The aims of this research is to mapping the information literacy of the coastal community in Semarang. The mapping consists of the availability and absorption of sources of information, the pattern of society in using information and access to sources of information, and regulatory support for the city government. The second objective is to conduct information literacy mapping on women's groups in coastal communities, related to information on women's empowerment programs from the Semarang city government. In this study, there were four aspects that were mapped. The first aspect is planning activities, implementation activities, benefit taking, and evaluation. The research design used in this study is sequential exploratory, which is collecting and analyzing qualitative data then collecting and analyzing quantitative data. The research design used in this study is sequential exploratory, which consist of collecting and analyzing qualitative data followed by collecting and analyzing quantitative data. Data for this research collected in Mangunharjo Coastal Village, in Tugu City District, Semarang. Data collection is done through a focus group discussion and questionnaires, random sampling interview, and observation. The data analysis technique is done by combining quantitative analysis of data obtained from questionnaires and qualitative data analysis for data obtained from observations and, library study for mapping models. The results showed that the culture of information literacy in coastal communities in the study locations was good. In the first aspect, the availability and the use of information sources at the research location, it shows low score. Whereas in the second aspect, community activities in using information and access to sources of information, shows a bad condition. And in the third aspect, Semarang government regulation support for information literacy programs shows a good condition. Furthermore, the results of research information literacy in terms of women's empowerment programs, starting from the planning, implementation, benefit taking, and program evaluation phases, are categorized as positive.

Introduction. The level of public interest reading in West Java, especially in Pangandaran Regency is in the low category, this is due to the lack of facilities that support public interest reading. One of the efforts of West Java local government to increase the public interest reading is by distributing Kotak Literasi Cerdas services or Kolecer to several districts and cities in West Java, including in Pangandaran Regency. This study aims to analyze the effect of library services, namely Kotak Literasi Cerdas or Kolecer on public interest reading in Pangandaran Regency.Methodology. This research is a quantitative study that shows the effect of variable X (Kolecer service) to variable Y (public interest reading). The population in this study amounted to 500 people, with a sample of 50 respondents. The data was collected by distributing questionnaires and observation. Meanwhile, the data analysis technique used descriptive statistical analysis and intervention statistical analysis, namely correlational analysis and simple linear regression. Results and discussion. This study indicates that there is a moderate positive effect between Kolecer services and public interest reading, which is 25.2%. In addition, several facilities from Kotak Literasi Cerdas service get an average mean value of 4.28.Conclusion. Reading interest influenced by the accessibility to books and other reading maerials. One of the public services offered is Kotak Literasi Cerdas which has proven to help communities build their reading interest.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tantangan literasi informasi pada masyarakat yang tinggal di kawasan pesisir Kota Semarang. Tantangan tersebut meliputi keterserapan sumber informasi, akses sumber informasi, dan regulasi pemerintah. Tujuan kedua adalah mengetahui tantangan literasi informasi pada kelompok perempuan dalam masyarakat pesisir, terkait dengan informasi program pemberdayaan perempuan dari pemerintah Kota Semarang. Literasi informasi program pemberdayaan memiliki beberapa tantangan, meliputi literasi informasi pada perencanaan program, literasi informasi pada pelaksanaan program, literasi informasi pada pengambilan manfaat program, dan literasi informasi pada evaluasi program. Disain penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah participatory action research yaitu u pengumpulan dan analisis yang disertai proses dialog antar obyek penelitian. Lokasi penelitian dilakukan di Kelurahan Mangkang Wetan Kecamatan Tugu Kota Semarang. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui pengisian kuesioner, wawancara, dan focus group discussion kepada obyek penelitian yang dipilih melalui random sampling. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, tantangan literasi informasi masyarakat pesisir adalah serapan informasi yang rendah, kuantitas sumber informasi yang sedikit, dan kekerungan terkait sumber informasi. Selanjutnya, masyarakat di lokasi penelitian telah menunjukkan keberhasilan dalam mengatasi tantangan literasi informasi dalam program pemberdayaan perempuan, mulai dari tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengambilan manfaat, dan evaluasi program.
