This study aims to mapping the culture of information literacy on coastal communities in West Java region. While the urgency of this research is an effort to foster interest in reading the community, including in this case the people in the coastal areas should be the attention of all parties. The research method used in this study is the mix method (mix method) as a combination approach as an alternative to the use of a single method in a study. The mixed method will give better results because it has a wealth of data, because it can combine or combine. Based on the results of research conducted in the first stage it is known that the culture literasi community in the coastal area in general is still low. In addition, also support the regulation and legislation of local government or district government in the south coast of West Java, namely Sukabumi, Cianjur, Garut, Tasik and Pangandaran) in the effort to develop the culture of literasi in general is still low.
People must know how identify and search for credible health information. This study aimed to determine how information literacy activities prevented the spread of health information hoaxes on social media. This study used a qualitative approach and case study research methods. The collect research data through observation, interviews with 15 interviewees, and literature study techniques. The study results found that people obtained health information literacy by utilizing social media that is used daily. First, people recognized when they needed information, meaning they already understood when to search for information and knew what information to seek. Second, people can find information was performed in various ways, such as choosing a mass media portal that was easy to use, searching for specific information by including keywords or hashtags. Third, people evaluate the information found by knowing who made the information. Who disseminates the information? Are social media accounts trustworthy? Does the skill match the required information? Fourth, people use the obtained information effectively. People only chose the information that was suitable for what they felt and needed. Conclusion this research is people that who use social media must have information literacy expertise in finding health information so that avoid hoax information widely circulating today.
The research was conducted to the students of Al-Kausar Internat Junior high school as an example of school which has applied the concept of information literacy in one subject and Arrahman Junior high school as an example of school which has not applied the concept of information literacy yet. The aim of this research was to find out whether there is a significant differences between students' literacy ability in finishing task exercises from those school. The method used in this research was a descriptive comparative method to find out the differences between both of objects in this research. The data were collected through questionnaire, interviews, and library study. The respondents are 53 students selected through Proportionate stratified random sampling techniques. The findings show there is no significant differences between students of Alkautsar junior high school and Ar Rahman junior high school on their students' information literacy ability. However, from the output scores of mean view, Al Kautsar Junior high school has a larger score than Ar Rahman junior high school. Therefore, Alkautsar Junior high school students have a better information literacy ability compared to Ar Rahman Junior high school students.
This research is about the credibility of librarians with user loyalty in the UNISBA library. This study uses the credibility theory of Hovland, Janis, and Kelly (1993). The aim is to find out how the relationship between librarian credibility aspects is expertise, trustworthiness, and attractiveness with user loyalty. Samples from this study were members of the UNISBA library, with sampling techniques using quota sampling techniques. This study uses a correlational method with descriptive and inferential statistical analysis techniques using Pearson product moment test. Trend dunia saat ini berada pada posisi era informasi dan pengetahuan. Kecenderungan tersebut juga berperanguh pada bidang pekerjaan yang lebih mengutamakan proses berfikir untuk menyelesaikan masalah daripada produksi barang selayaknya era industri. Peneliti memiliki argumentasi bahwa hal yang sama terjadi dalam lingkup pekerjaan di sebuah perpustakaan. Fokus utama perpustakaan kini ada pada layanan informasi dan pengetahuan atau yang lebih kita kenal dengan sebutan layanan referensi. Oleh sebab itu penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memaparkan status pustakawan referensi sebagai knowledge worker dan kegiatan apa saja yang mereka lakukan. Metodologi literature review digunakan untuk menjawab pertanyaan penelitian sehingga didapat pemahaman yang komprehensif karena bersumber dari literatur yang sudah diterbitkan. Hasil literature review menunjukkan bahwa pustakawan referensi memiliki tugas utama menggali informasi yang ada dalam koleksi, menemukan isi intelektual kemudian mengubah menjadi pengetahuan yang berguna bagi pemustaka. Dari tugas inilah pustakawan bertindak sebagai pekerja pengetahuan. Proses mengidentifikasi isi koleksi hingga menjadi pengetahuan ini hanya dapat dilakukan oleh orang-orang yang berpengetahuan. Selain itu, pustakawan referensi memiliki tanggung-jawab untuk mentransfer kemampuan tersebut kepada pemustaka sehingga pemustaka memiliki pengetahuan baru untuk memecahkan masalah. Bekerja di perpustakaan yang notabene organisasi profesi semakin menguatkan posisi pustakawan sebagai knowledge worker. Kewajiban pustakawan referensi untuk memberi layanan pengetahuan yang kontinyu kepada masyarakat menjadikan pustakawan memiliki ragam kegiatan yang berkaitan dengan pengetahuan, salah satunya dikenal dengan istilah knowledge engagement service. Secara garis besar knowledge engagement service terbagi dalam knowledge brokering, knowledge readiness dan knowledge promotion. Pada knowledge brokering pustakawan bekerja sebagai perantara kebutuhan pengetahuan pemustaka dengan sumber infromasi yang dapat dijadikan pengetahuan baru bagi pemustaka. Knowledge readiness merupakan aktivitas pustakawan membimbing pemustaka agar menguasai literasi informasi. Pustakawan referensi juga melaksanakan knowledge promotion dengan cara membuat berbagai acara edukatif terbuka bagi masyarakat yang berguna untuk menstimuli pengunjung agar dapat menemukan pengetahuan dalam setiap kegiatan.
This study discusses the role of Puskesmas medical professionals as communicators in implementation of Indonesia Sehat program with a family approach. Indonesia Sehat program is one of the government programs to improve quality of life of Indonesian people, which is part of the 5th agenda of the Nawa Cita program. In implementing the program, good communication skills of Puskesmas medical professionals is needed to explain the health status and nutritional status of the Indonesian people. The purpose of this study was to find the important role of communication skills for Puskesmas medical professionals and the effectiveness of interpersonal communication in the family approach undertaken by Puskesmas medical professionals. The method used in this research is qualitative with a case study approach. The results of this study show that Puskesmas medical professionals should not treat their patients as clients in business matters, they must treat them with empathy and compassion by conducting good and effective communication for better health. <p>Tourism activities are one of Indonesia's advantages in the creative economy sector. Villages that have tourism potential and even tourism activities are referred to as tourist villages. In carrying out tourism activities, the management of both the government and the Kelompok Sadar Wisata (Pokdarwis) need to develop strategies to attract many tourists. Local culture is an unavoidable part of tourism activities in tourist villages. This research was conducted with the aim of knowing how the tourism development process in the Desa Wisata Edukasi Cisaat Ciater includes what tourism potential, principles of implementing culture-based tourism activities, public knowledge about culture and cultural tourism, cultural inheritance through culture experience, how cultural literacy plays a role in tourism and activities in Desa Wisata Edukasi Cisaat Ciater. The method used in this research is a qualitative research method with a case study. The results of this research show that Desa Wisata Edukasi Cisaat Ciater does not recognize the term cultural literacy, but in fact what has been implemented is cultural literacy. The selection of cultural tourism is used as an effort to preserve culture, develop local communities, including in terms of the economy, and increase tourist visits to Desa Wisata Edukasi Cisaat Ciater.</p>
