The study of the effectiveness of madrasah has become the concern of Indonesia's education system to compete both nationally and internationally. This study belonged to a correlational research design to determine and measure the level of influence between variables, such as principals' managerial skills, supervision of learning, school culture, and teacher performance. This research was carried out at the Madrasah Aliyah Negeri (Islamic Senior High School) in Tulungagung, East Java, Indonesia. The research questionnaire was distributed to 213 teachers to dig out their perceptions on the principle's managerial skill, learning supervision, school culture, and teachers' performance. The distributed questionnaires were only responded and returned by 185 teachers. The data taken from 185 teachers were analyzed using the PLS SMART program. The result of the analysis revealed that the principals' managerial skills, the implementation of learning supervision, the formation of school culture, and teachers' performance affected the school's effectiveness. School effectiveness would be realized well if the school principals had good managerial skills to carry out the supervision of learning, create a strong school culture, and improve teacher performance effectively.
Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan manajemen peningkatan mutu pembelajaran berbasis karakter dengan sistem full day school (FDS). Agar tujuan tersebut bisa tercapai dengan baik maka digunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan rancangan studi multikasus di madrasah dan sekolah unggul di Kabupaten Tulungagung dan Kabupaten Blitar. Data digali dari kepala sekolah, guru, tenaga kependidikan, dan siswa dengan teknik snowball sampling. Data yang terkumpul dianalisis secara kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) perencanaan peningkatan mutu pembelajaran berbasis karakter didasarkan pada kurikulum nasional, kurikulum sekolah, program-program unggulan sekolah, dan kegiatan ekstrakurikuler dengan sistem integrated curriculum; (2) pelaksanaan peningkatan mutu pembelajaran berbasis karakter dilaksanakan berdasarkan komitmen untuk mencapai visi, misi, dan tujuan sekolah dengan sistem pembelajaran aktif, mengintegrasikan nilai-nilai karakter dalam proses pembelajaran, dan adanya intervensi dan habituasi dalam penanaman nilai-nilai karakter kepada siswa; dan (3) evaluasi dan pengendalian mutu pembelajaran berbasis karakter dilaksanakan dengan sistem authentic assessment.Kata Kunci: manajemen peningkatan mutu, pembelajaran berbasis karakter, full day schoolQUALITY IMPROVEMENT MANAGEMENT OF CHARACTER BASED LEARNING WITH FULL DAY SCHOOL (FDS) SYSTEM Abstract: This study aims to describe the quality improvement management of character based learning with Full Day School (FDS) system. The results showed that: (1) planning for the quality improvement of learning based character was based on the national curriculum, school curriculum, superior school programs, and extracurricular activities with integrated curriculum system; (2) the implementation of the quality improvement of learning based character was carried out based on commitment to achieve the vision, mission, and goals of the school with an active learning system, integrating character values in the learning process, and the existence of interventions and habituations the core values character at school; and (3) evaluation and control of the quality improvement of learning based character carried out with authentic assessment systemsKeywords: quality improvement management, learning based character, full day school
The challenge faced by Islamic higher education in the global era at this time is to improve the quality and competitiveness of higher education so that it is sought after by the education user community. The quality and competitiveness of higher education must be promoted and marketed to the wider community so that it can be known and sought after by the education user community. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of experiential marketing factors on the competitiveness of Islamic higher education in Indonesia. This study uses a quantitative research design with a survey technique of teaching staff. The survey was conducted on 200 educational staff of Islamic higher educations in East Java, Indonesia. Data were collected using a questionnaire and analyzed using SEM AMOS. Hypothesis test results indicate that there is no effect between factor sense and feel marketing on the competitiveness of Islamic Higher Education in Indonesia and there is a significant effect between think, act, and relate marketing factors on the competitiveness of Islamic higher education in Indonesia. The better in implementing think, act, and related marketing can improve the competitiveness of Islamic Universities. These variable conditions need to be improved in implementing experiential marketing education so that universities are increasingly in demand by stakeholders.
The article proposes strategies to build the nation character of students. It follows three stages. The first is socializing the accepted religious values to be implemented in the school. The second is implementing the values systematically for all components in the school. The third is giving rewards for those successfully implementing them. The strategies are done by education practitioners through providing examples, forming good habits, encouraging, and rewarding. In addition, forming religious values at school can be conducted through power strategy, persuasive strategy, normative re-educative strategy. Key words: Religious culture, Nation character
This research aims to describe visionary leadership, lecturer performance, and academic culture in improving the competitiveness of Islamic tertiary institutions in Indonesia. Quality and highly competitive education is a problem faced by the majority of educational institutions in Indonesia. Leadership is thought to be able to create performance and academic culture in achieving the vision and mission of the institution and be able to meet the expectations of the community and education stakeholders. In order to achieve these objectives properly, a quantitative research approach with survey design was used. The questionnaire that has been tested for validity and reliability is used as a tool in exploring the data needed in research. This research was conducted in several Islamic Higher Educations in Indonesia, with a population of 35,705 students. The questionnaire was filled by 1135 students who were sampled in this study with random sampling techniques. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and path analysis. The results showed that visionary leadership, lecturer performance, academic culture, had a significant contribution to the competitiveness of Islamic Higher Education in East Java. This finding has the implication that the better visionary leadership in higher education, the better the performance of lecturers and academic culture and institutional competitiveness. The better the performance of lecturers, the better the academic culture and competitiveness of the institution. This finding shows that visionary leadership is the key to success in improving the quality and competitiveness of educational institutions in the global era.
Pandemi covid 19 memberikan pengaruh yang besar dalam dunia pendidikan terutama lingkup SD/MI. Pembelajaran diharuskan dilaksanakan secara daring. Melalui penelitian ini, peneliti melakukan analisis pelaksanaan pembelajaran daring motivasi belajar dan lingkungan belajar terhadap prestasi belajar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana prestasi belajar siswa di Era Covid 19 jika ditinjau dari pembelajaran daring, motivasi belajar dan lingkungan belajar. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian kuantitatif jenis survai. Populasi penelitian ini adalah siswa MI Se-Kecamatan Sumbergempol Tulungagung yang berjumlah 1963 siswa. Sedangkan sampel yang diambil menggunakan teknik cluster sampling berjumlah 294 siswa. Perolehan data dengan cara menyebar kuesioner kepada responden dan data nilai rapot. Analisis data menggunakan regresi linier berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya pengaruh yang positif dan signifikan pembelajaran daring, motivasi belajar, dan lingkungan belajar terhadap prestasi belajar siswa. Temuan ini mengungkapkan bahwa prestasi belajar akan meningkat apabila pembelajaran daring yang dilaksanakan oleh guru diterima siswa dan mampu memberikan layanan pembelajaran yang menjangkau siswa dimanapun dan kapanpun serta didukung oleh motivasi intrinsik dan ekstrinsik maupun keadaan lingkungan sekitar siswa yang kondusif.
