Epiphyte fern plants are fern plants that grow attached to the phorophyte tree. Existence of fern plants are effected by tree bark and environmental condition in which they grow. This research aimed to study the species composition, important value index, diversity index, evenness index, and similarity index of epiphyte fern plants in the Curug Lawe Waterfall Region Semarang District. This research was conducted on 5 research stations i.e. clove plantations area (CPA), irrigation canal (IC), mixed forest (MF), river flow (RF), and waterfall area (WA). The research used plot technique with plot size 10 m x 10 m. The results showed 11 species of epiphyte fern from 8 families were found. The highest important value index is obtained by Goniophlebium serratifolium. The diversity index of epiphyte fern plants are categorized as low and moderate. The evenness index of epiphyte fern plants are categorized as not evenly distributed, quite evenly distributed, and almost evenly distributed. The highest similarity index is in irrigation canal (IC) and river flow (RF). Environmental conditions in Curug Lawe Waterfall Region are suitable for epiphyte fern plants habitat. This research is novel as it provides some information about the community structure of epiphyte ferns in Curug Lawe Waterfall Region and to engage all peoples to maintain our biodiversity keep sustainable.
Empowerment of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME), requires model empowerment, which includes increasing existing MSME to be more advanced in order to be able to compete tightly in free market competition. Since ancient times, empon empon has been proven to have medicinal properties as herbal medicine, which is not only used as a medicine but also as a beauty treatment. One of the MSME that processes empon-empon into instant herbal medicine is Tiga Dara MSME which is located at Jalan Urip Sumoharjo No. 45 East Ungaran Subdistrict, Semarang Regency. Instant herbal powders produced by UD Tiga Dara include instant powders of Ginger, Turmeric, Temulawak, Mahkota Dewa, Kencur etc. The importance of maintaining body immunity during the COVID-19 pandemic is closely related to the availability of instant herbal powder products with empon-empon raw materials, especially ginger. During this pandemic, the demand for instant herbal medicine powder has increased, but Tiga Dara MSME still have limitations in the sales system. The method used in this community service is in the form of training and mentoring MSME in making web and social media as a means of marketing instant herbal powder products. This service aims to assist MSME in marketing their products in order to improve the economy of Tiga Dara MSME. With the existence of the Web and social media as one of the media for product marketing, it is hoped that it can increase sales from MSME and can improve the community's economy so that it can achieve community welfare.
Gedong Songo Temple Region is one of tourism destination place in Semarang District that has high biodiversity, especially fern plants (Pteridophytes) species diversity. This study aims to determine the species diversity, species abundance, and environmental factor in the Gedong Songo Temple Region. The procedure of collecting fern sample was used cruise method by tracking from entrance to exit.Every kind of ferns species were obtained, the name of species was labeled, and total individuals of every species were counted. Every ferns species were identified and collected as herbarium. The result recorded 18 species that categorized as 11 families. Abundant ferns species are Gleichenia linearis, Histiopteris incisa, Lycopodium cernuum, dan Nephrolepis sp. Environmental factors in the Gedong Songo Temple are temperature has range 22°C - 27°C, humidity has range 58% - 74%, soil pH has range 6,8 - 7,2, and altitude has range 1.325 m - 1.396 m.
