The research was backgrounded by still low level of the learning motivation of students. The self-concept and parental support suspectted to affect the learning motivation of students. This research aims to describe : (1) the self-concepts, (2) parental support, (3) learning motivation of students, (4) the contribution of the self-concept toward the learning motivation of students, (5) the parental support contributions toward the learning motivation of students, and (6) the contribution of self-concept and parental support together against to the learning motivation of students. This study used a descriptive correlational quantitative method. The population of this research was students of SMA Negeri 8 Padang in class XI and XII which totaled 464 people. The number of samples are 215 people, selected by proportional stratified random sampling technique. The instrument used is the scale. Results validity and reliability of the instrument self-concept, parental support, and learning motivation of student stated that valid and reliable research instruments. Data were analyzed with descriptive statistics, simple regression, and multiple regression. The findings showed that: (1) the average description of self-concepts are in positive category, (2) an average description of parental support are in high category, (3) description of the learning motivation of students are in high category, (4) there is contribution of self-concept toward the learning motivation of students by 24.2%, (5) there is contribution of parental support toward the learning motivation of students by 18.8%, and (6) there are contributions of self-concept and parental support together toward the learning motivation of students amounted to 30.7%. Implications of the research results can be used as input to create a program of guidance and counseling services.
PENDAHULUANKesuksesan individu dalam karier tidak terlepas dari pendidikan. Pendidikan bertujuan untuk mengembangkan segala potensi yang dimiliki siswa secara optimal agar menjadi individu yang berkualitas, mempunyai kapabilitas tinggi, memiliki keunggulan kompetitif dalam kehidupan global, serta memberikan pengetahuan dan keterampilan sebagai persiapan untuk melanjutkan kehidupan yang lebih baik di masa depan. Berbicara tentang masa depan pada umumnya berorientasi pada karier atau pekerjaan. Yusuf (2002:58) mengungkapkan pendidikan merupakan pre-occupation, dimana pendidikan adalah awal penentuan karier seseorang. Pendidikan juga merupakan unsur utama dari usaha seseorang dalam membina, mematangkan persiapan pilihan jenis karier serta menyusun rencana karier tertentu. Karier sangat berkaitan dengan perkembangan personal seseorang dan menjadi bagian penting dalam kesuksesan hidup.Aspirasi merupakan salah satu aspek yang ada pada diri individu yang dapat mempengaruhi kehidupan. As a certified professional, teacher forms indispensable roles in achieving the learning objectives. The complexity of teacher's profession decidedly requires the teacher to master a number of competencies and skills. One of them is to master the basic teaching skills. Realizing the complexities of the teacher's profession and the requirement of teacher's profession, LPTK -Faculty of Teacher Training and Education-which produces professional teacher, requires enhancing the teacher's quality and creativity through pre-service teaching and training. Microteaching is one of the efforts to prepare the candidate for a professional teacher in higher education. The growth of a number of students being served with the availability of micro teaching laboratories is, however, disproportionate. Consequently, the problems faced are the time management, the laboratory utilization, the availability of sufficient microteaching infrastructures as well as the implementation of micro teaching itself. One of the ways to solve the problems is to develop a microteaching model adapting the force driving sophisticated ICT named TADALURING Microteaching Learning Model (TMLM). The Instructional Systems Design (ISD) made use of developing the model is Borg and Gall procedures. The cyclical phases of conducting the research were preliminary research, development, fieldtesting, and dissemination. The research finding indicates that the trialtested model is stated valid, practical, and effective. The TADALURING Microteaching Learning Model (TMLM) is essentially accentuated on a face-to-face classroom, online and offline practices.

Planning career direction is a dynamic process and systematically assist students in determining the path of further education or work aspired. A phenomenon that occurs student is not realistic in choosing further education, are not ready to choose further education, and confused in choosing colleges and majors who wish to enter. One of the services that can be used to help students planning a career direction is a group counseling services. This study aims to reveal (1) planning career direction experimental group before and after being given treatment, (2) planning career direction control group pre-test and post-test without being offered treatment (3) planning towards student careers experimental and control groups in post -test.The method used in this research is a quasi-experimental research design nonequivalent control group design. The population in this study were students of class XI SMA Development Laboratory State University of Padang and SMA Pertiwi 1 Padang. Sampling by random sampling technique. The research sample numbering 20 students. The instrument used is a Likert scale model. Data were analyzed using non-parametric statistics using the Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test and Kolmogorov-Smirnov 2 Independent Samples with SPSS version 20.00.The findings of this s research in general that guidance services group influence on the planning direction student careers, whereas in particular: (1) there are significant differences planning career direction before and after following guidance services group, (2) there are no significant differences planning career direction the control group pre-test and post-test without a given treatment, and (3) there is a significant difference toward career planning students experimental and control groups in post-test. Based on the above findings, it can be concluded that students planning a career direction can be enhanced with group counseling services.
Abstrak Bimbingan Teknis ini disenggarakan dalam upaya peningkatan atau pemecahan masalah dan peningkatan mutu pendidikan di berbagai bidang. Kegiatan ini diberikan kepada Guru-guru Sekolah Dasar Negeri 17 Limau Manis Padang. Guru-guru Sekolah ini merasa kurang memahami tentang Penelitian Tindakan Kelas. Setelah diberikan pelatihan/workshop tentang Penelitian Tindakan Kelas para guru yang terlibat sudah memilik pemahaman atau pengetahuan tentang pengertian penelitian tindakan kelas, karakteristik, prinsip prinsip, langkah-langkah dan alasan pentingnya penelitian tindakan kelas bagi guru di sekolah dasar. Respon guru pun cenderung positif dan menilai sangat baik, mereka mendapatkan sesuatu yang baru, hal ini terlihat dari respon positif masing-masing guru dan kepala sekolah dari Sekolah PENDAHULUANGuru-guru di Sekolah Dasar Negeri 17 Limau manis, ini merasa belum memahami tentang Penelitian Tindakan Kelas, yang selanjutnya disebut PTK, begitu pula untuk penulisan artikel. Padahal PTK dan artikel ini sangat dibutuhkan oleh guru dalam rangka pengembangan diri dan sekaligus untuk mengurus kenaikan pangkat dan kenaikan jabatan fungsional guru, di samping itu guru juga dituntut untuk selalu melakukan perbaikan perbaikan proses pembelajaran di kelas sesuai dengan kebutuhan anak. Maka dari itu dalam proses modernisasi saat ini peranan manusia sebagai guru amat menentukan, baik ditilik dari mutu maupun kemampuannya dalam memilih alternatif-alternatif yang tepat antara padat karya dan padat modal, maupun kemampuan untuk mengusahakan efisiensi dan produktifitas kerja sebagai guru.Dalam tahap ini sumber daya manusia sebagai guru merupakan faktor yang menduduki urutan prioritas utama dalam pembangunan. Kendatipun pengembangannya tidak dapat dikatakan sederhana karena meliputi berbagai aspek pendidikan sebagai guru maupun sebagai manusia yang kemudian disusul dengan pelatihanpelatihan kerja dalam rangka meningkatkan mutu pelayanan pendidikan, namun hasil kerja guru merupakan asset yang tak ternilai bagi kemajuan bangsa di kemudian hari.Dalam hubungan ini dirasakan adanya kebutuhan menserasikan sistem pendidikan dengan kebutuhan tenaga kerja, di mana lulusan pendidikan dapat dimanfaatkan secara optimal. Keseluruhan strategi dan langkah-langkah kebijaksanaan pengembangan kompetensi guru dan sumber daya manusia ini tidak terlepas PENDAHULUANGuru-guru di Sekolah Dasar Negeri 17 Limau manis, ini merasa belum memahami tentang Penelitian Tindakan Kelas, yang selanjutnya disebut PTK, begitu pula untuk penulisan artikel.
