The learning process in university level is quite different from the former education levels so that the students need to be adapted to. The students, in fact, were still unaccustomed to the learning style, unserious and frequently absent from the class, did not do assignment as they were required, and did not submit the tasks on the time they were due. This research was intended to describe the students' learning style and learning skill and its implication in Guidance and Counseling service. This research could be classified into descriptive study. The population of the research was 1021 students in the Faculty of Education of UNP. By using purposive random sampling technique and Taro Yamane formula, 287 students were taken as the sample. The instrument of the research was the scale of Likert model. The data obtained were analyzed by using percentage technique. The correlation between learning style and learning outcomes was tested by using Chi Square, and correlation between learning skill and learning outcomes was tested by using Spearman Rank Correlation. The results of the research revealed that: (1) the learning style dominantly applied by the students of the Faculty of Education of UNP was visual learning style which was used by 49.13% students, (2) the learning skill of the students of the Faculty of Education of UNP was in average category (68.18%), (3) there was a significant correlation between learning style and learning outcomes, and (4) there was a significant correlation between learning skill and learning outcomes. The implication of these research findings toward Guidance and Counseling Service was it was necessary to cooperate with other related parties to optimize the students' learning style, learning skill and learning outcomes.
When the formation of self-identity reaches the peak of adolescence can experience sexual identity disorder. The development of cases of LGB perpetrators among students who are at the stage of late adolescent development is an indication of the disruption of the formation of adolescent self-identity. One reason is that the education system in the family does not work well. This study aims to explain the direction of student sexual attraction and the existence of the family in preventing LGB among students. The results of the study showed that the sexual orientation of students was in a good category, so prevention efforts were needed so as not to fall prey to LGB behavior that was increasingly developing among the millennial generation

Perguruan tinggi merupakan salah satu lembaga pendidikan yang bertanggung jawab dalam mewujudkan suasana belajar dan proses pembelajaran.Universitas Negeri Padang (UNP) sebagai salah satu lembaga pendidikan tinggi di Indonesia melalui fakultas dan jurusan yang ada memiliki tanggung jawab untuk dapat mengembangkan aspek-aspek yang terdapat pada diri mahasiswa, baik berupa fisik, sosial, kepribadian maupun mental. Sebagai wujud atau bentuk perubahan pengetahuan, perubahan sikap dan tingkah laku, keterampilan, kecakapan dan kemampuan yang telah dicapai yang dapat dilihat dari hasil belajar yang diperoleh.Mahasiswa harus mengikuti perkuliahan dengan semaksimal mungkin agar bisa memperoleh nilai yang baik. Prayitno, dkk (2002: 1) menyatakan bahwa "menjalani kuliah merupakan bagian yang amat penting dalam kegiatan belajar di perguruan tinggi". Pada kegiatan perkuliahan semua materi pokok yang harus dikuasai mahasiswa akan dibahas dosen bersama mahasiswa melalui berbagai kegiatan belajar. Misalnya, dosen menjelaskan dan menguraikan materi perkuliahan sedangkan mahasiswa mencatat dan menyarikan penjelasan dosen pada buku catatan atau memberi kode/tanda pada buku sumber yang dibacanya. This article discusses the challenges of students in continuing their education to higher education, especially students from vocational or vocational high schools. Vocational (vocational) high school students can continue their education to higher education in addition to having great opportunities to enter the world of work. Students who wish to continue their education to tertiary institutions do not show the required preparation. Likewise, students who will choose to work after completing Vocational High School are less mature in entering the world of work. This study aims to analyze the preparation of students in continuing their education to higher education. This type of research is descriptive research. The research subjects were students of vocational high schools, amounting to 89 people. The questionnaire in this research uses the theory developed by Prayitno. The results showed that at least the number of students who made preparations before they entered college. Thus, it is hoped that the counselor can help improve students' understanding of themselves and their environment, in preparation for entering college.
