Digital companies must improve their business models evolutionarily and innovatively. Therefore, IT investment, especially for revitalizing digital capabilities for operational changes, is important. Most companies are looking to source innovation from outside organizations. Partnership assessment is a crucial problem since it is not easy to integrate internal and external capabilities. The study aims to define business model innovation based on system dynamics with partnership scenarios. Open innovation is needed to evolve to meet market expansion. Partnership and IP strategies are discussed. System Dynamics modeling is utilized to map a system structure to capture its behavior and the relationships between elements, creating a simulation over time. The study develops a BMI to show how OI variables significantly contribute to the engine of growth for digital companies. The simulation reveals that OI has a significant effect on the company’s performance, indicated by significantly growing revenue after two years. At the early stage, patenting IP is not practical since the companies involved are unclear about the detailed IP. The IP success or the partner failure rate does not affect revenue significantly. After two years, companies sharing IP find the best way to benefit from it and lead to sustainable growth.
Multi-objective optimization is an optimization problem with some conflicting objectives to be attained, simultanously. This paper reviewed literature about multi-objective optimization problems for supply chain management. The review aimed to provide the lastest research views and recomendations for further studies. We discussed the lastest ten years publications about multi-objective optimization for supply chain management. The scope of this review was classified into five categories i.e. problem statements, multi-objective frameworks, mathematical formulation modeling, optimization techniques, and representation of supply chain. Multi-objective optimization approaches, both classical and metaheuristic approaches, were discussed, accordingly. In this review, we conducted conclusion and recomendations about likelihood research directions in future.Science Ltd. All rights reserved. Growing 6 © 201
Halal food is food in which its halalness status is regulated by a shariah institution, which is normally designated by the government. The halal status of food should be traced starting from raw materials, processing, packaging, transportation and distribution processes to end consumers. This is to make sure that halal food is free from any contamination that may change its halal status. The problem is the difficulty of tracing halal food along the supply chain as the supply chain information from the upstream to downstream in the food industry is not transparent. Currently, food tracking systems are a centralized system, where information about food status is only available to those who control the information. To improve the transparency of the food status and to increase trust from customers, a distributed and transparent system, where many parties can access the food status any time, is needed. Blockchain technology can be applied to help track the halalness status of food along its supply chain. As blockchain is inherently distributed and transparent, hence a distributed system can be developed by incorporating blockchain technology for tracking food status. This paper proposes a distributed system for tracing halal food along its supply chains using blockchain technology. This system is expected to support transparency, neutrality.
Unmanned Aerial Vehicle has been adopted in various different areas starting from hobby photography to professional measurement techniques. This paper focuses on the potential of using UAV for agriculture and agroindustry to improve the overall productivity and reducing the overall product cost. It provides brief overview of available UAV systems on the market including their sensors and capabilities. More important is the software part and required algorithms for controlling the AUV in such way that it becomes intelligent. The more advanced the software the more intelligent is the AUV. Some of available algorithms and applications for this purpose are discussed in this paper.
Being a country with the fourth largest population in the world, but with an entrepreneur rate that only rank six at the ASEAN level, is a challenge for Indonesia. Entrepreneurship education plays an important role to increase entrepreneurial graduates of higher education. Global awareness of the importance of the role of entrepreneurship and innovation, in line with the growing awareness of higher education institutions, especially universities, to walk the entrepreneurial path. This study aims to form an entrepreneurial university model using a systems approach, where the university should not carry its own burden in carrying out the responsibilities of a third mission to help accelerate community development. The model produced using the Interpretive Structural Modelling (ISM) method describes the sub-elements as the driver factor that influence the transformation process towards an entrepreneurial university. The elements of the entrepreneurial university model are come from the elements in the entrepreneurial ecosystem. One of the results showed that in Indonesia, producing entrepreneurial graduates as entrepreneurs is a very important factor and will encourage other factors, such as product commercialization, patents, and realizing science and techno parks, as has been achieved by several leading universities in the world. Indonesia, the largest producer of palm oil, has been developed palm oil biodiesel as renewable energy in the last decade. Indonesia biodiesel development policies aim to increase domestic value added of palm oil product and reduce the reliance on fossil fuel. Indonesia has embarked on a co mprehensive palm oil biodiesel program since 2006 and targeted the 20% b iodiesel b lend (B20) in 2016. This art icle exp lores the strategy formulat ion by accommodate the stakeholder perspective in the problems and the solutions. This research analyzes the informat ion fro m in depth interview with biodiesel stakeholders (government, industry and researcher) in Indonesia by combine Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats (SWOT) analysis with a Multi Actor Analysis approach. The results show the problems of biodiesel develop ment are mainly on the high production cost due to high price of raw material, production technology and distribution infrastructure . The government policy, technology development and raw material supply are the driving forces of the biodiesel development in Indonesia. In the long term strategy, government of Indonesia should secure the biodiesel raw material, develop an environmental friendly technology in biodiesel processing, and accommodate any improvement idea fro m other stakeholders.
