A divulgação científica tem ganhado especial atenção nas discussões a respeito da ciência e do ensino de ciências, muito devido à pesquisa realizada em 1987 sobre a percepção pública da ciência e da tecnologia, visando ações de divulgação científica. Os PCNEM e as PCN+ que trazem orientações sobre o uso dessa forma de comunicação no ensino são marcos na aproximação entre ensino e divulgação científica. Assim, incorporando-se à nossa cultura e aumentando a importância de analisar criticamente essas informações para entender melhor o que é e para que serve a divulgação científica, pois, sem alguns cuidados, pode ter impactos negativos. Buscamos investigar as relações entre as ideias ou percepções do público participante das pesquisas e suas próprias atitudes, divulgadas como resultados da pesquisa “Percepção Pública da Ciência e Tecnologia no Brasil”. Os dados mostram uma população confiante nos benefícios da C&T, contudo sem saber quais benefícios, nem apresentando o mesmo grau de confiança no solucionar problemas como fome e pobreza e, ainda, considerando das maiores responsáveis pelos problemas ambientais. Também contrastantes quanto à importância da participação em decisões sobre o rumo da ciência, enquanto mostra-se pouco interessada por ciência ou acredita que pessoas não são capazes de aprender ciência.
ResumoEste artigo apresenta resultados parciais de um estudo que teve como objetivo analisar as concepções de Ciências, do perfil do cientista e do desenvolvimento cientí-fico, de alunos do Ensino Médio por intermédio de atividades realizadas com base no conto denominado "Ótima é a água" de Primo Levi. Seu conteúdo possibilitou a discussão acerca da importância de se romper com a visão empírico-indutiva da Ciência, bem como a importância do erro no desenvolvimento científico. A epistemologia de Bachelard norteou o estudo que teve como instrumento de recolha de dados um questionário composto de questões abertas, respondido pelos alunos, no final da atividade. O principal contributo deste estudo relaciona-se com as reflexões e contradições geradas e a compreensão da importância de se considerar o erro na construção da Ciência e do desenvolvimento científico.
A Teoria dos Campos Conceituais (TCC), desenvolvida por Gérard Vergnaud (1933), filósofo, matemático e psicólogo francês, é uma teoria cognitivista que se reporta à construção de conceitos como fundamento principal. Para Vergnaud o conhecimento de um indivíduo se constrói à medida que ele consegue estabelecer relações e conceitualizar determinadas situações ou problemas, que necessitam de teoremas de níveis diferentes (VERGNAUD, 1996a). Nesse sentido, a questão da conceitualização perpassa não somente questões de caráter teórico, pensando no verbo conceitualizar, mas se dá por meio de uma estreita dialetização entre o empírico e o teórico e isso se evidencia não somente na construção dos conceitos pelos sujeitos, mas também na construção histórica dos princípios (VERGNAUD, 1996a).Dessa forma, a TCC "trata-se de uma teoria psicológica do conceito, ou melhor, da conceitualização do real, que permite situar e estudar as filiações e rupturas entre conhecimentos do ponto de vista de seu conteúdo conceitual" (VERGNAUD, 1996a, p. 133, tradução nossa). Tem também como foco estruturar princípios sobre a aprendizagem e desenvolvimento de competências que são elaboradas em diversos âmbitos, como por exemplo, na escola e seu meio externo (VERGNAUD, 1996a(VERGNAUD, , 2009). Assim, além de poder auxiliar na organização das intervenções pedagógicas, a TCC tem como seus dois objetivos principais:(1) descrever e analisar a complexidade progressiva, a longo e médio prazo, das competências matemáticas que os alunos desenvolvem dentro e fora da escola, e (2) estabelecer melhores conexões entre a forma operacional de conhecimento, que consiste na ação no mundo físico e social e na forma predicativa do conhecimento, que consiste nas expressões linguísticas e simbólicas desse conhecimento (VERGNAUD, 2009, p. 83, tradução nossa). Isto posto, a TCC se faz valer em um contexto em que várias proposições e conceitos são previstos, de forma que, esta teoria possa ser compreendida e significada nos contextos da educação. Tendo em vista esses pressupostos, o objetivo desta produção, foi traçar alguns fundamentos, trazidos por Vergnaud, que embasam a Teoria dos Campos Conceituais, como, campos conceituais, conceitos, situações, esquemas, invariantes operatórios e as representações, e que podem ser refletidos para os contextos da educação. A PERSPECTIVA DOS CONCEITOS E DOS CAMPOS CONCEITUAISUm campo conceitual pode ser pensado, primeiramente, enquanto conceito, como por exemplo, o da densidade. No entanto, a que se refere à ideia de densidade? Seria possível explicá-la, usando uma definição em si própria, ou seja, sem elementos que constituem outros conceitos? Assim, nos parece adequada a utilização do termo "campos conceituais" quando nos referimos a um fundamento, pois, um conceito nunca está isolado e sempre é formado em relação a outros conceitos e situações (VERGNAUD,1982(VERGNAUD, , 1996a(VERGNAUD, , 2013a.
ResumoA simbologia química é um dos temas mais importantes no estudo desta ciência, pois é por meio dela que se traduzem os fenômenos subatômicos e, assim, podemos considerála mediadora no entendimento de diversos conceitos macroscópicos e moleculares. Apesar da relevância, pesquisas revelam que estudantes apresentam dificuldades centradas neste tema, o que pode dificultar a compreensão de conceitos químicos. Nesse sentido, esta pesquisa possui o intuito de identificar se 72 estudantes ingressantes de uma universidade pública do estado do Paraná, que cursavam a disciplina de química geral, compreendiam alguns símbolos amplamente usados em química e os significavam em suas diversas circunstâncias, através de suas representações/modelos. A partir dos dados coletados, pretendeu-se apresentar reflexões sobre os modelos dos estudantes para tais entidades, em especial, se os acadêmicos compreendiam os símbolos por ele próprio e se eram capazes de relacioná-los com os seus aspectos teóricos e empíricos. A análise da questão aplicada indicou que os alunos identificaram alguns símbolos, porém, tiveram dificuldades para representá-los, demonstrando a necessidade em ampliar as reflexões sobre a importância da simbologia e das discussões que se referem à integração dos três aspectos do conhecimento químico: macroscópicos; simbólicos e moleculares.Palavras-chave: Triângulo de Johnstone. Este artigo apresenta resultados de uma pesquisa de natureza qualitativa realizada com estudantes do Ensino Médio de uma Escola Pública da cidade de Maringá-PR, com o objetivo de responder à pergunta: que potencialidades pedagógicas, na aprendizagem do conceito de viscosidade, são reveladas pelo conto “Ótima é a água”? Analisando, desta forma, as contribuições do referido conto de Primo Levi para os processos de ensino e de aprendizagem. Para tanto, utilizou-se o conto, questionamentos constituídos por questões abertas e um experimento de caráter investigativo que se configuraram em instrumentos de coleta de dados. O estudo possibilitou discussões significativas a respeito da utilização e contribuições do conto empregado como ferramenta problematizadora para a construção de conhecimentos. Entre as discussões, destaca-se a importância de metodologias que possibilitem reflexões acerca de concepções dos estudantes, como a de que os conceitos de viscosidade e densidade são similares. Além disso, reflexões sobre problemas ambientais e o próprio conceito de viscosidade foram pontos significativos apontados na pesquisa.
