The objective of this research is to develop a conceptual model, by proposing the concept of value oriented developmental interaction capability, to fill in the research gap between knowledge sharing and team performance among the functional teams in the organization, then testing the model in the hotel industries in Yogyakarta Special Region and Central Java Province in Indonesia. Adopting the interaction theory and the concept of work values, the concept of value oriented developmental interaction capability is introduced and inserted in the research model for mediating the influence of knowledge sharing to teamwork performance. A purposive sampling is adopted in inviting employee in a hospitality industry sector to participate in this research. Following the acceptance of the regression coefficients, the Sobel test statistics is conducted and proving the role of value oriented developmental interaction capability as a mediator between knowledge sharing and teamwork performance.
<p><em>This study aimed to determine the effect of the Employee Work Engagement variable as a mediating variable between Perceived Organizational Support and Work-Life Balance. This type of quantitative descriptive research with Structural Equation Modeling as a data processing approach. The sampling technique is purposive sampling. They collected data by distributing questionnaires to 200 security unit employees working at State and Private Universities in Semarang City. The results showed a significant positive effect between the variables perceived organisational support, employee work engagement and work-life balance. The significant positive effect of the relationship between the three variables indicates that the employee work engagement variable can mediate the relationship between Perceived Organizational Support and Work-Life Balance. The triadic process between organisational support, work involvement and work-life balance is an implementation of social exchange theory. Employees give their time, energy, thoughts and enthusiasm for the organisation's benefit. Organisations provide remuneration in the form of compensation and welfare for the persistence of employee work for the advancement of the organisation. It gives a sense of satisfaction and happiness and can be used for yourself and your family.</em></p><p> </p><p>Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh variabel <em>Employee Work Engagement</em> sebagai variabel mediasi antara <em>Perceived Organizational Support</em> dan <em>Work-life Balance</em>. Jenis penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif dengan <em>Structural Equation Modeling</em> sebagai pendekatan pengolahan data. Teknik pengambilan sampel adalah <em>purposive sampling</em>. Metode pengumpulan data dengan menyebarkan kuesioner kepada 200 pegawai satpam yang bekerja di Perguruan Tinggi Negeri dan Swasta di Kota Semarang. Hasil menunjukkan ada pengaruh positif signifikan antara variabel persepsi dukungan organisasi<em>, employee work engagement</em> dan <em>work-life balance</em>. Pengaruh positif signifikan pada hubungan ketiga variabel tersebut menunjukkan bahwa variabel <em>employee work engagement</em> mampu memediasi hubungan <em>Perceived Organizational Support</em> dan <em>Work-life Balance</em>. Proses triadik antara dukungan organisasi, keterlibatan kerja dan keseimbangan kehidupan kerja merupakan implementasi dari teori pertukaran sosial. Karyawan memberikan waktu, tenaga, pikiran dan semangat untuk kepentingan organisasi. Organisasi memberikan remunerasi berupa kompensasi dan kesejahteraan pada karyawan serta memberikan rasa kepuasan dan kebahagiaan yang dapat digunakan untuk diri sendiri dan keluarga.</p>
The purpose of this study was to analyze the antecedent variables that affect business performance in the handicraft sector SMEs in Central Java. The population of this study are all owners of handicraft SMEs in Central Java. Samples were taken using purposive sampling method. Data were collected through questionnaires, and processed using Structural Equation Modeling analysis. The loading factor value of each indicator on the latent variable shows a significant value. Based on the results showed a significant positive effect on the direct effect of knowledge sharing on innovative behavior, and innovative performance behavior on business performance. The direct relationship of knowledge sharing on innovative behavior shows the dominant influence value. The indirect effect of knowledge sharing on MSME business performance is mediated by innovative behavior. The results of this study contribute to strengthening social capital theory, the concept of organizational citizenship behavior, resource based view and knowledge based view theory.
Research aims: The purpose of this study is to analyze several antecedent variables that affect lecturer performance, namely perceived organizational support, affective values, and academic culture.Design/Methodology/Approach: The population of this research was the lecturers of the Politeknik Negeri Semarang. The sampling method used purposive sampling. Data collection methods were by distributing questionnaires, interviews, observation, and literature study. The data were analyzed using the Structural Equation Modeling technique. Research findings: Based on statistical results, four hypotheses proposed showed a significant positive effect on all relationships between variables. The indirect effect of the independent variable on the lecturer's performance produces a strategy, improving the lecturer's performance through affective values. In addition, the dominant influence between variables is shown by the relationship between affective values on the lecturer's performance.Theoretical Contribution/Originality: In accordance with social exchange theory and organizational support theory, there was a mutually beneficial reciprocal relationship between the organization and employees. Socio-emotional needs of lecturers were met when they received good treatment from their leaders, which had implications for the value of employee commitment to organizational progress.Practitioners/Policy Implications: The organization's management team must always support the improvement of the competence and welfare needs of employees. The give-and-take relationship between the organization and employees fosters morale to achieve a common goal. In addition, affective value as a consequent variable of perceived organizational support and academic culture increases the active participation of organizational members to always be proud to be part of the organization and adapt to challenging tasks as self-actualization.Research Limitations/Implications: However, this study only used one research object. Thus, future research needs to consider the research object in all state polytechnics in Indonesia. Such studies are necessary for cross-validating research findings.
Changes in consumer behavior due to the Covid-19 pandemic have shifted to online-based purchases. Consumers who initially made transactions directly, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, changed to make transactions online. MSMEs must quickly adapt to consumer behavior changes to survive the economic downturn. Digital marketing training is a solution to help MSMEs to adapt to changes in consumer behavior and vulnerable communities to find business and entrepreneurship opportunities through digital media. The competitiveness of the barbershop market competition demands to continue to innovate and adapt quickly. The era of destruction is a challenge for businesses that have not yet migrated to use Digital Marketing as the spearhead of expanding market reach, a new habit of modern humans who prefer a practical and easily accessible way with gadgets. MSMEs must read the opportunities and quickly keep up with the pace of the market which is controlled by digital technology. The digital market requires skills, high creativity, and consistency in creating creative content so that market interest can be taken over. Digital marketing training is already a major need for MSMEs, especially small businesses haircut "Madura" so that their existence can develop in the digital market.
Introduction: The Covid-19 pandemic has brought changes to the education system, one of which is the implementation of online learning. This condition makes students like students have to use digital devices, even with a more intense frequency. Therefore, this study aims to determine the level of nomophobia in students as participants in online learning. Methods: This research is descriptive research with a quantitative approach. The study was conducted with a one-time survey (cross-sectional survey). The research was conducted through 3 stages: preparation of the nomophobia measurement instrument, data collection, and measurement of the level of nomophobia. Results: 287 respondents were obtained, then the demographics of the respondents can be grouped by gender, age, internet fund source, and online learning media used. Most of the respondents were female (71%) and teenagers (12-25 years) (99%). In addition, the results show that nomophobia has become a new disease epidemic among students, especially in online learning, that requires an increase in the frequency of smartphone access. There are no respondents who are not nomophobia. The respondents have mild nomophobia (6%), moderate nomophobia (40%), and severe nomophobia (54%). Conclusions: Most of the respondents had a severe level of nomophobia. In addition, the students feel uncomfortable when communicating and accessing information via smartphones or other gadgets, lose connectivity, and cannot use smartphones as desired. Their lives are very dependent on smartphones or other devices. One of the triggers is online learning, where all processes are carried out through digital media. At least students who are not nomophobia also show that nomophobia has proven to be one of the negative impacts that students have to face as participants in online learning.
