This research was conducted by a high amount of unemployment from graduate students of university. The high amount of unemployment from graduate students of university indicated that undergraduate students had low work readiness. Career planning and self-efficacy were the factors assumed that influenced work readiness. This research was intended to describe: (1) career planning, self-efficacy, and work readiness of undergraduate students, (2) the correlation of career planning with work readiness, (3) the correlation carrier planning and self-efficacy with work readiness. This research applied correlational descriptive research with quantitative method. The population of this research was the seventh and ninth undergraduate students semester of Guidance and Counseling of UIN Suska Riau consisting of 139 undergraduate students, the sample consisted of 103 undergraduate students chosen by using proportional stratified random sampling technique. The instrument used was likert scale model. The data were analysed by using descriptive statistic, simple regression and multiple regression. The research findings indicated that: (1) career planning of undergraduate students was averagely included into good category, self-efficacy of undergraduate students was averagely included into high category, work readiness of undergraduate students was averagely included into high category, (2) there was a significant correlation between career planning with work readiness about 28,7% (R = 0,536, significance 0.000), (3) there was a significant correlation between self-efficacy with work readiness about 16.4% (R = 0.405, significance 0.000), (4) there was a significant correlation between carrier planning and self-efficacy with work readiness about 33.2% (R = 0.576, significance 0.000). Mahasiswa ketika berada pada masa perkuliahan dibekali dengan berbagai teori dan keterampilan sesuai dengan bidang keilmuannya, pengetahuan dan keterampilan tersebut dapat diperoleh mahasiswa baik di dalam kelas maupun di luar kelas. Berbagai pengetahuan dan keterampilan yang diperoleh mahasiswa selama di bangku kuliah merupakan bekal untuk menjalani hidup pada masa mendatang.Prayitno (2007) menjelaskan bahwa mahasiswa yang sukses dapat dilihat dari tiga sisi, yaitu sukses akademik, sukses dalam hubungan sosial kemasyarakatan, dan sukses dalam persiapan karier. Artinya mahasiswa yang dikatakan sukses ialah mahasiswa yang mampu memenuhi kriteria tersebut. IPK yang tinggi, relasi yang luas, dan perencanaan karier yang matang akan memudahkan mahasiswa dalam mencapai kesuksesan karier pada masa mendatang.
The learning process in university level is quite different from the former education levels so that the students need to be adapted to. The students, in fact, were still unaccustomed to the learning style, unserious and frequently absent from the class, did not do assignment as they were required, and did not submit the tasks on the time they were due. This research was intended to describe the students' learning style and learning skill and its implication in Guidance and Counseling service. This research could be classified into descriptive study. The population of the research was 1021 students in the Faculty of Education of UNP. By using purposive random sampling technique and Taro Yamane formula, 287 students were taken as the sample. The instrument of the research was the scale of Likert model. The data obtained were analyzed by using percentage technique. The correlation between learning style and learning outcomes was tested by using Chi Square, and correlation between learning skill and learning outcomes was tested by using Spearman Rank Correlation. The results of the research revealed that: (1) the learning style dominantly applied by the students of the Faculty of Education of UNP was visual learning style which was used by 49.13% students, (2) the learning skill of the students of the Faculty of Education of UNP was in average category (68.18%), (3) there was a significant correlation between learning style and learning outcomes, and (4) there was a significant correlation between learning skill and learning outcomes. The implication of these research findings toward Guidance and Counseling Service was it was necessary to cooperate with other related parties to optimize the students' learning style, learning skill and learning outcomes.
Determining the choice of jobs or education choices is one of the tasks during the development of the senior high school. For that, high school students are required to understand and master the concepts of career maturity to be able to pick and choose the appropriate career direction. Career maturity is influenced by several factors, including internal locus of control and self-concept. Someone who has an internal locus of control has a perception that the measures themselves would produce a positive thing that makes their work more successful. The self-concept is considered critical to the success of life because when someone feels good about himself and his ability, to predict a person's life will be successful.

The Guidance and counseling service aims to enable students to realize himself as a person independent, responsible, creative students and productive workers. This study aims to clarify understanding counselor about the developmental tasks of students with a service that is based on the developmental tasks of students, research methods including quantitative descriptive with explaining what the circumstances are. The results of the analysis of the developmental tasks of understanding counselor SMAN Pekanbaru showed that overall results of the analysis showed that the overall average school counselors understand the duties and responsibilities as a school counselor to provide services based on their students' progress.
This study is setting of issues about how the perception of task and work motivation influencing much on the performance of BK teacher/counselor at Junior High Schools in Kupang city. The goal is to describe the influence of perception on task and work motivation of BK teacher/counselor in the performance of duties in the school. The research uses a quantitative approach with descriptive methods. The results of this study showed that the perception of task and work motivation of BK teacher/counselor give a very significant influence on the performance of BK teachers/counselor in execution of duty.
Good self control will lead individual to have discipline behavior. This research aims to describe the contribution of self control to students’ discipline. This research used a quantitative approach with a descriptive method. The subject of the research was 42 students of SMA Negeri 2 Sungai Limau. Scale was used to collect the data which consist of Self Control Scale and Students’ Discipline Scale. The data was analyzed by using descriptive statistic method and simple regression with SPSS version 20. The research findings shows significant contribution of self control to students’ discipline. Thus, self control gives significant impact to students’ discipline. This findings is based on data analysis which shows r score 0,71 means there is strong relationship between self control and students’ discipline.
The background of this research was motivated by there were students who have not the goal and a clear career plan. The purpose of this study were (1) describe students career planning is sighted socio-economic status, gender, and majors, (2) examined differences in students career planning of socio-economic status of high, medium, and low, (3) examined differences in students career planning of based on male and female, (4) examined differences in students career planning majoring in science and social studies, (5) examined differences in career planning of students based on interaction of between socio-economic status, gender, and majors. This research is a comparative descriptive study using 2 x 2 x 3 factorial design. The population of this research was a class XI students at SMAN 7 Padang with 258 students. Sample this research consistsof 160 people and selected by proportional random sampling technique. The instrument was using career planning scale reliability value of 0,751. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and Analysis of Variance (ANOVA). The results showed that: (1) students career planning in terms of socio-economic status, gender, and majors at the high category, (2) there is no significant differences in career planning ofstudents in terms of socio-economic status of high, medium and low, (3) there is no significant differences in career planning of students in terms of male and female, (4) there is nosignificant difference in career planning of students in terms of majoring in science and social studies, (5) there is no difference in career planning of students in terms of interaction between socio-economic status, gender, and majors. The implication of this research as one of an input for designing aguidance and counseling program, especially in the career planning.
