Student's View of Using Digital Learning Media in Classroom Activities: A Case of Public Senior High School in Cirebon, Indonesia. Objectives: This study aimed to determine the perceptions of senior high school students about the use of digital learning media in the learning process. Method: This study used a descriptive research design with a survey method to the 53 students of XI IPA of SMAN 1 Susukan that were randomly selected as research sample. The questionnaire was distributed to the sample as a data collection technique, and then the results were analyzed quantitatively with a percentage. Findings: The results showed that students were familiar with the use of digital media in the learning process; about 55.7% of students had used digital learning media. However, it was still dominated by the visual-based media (49.1% of students). Meanwhile, students had a favorable view of learning multimedia; around 41.5 % of students agreed to the development of multimedia products. Conclusion: Learning multimedia could be an innovation in digital learning media according to the attitudes shown by the students.
The objective of this research was to investigate the application of mulicultural outing class in X IPS MAN 2 Model Medan during academic year [2017][2018]. The population of this research was the tenth grade of IPS MAN 2 Model Medan which consists of 1 class. The sample of this research was taken from X IPS MAN 2 Model Medan consist of 35 students. This research was qualitative research which was dealt to describe and analyze the phenomena, event, social activities, trust attitude, humans' perspectives individually or grouply. The instrument of this research used in this reaserach was documentation, observation, interviews which would be analyzed by data colecction, data reduction, data presentation, conclusion and verification. The result showed was the multicultural values of students' awareness who could build the respect behaviour towards them which has a different beliefs, cultures, ethnics, and social classes.
The aim of the study was to examine relationships between adolescents' perfectionism and their parents' parenting. The research method included the Parental Behaviour and Attitudes Questionnaire-ADOR (Matějček, Říčan, 1983), Multidimensional Perfectionism Scale-MPS (Frost et al., 1990) and Perfectionism Cognitions Inventory-PCI (Flett, Hewitt, Blankstein, Gray, 1998). The research sample consisted of 122 secondary school students aged 16 to 19 (average age 17.37 years), including 44 boys and 78 girls. The main findings of empirical analysis were that there are differences in the relationship between the father's and mother's influence on the development of some perfectionism dimensions in their children. The dimensions Concern over Mistakes and Doubts over Action showed a negative significant relationship with the father's Positive Interest (r =-0.25**). The relationship was not confirmed in mothers. Concern over Mistakes and Doubts over Action showed a weak significant relationship with Hostility in the father (0.21*) as well as mother (0.25**), and also a moderate relationship with the father's as well as mother's Inconsistency (r = 0.25**, r = 0.33**). The dimension Organization showed no relationship with the father's parenting. In the mother's parenting, a moderate relationship appeared between Organization and Positive Interest (0.35**).
Dalihan na tolu is one of the North Sumatranese's local wisdom, acclaimed as a relationship form and a system of familiarity among Batak Toba. The value preserves a community balance of life. Gen Z, that is school pupils, occupied as a biggest consumer toward the advance of information technology. Otherwise, technological innovation potent negative impact on student attitudes and characters. Local wisdom should be an alternative solution on resisting negative impact since technological revolution. Through qualitative approach, this research illustrated the role of local wisdom in managing students in using technology. In this study, there are fundamental differences in attitudes of students in using technology. There are fundamental differences among students attitude who integrate local wisdom in applying technology and who do not. Participants of the research was teacher of history, since the subject bounds with the flowering morals value and ethics through historical and cultural relics. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif deskriptif, mengunakan pendekatan studi kasus yang berlokasi di Sumatera Utara. penelitian ini mengambil sampel dua sekolah yang berbeda wilayah dan demografis, untuk melihat peran kearifan lokal dalihan na tolu dalam mengontrol siswa mengunakan teknologi. Dalam penelitian ini, ada perbedaan yang mendasar terhadap sikap siswa yang mengintegrasikan kearifan lokal dan yang tidak mengintegrasikan kearifan lokal dalam mengunakan teknologi. Partisispan dalam penelitian ini adalah guru pelajaran sejarah. Di karenakan pelajaran sejarah sangat berkaitan terhadap penanaman nilai, moral dan etika melalaui peninggalanpeninggalan sejarah maupun kebudayaan. Technological progress has had an impact on various fields of life, such as the field of education. The learning process is one of the systems that is influenced by digital technology, ongoing learning has been combined with the presence of innovative digital learning media. With the combination of technological advancements and learning systems, it is expected to have an impact on upgrading the quality of education. Reflections on improving the education's quality can be seen based on the competencies of students who have gone through a series of educational processes. Craft and Entrepreneurship are subjects that have just been applied to the implementation of the 2013 curriculum. The government has prepared a 2013 curriculum to equip students with the competencies needed in the era of digital technology. The development and utilization of technology on those learning processes will be able to assist students in understanding the material presented so that it is expected to produce students with competencies who are able to compete in the era of technology digital. Multimedia learning is one alternative computer-based that can be used by teachers to ease learning activities. The research method used in this article is a literature review, namely by finding and analyzing sources that are relevant to the object of this study.
Nowadays social conflict still occurs frequently on the behalf of ethnicity, race, and religion in Indonesia; it is because there is still identity crisis. Essentially, difference is this nation's identity, one form of which is local wisdom containing values that can be integrated into learning process. Therefore, an appropriate learning model is required in implementing the local wisdom values in particularly in history learning process. This study was a research and development using Dick and Carey model. Considering the result of validation and tryout, it could be concluded that Means-Ends Analysis model collaborated with Value Clarification Technique could help the students identify the local wisdom values.
Background: Adolescents are susceptible to positive and negative influences from the social environment. One of the negative influences is smoking behavior. Smoking in adolescents can have deleterous effect on health and academic achievement. This study aimed to determine the association between cigarette advertisement, peer group, parental education, family income, and pocket money on smoking behavior among adolescents. Subjects and Method:This was an analytic observational study using cross-sectional design. This study was carried out in Colomadu Sub district, Karanganyar District, Central Java. A sample of 100 teenagers was selected for this study. The dependent variable was smoking behavior. The independent variables were exposure to cigarette advertisement, peer group, parental education, family income, and pocket money. The data were collected by a set of questionnaire. The data were analyzed by logistic regression. Results: Smoking behavior in adolescents was associated with exposure to cigarette advertisement (OR=22.58; 95% CI =2.42 to 210.69; p=0.006), peer group (OR=44.00; 95% CI =3.99 to 485.33; p=0.002), parental education (OR= 36.92; 95% CI =3.12 to 427.81; p=0.004), family income (OR=0.09; 95% CI= 0.01 to 0.97; p=0.047), and pocket money (OR=10.56; 95% CI=1.22 to 91.56; p=0.032). Conclusion: Smoking behavior in adolescents was associated with exposure to cigerrete advertisement, peer group, parental education, family income, and pocket money.
