significant positive effect on employee commitment, 2) organizational culture has a significant positive effect on employee commitment, 3) reward has a significant positive effect on employee commitment, and 4) reward is a variable which has a dominant effect on employee commitment
Good practices of school-based management had been implemented in Indonesia almost two decades particular in basic education programs. However, it was still difficult to pinpoint certain program in a certain circumstances as the exemplary for others. The objectives were clarifying such kind of difficulties. This study compared the practices of nine programs at primary and junior secondary schools. Secondary data of 2420 respondents, from 15 districts in 7 provinces, were descriptively analyzed. The findings related to school planning, budgeting, information system, leadership, school climate, and school accountability. All these aspects appeared in those nine program. Most primary schools performed better than the upper education level. The results suggested for educational policies on continuous improvement in school management.
This study aimed to describe and analyze the effect of workload and work environment adaptability on employee performance in the Fish Canning Industry of Bitung City. This research is under the umbrella of causal associative research with quantitative methodology. The location of this research was carried out in a fish canning industrial company in Bitung City, with the object of employees being fish canning companies. The results of this study indicate that the workload and adaptability of the work environment affect the performance of employees in the fish canning industry sector in Bitung City, which means that the lower the workload and the better the adaptability of an employee will improve employee performance. Based on the results of descriptive analysis of the data, it can be explained that the workload is formed by the use of time, targets to be achieved, and working conditions. The most significant role in forming an employee's workload is reflected in the feeling that using time is essential in the production process. The adaptability of the work environment is shaped by changes in legislation, technological developments and changes in market tastes. The most significant role in forming an employee's work environment adaptability is market changes reflected in the work that continuously adapts to the surrounding work environment. Performance is shaped by quality, quantity, timeliness, effectiveness and independence. The most significant role in the formation of employee performance is independence, which is reflected in employees always paying attention to the instructions given by their superiors in completing tasks.
Objective of the research to reveal the influence of the principal managerial ability, work discipline, and interpersonal communication affects the teacher performance. The study uses a quantitative approach to the type of ex post facto research. The population is 06 teachers of SMK PGRI Malang. A sample of 58 respondents. The technique of collecting data using questionnaires and documentation. Analysis of data using multiple linear regression results show that (1) There is a significant influence managerial skills of principals, work discipline, and interpersonal communication simultaneously on teacher performance, (2) There is a significant influence managerial capability Principal partially on teacher performance (3) No effect on the performance of teachers' work discipline, (4) there is a significant influence interpersonal communication partially on teacher performance.Abstrak: Tujuan penelitian untuk mengungkapkan pengaruh Kemampuan manajerial Kepala Sekolah, disiplin kerja, dan komunikasi interpersonal berpengaruh terhadap kinerja guru. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian ex post facto. Populasi adalah guru SMK PGRI 06 Malang. Sampel sebanyak 58 responden. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan angket dan dokumentasi. Analisis data menggunakan regresi linier berganda Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) Terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan kemampuan manajerial Kepala Sekolah, disiplin kerja, dan komunikasi interpersonal secara simultan terhadap kinerja guru,(2) Terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan kemampuan manajerial Kepala Sekolah secara parsial terhadap kinerja guru, (3) Tidak ada pengaruh disiplin kerja terhadap kinerja guru, (4) Terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan komunikasi interpersonal secara parsial terhadap kinerja guru.
The purpose of this paper was to study the effects of parental status and selected home possessions on student reading ability in Indonesian junior secondary schools. Data of the Program for International Student Assessment held in 2015 were used. There were data from 6513 Indonesian students. The causal factors were tested by stepwise regression analysis. Findings revealed that after controlling for language as used at home, home possessions and parental status were still significant. Limitations due to the characteristics of this quantitative approach, the sample could not represent the multicultural characteristics of the country that might be difficult to explain in a more detailed why and how such findings happened.

Selorejo Village, Blitar Regency is a village where some of the residents produce Opak Gambir snacks which are still managed using traditional methods. This causes the management in the production to be less professional and less organized. This program aims to improve education and training, especially in the fields of entrepreneurship, finance, and marketing, so that the management of this home industry will be more organized and professional. The method of implementing the program is by providing education, training, and coaching for producers. The results of the program show that the producer is very well educated about the principles of entrepreneurship. Opak Gambir producers are also able to make financial plans both for administration and also the selling price of their products. The producer is also able to determine marketing plans, which include starting from the process of determining prices, determining distribution locations, and how the promotion process is carried out. Through this community service, it is hoped that the producer will be able to manage their business in a professional manner, apart from being a source of income, is also a destination for the Opak Gambir industry.
This study aims to describe the competence, work environment, and employee performance in the government of Bekasi City. The population in this study are employees in the Municipal Government of Bekasi, totaling 1200 people. The number of samples in this study was determined using the Slovin formula. The amount used is 8%; if rounded up, the sample size is 138 at a margin of error of 8%. This type of research is field research, namely direct observation of the object under study to obtain relevant data relevant to the frequency description research method. Traditional methods, positivistic, scientific, and discovery methods. The results of the analysis of this study show that indicators of knowledge, skills, self-concept, and motives contribute to competence. The dominant indicator that reflects competence is the motive factor; increased competence driven by social needs evidences this. The results of the analysis of this study show that indicators of ability, initiative, punctuality, quality of work, and communication contribute to employee performance. The dominant indicator that reflects employee performance is the punctuality factor, evidenced by being able to do the job within the given deadline. The findings of this study are expected to help central and regional governments make decisions about the performance of Managerial level employees in the Bekasi City government based on employee competence, work environment, organizational culture, and job satisfaction.
