<p class="5abstrak">Lemahnya argumentasi ilmiah mahasiswa dalam pembelajaran telah banyak menjadi perhatian, terutama dalam hal mengevaluasi dan mengkonstrak permasalahan dan solusinya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana profil keterampilan argumentasi ilmiah mahasiswa pada mata kuliah Anatomi Tumbuhan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif untuk mendapatkan gambaran keterampilan argumentasi mahasiswa semester 3 di Prodi Pendidikan Biologi FKIP UNS melalui tugas tertulis yang diberikan. Penilaian argumentasi mahasiswa mengacu pada Toulmin’s Argumentation Pattern (TAP) yang memuat komponen <em>claim, evidence, reasoning dan rebuttal</em>. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan argumentasi ilmiah mahasiswa Pendidikan Biologi FKIP UNS masih tergolong rendah, dibuktikan dengan skor rerata <em>claim</em> sebesar 52%, <em>evidence</em> sebesar 42%, <em>reasoning</em> sebesar 15% dan <em>rebuttal</em> sebesar 10%. Temuan ini akan dijadikan dasar bagi penelitian lanjutan mengenai model dan strategi pembelajaran inovatif yang dapat meningkatkan kemampuan argumentasi dan penalaran ilmiah terutama bagi calon guru biologi.</p>
Jenis penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui karakteristik, kelayakan dan efektifitas E-modul sistem pernapasan berbasis inkuiri terbimbing untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa. Model pengembangan yang digunakan adalah penelitian dan pengembangan (RND) yang mengacu pada model pengembagan Borg and Gall yang sudah dimodifikasi dan disesuaikan dengan kondisi di lapangan, yang terdiri dari sembilan tahap, yaitu: 1) Research and informating collecting, 2). Planning, 3) develop preliminary form of product, 4) preliminary feed testing, 5) main product revision, 6) main field testing, 7) operational product revision, 8) operational field testing, 9) e-modul final product. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis deskriptif yang digunakan untuk menggambarkan karakteristik e-modul yang akan dikembangkan, analisis kelayakan e-modul berdasarkan skor N-gain yang diperoleh. Hasil uji N-gain skor pada kelas kontrol yaitu 0,65 termasuk dalam kategori sedang, sedangkan untuk kelas eksperimen mendapatkan hasil rata – rata N-gain skor sebesar 0,78 termasuk dalam kategori tinggi. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, E-modul berbasis inkuiri terbimbing sangat layak untuk digunakan dalam pembelajaran dan terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa.
<p class="5abstrak"><span lang="EN-GB">This research is aim to find out the different comprehension of human respiration system concept in the Novick type of constructivism learning with concept map and the varied lecturing learning. This study was a quasi-experimental research using Post-test Only With Nonequivalent Groups research design. The sampling technique used was Cluster Sampling one. </span><span lang="EN-GB">The populations of this research were all of 11th degree students of science at SMA Negeri 2 Karanganyar in academic year 2012/2013. The samples of this research were the students of 11th Imersi I as experiment group and 11th Imersi II as control group.</span><span lang="EN-GB"> Technique of collecting data used was a multiple choice test with reasoning, essay test, and observation sheet. The hypothesis testing was carried out using t-test. The conclusion of research that there isn’t different comprehension of human respiratory system concept between the Novick type of constructivism learning with concept map and the varied lecturing learning.</span></p>
The GABA and ethanolic extract of A. altilis leaves with a minimum dose of 400 mg k-1 b.wt., can be used as an antidiabetic. Pancreas is the target organ was affected by GABA and A. altilis leaves as antidiabetic agents. Results of this study may support the development of research on the potency of GABA in natural materials as antidiabetic particularly type 1 diabetes.
The objective of this study is to determine the impact of the Picture and Picture application integrated with Guided Note Taking (GNT) on students' biology learning achievement by optimizing teaching aids. The study is categorized as a quasi-experiment. The research design used is Post-test Only Control Group Design with group experiment, which implements Picture and Picture application coupled with Guided Note Taking (GNT) through the optimization of the use of teaching aids, and control group, which implements discussion technique, speech, and presentation. The population of the research is students of class XI IPA (grade 11 in Natural Science) from Public Senior High School (SMA N) 2 Boyolali. The sample in the research is students of class XI IPA 4 as the experiment group and students of class XI IPA 3 as the control group. Cluster random sampling was used to collect the sample. Multiple-choice tests, questionnaires, observation forms, and documentation are used to collect data. The t-test was used to test the hypothesis. This study concludes that Picture and Picture application integrated with Guided Note Taking (GNT) through the optimization of teaching aids utilization affects students' biology learning achievement in cognitive, affective, and psychomotor domains.
