Di Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan ada siswa yang belum mencapai perkembangan karier yang optimal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan persepsi siswa tentang program studi keahlian yang ditempati dan perencanaan karier siswa serta menguji hubungan antara persepsi siswa tentang program studi keahlian yang ditempati dengan perencanaan karier. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian korelasional, dengan sampel 260 siswa yang dipilih dengan teknik Proportional Random Sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah skala model likert. Analisis deskriptif dilakukan dengan menentukan nilai skor dan persentase. Pengujian hipotesis penelitian menggunakan rumus korelasi Pearson Product Moment. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan: (1) persepsi siswa tentang program studi keahlian yang ditempati berada pada kategori positif, (2) perencanaan karier siswa berada pada kategori baik, (3) terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara persepsi siswa tentang program studi keahlian yang ditempati dengan perencanaan karier, dengan koefisien korelasi 0,801 pada taraf signifikansi 0,000. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan perlunya peningkatan perencanaan karier siswa yang dapat dilakukan antara lain dengan mengubah persepsi siswa tentang program studi keahlian yang ditempatinya.
This article discusses the challenges of students in continuing their education to higher education, especially students from vocational or vocational high schools. Vocational (vocational) high school students can continue their education to higher education in addition to having great opportunities to enter the world of work. Students who wish to continue their education to tertiary institutions do not show the required preparation. Likewise, students who will choose to work after completing Vocational High School are less mature in entering the world of work. This study aims to analyze the preparation of students in continuing their education to higher education. This type of research is descriptive research. The research subjects were students of vocational high schools, amounting to 89 people. The questionnaire in this research uses the theory developed by Prayitno. The results showed that at least the number of students who made preparations before they entered college. Thus, it is hoped that the counselor can help improve students' understanding of themselves and their environment, in preparation for entering college.
Learning is the main task of students undergoing education in college. In learning, there is physical and psychological involvement that allows maximum learning outcomes to be obtained. Some students experience problems in learning. This study aims to reveal learning problems, causes of learning problems, and efforts to overcome learning problems experienced by students. This type of research is descriptive quantitative. The research findings show that students experience learning problems related to learning skills, personal self, learning tools, and socio-emotional environment. These problems are caused by factors that originate from students and the social environment outside of students. Efforts made by students to overcome the learning problems they experience are searching for information on social media, telling problems to friends or friends and counseling at the guidance and counseling services UPT.
