Purpose The purpose of this paper is to evaluate the perceived quality of the service environment, regarding the use of the flipped classroom, through a survey of MBA students. Design/methodology/approach Four hypotheses were developed from the literature in marketing and quality services in higher education. The hypotheses were tested using linear regressions. The data were collected using a structured questionnaire. The sample had 981 effective responses. Findings The results of the statistical analysis show that the evaluation of the perceived quality of the educator and course are positively affected by the use of the flipped classroom. Research limitations/implications Only one higher education organisation was studied. The variables analysed have no mediation and moderation, which is a suggestion for future studies. Originality/value This paper contributes to studies of higher education services and quality, as it shows the influence of the process on the educator. In higher education, the educator is usually considered independent, having a strong influence on perceived quality. The study contributes to the theme by showing the flipped classroom as an effective teaching strategy that requires further empirical study.
Green innovation has become one of the mainstream concepts to address environmental issues. However, research on green innovation, especially at the firm level, is still evolving. Building upon the natural resource-based view (NRBV) and resource-based theory (RBT) lenses, this study proposes a research framework to explore determining factors of green innovation adoption (GIA) in the Brazilian cassava agribusiness sector. The research design from the semi-structured interviews method was employed in firms associated with ABAM (Brazilian Association of Starch and Cassava Producers) and SIMP (Union of Cassava Producers in Paraná). The findings suggest that behavioral factors for GIA, such as collaborative behaviors, productivity, safety behaviors, and green behaviors, are directly associated with other determining factors, such as knowledge, operating costs, stakeholder pressure, economic benefits, information access, customer assessment, organizational compatibility, and business support. Furthermore, GIA can lead to the effective implementation of sustainable practices to enhance economic performance and effective environmental management. The originality of this work stems from including behavioral factors for managers’ decision-making regarding resource allocation for GIA. It also includes a guideline to increase competitiveness in active green markets. It also contributes to a vision of GIA to evolve NRBV and RBT theories.
Objective of the study: to identify the intellectual structure of research on Internal Stickiness (IS) from the references existing in publications on this topic.Methodology / Approach: a bibliometric analysis of quotation and quotation was used, as well as a network analysis. The sample, after worked and free of articles that were not part of the theme, was composed of 152 articles from 1994 to 2018.Originality / Relevance: The transfer of knowledge and best practices among members of the organization has attracted considerations from academia and organizations, because the company's competitiveness is directly linked to the knowledge acquired and its sharing. The difficulty of transferring knowledge and best practices in organizations is represented by the term Internal Stickiness (IS).Main results: three fields were identified that guide research on (IS): Knowledge Transfer; Knowledge transfer as a positive factor for the organization; Knowledge Transfer and Strategic Innovation.Theoretical / methodological contributions: it was possible to identify that there was no review article on the topic (IS). So, this study was able to contribute with the theory and show the existing works that had a greater influence on (IS).Social / management contributions: it is noticed that the existing articles deal with (IS) as the difficulty of knowledge transfer. With this, this study can also contribute to the practice of knowledge transfer, mainly because this theme is related to the development of competitive advantage in companies. Keywords: Internal Stickiness; Knowledge Transfer; Bibliometric.
