Abstract-A meaningful science teaching focuses on reconstructing knowledge and experience. One way for reconstructing knowledge is by using science process skill. It is an ability of students to solve problems. This research aimed to measure science process skills of first grade students at Biology Education Department. This research was descriptive research involving all of first grade students in Biology Department in academic year 2016/2017. The results showed that the easiest aspect for basic skill was measuring data and the most difficult aspects were classifying and inferring data. The easiest aspect for integrated skill was making data for investigation and the most difficult aspect were analyze investigation and identifying of variables.
Validasi produk penting dilakukan untuk mengidentifikasi kekurangan ataupun kesalahan dari hasil pengembangan produk. Selanjutnya hasil pengembangan produk perlu dilakukan perbaikan dari aspek relevansi, akurasi, kebahasaan, dan proses pembelajarannya. Produk yang dikembangkan adalah buku ilmiah digital tentang keanekaragaman tumbuhan semak di areal reklamasi pertambangan batubara. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan validitas dari buku ilmiah digital sebagai materi penunjang konsep Keanekaragaman Hayati (khusus Sekolah Menengah Atas, kelas X). Bahan penyusunan buku ilmiah digital adalah tumbuhan semak pada plot permanen di areal reklamasi pertambangan batubara PT Adaro Indonesia (di Kalimantan Selatan). Pengembangan buku ilmiah digital menggunakan model Borg and Gall (1983). Buku ilmiah digital termasuk sangat valid (skor 3,66) dan hasil keterbacaan yang sangat baik (skor 3,21). Buku ilmiah digital secara prosedural dan teoritis layak digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran. Kualitas produk pengembangan termasuk sangat baik.
Sekolah dengan sistem homeschooling membantu siswa meraih akademik dan interaksi sosial. Implementasi pembelajaran dapat meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir analisis dan komunikasi setiap siswa, Salah satu cara yang tepat untuk menerapkan CIRC. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan analisis dan komunikasi siswa kelas XI Homeschooling. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas dengan subjek adalah siswa homeschooling. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Indikator kemampuan untuk menganalisis dan berkomunikasi dikembangkan. Hasil penelitian adalah 1) Model CIRC dapat meningkatkan keterampilan analitis siswa di kelas XI IPA. Rata-rata siklus 1 adalah 71 dan siklus 2 adalah 76,83, tetapi hanya satu siswa yang dikategorikan lulus sesuai dengan standar yang ditetapkan. 2) keterampilan komunikasi dikategorikan baik.
This study aims to describe the scientific attitude of students who took Plant Botany I course and to study scientific attitudes among male and female students. The study used a survey method for students whom participating in the Plant Botany I course listed on 2017/2018 academic year as many as 54 students. Data was obtained through questionnaires and observations of scientific attitudes during the course. The data was analyzed quantitatively and qualitatively according to the description. From the results of the study, it was shown that discovery is the highest score for scientific aspect and there is a difference of scientific attitude among male and female students in Plant Botany I course.
