This is a qualitative evaluation study, which elaborated and validated the logic model of the School Health Program. Data collection occurred in meetings with seven administration officers in a participative manner, using a script with open questions.

This study aimed to discuss the contribution of the social network methodological framework in nursing care delivered to women who breastfeed their children up to six months of age. This qualitative study aimed to elaborate the social network map of 20 women through tape-recorded interview. Social network analysis evidenced a 'strong' bond between these women and members from their primary network, especially friends, neighbors, mothers or with the child's father, who were reported as the people most involved in the breastfeeding period. The contribution of this framework to nursing practice is discussed, especially in care and research processes. We believe that nurses' appropriation of this framework can be an important support for efficacious actions, as well as to favor a broader perspective on the social context people experience.

É inquestionável o valor do leite materno como fonte nutricional exclusiva para a criança nos primeiros seis meses de vida, onde dentre vários benefícios evidencia-se a prevenção da morbi-mortalidade infantil. Este estudo teve como objetivos: avaliar a prevalência do aleitamento materno e analisar os fatores associados à prática da amamentação em uma Creche Comunitária. Método: A abordagem metodológica foi de natureza quantitativa, sendo o estudo do tipo seccional realizado com 46 mães de crianças menores de dois anos. Os dados foram coletados no período de junho a julho de 2013 e analisados com o auxílio do programa SPSS versão 19 (Statistical Package for the Social Sciences). A associação entre as variáveis foi investigada com os testes: quiquadrado, exato de Fischer, razão de prevalência e considerou-se o intervalo de confiança de 95%. Os resultados mostraram que a prevalência do aleitamento materno exclusivo (AME) foi de 34,8% e de aleitamento materno (AM) foi de 57,1%. Os principais motivos referidos pelas mães para o desmame precoce foram: necessidade de trabalhar (26,1%), orientações de familiares ou profissionais de saúde (19,6%), problemas de saúde materna (19,6%) e recusa da criança (19,6%). Não foram observadas associações entre os fatores determinantes da prática da amamentação das crianças da creche estudada. Conclui-se que as prevalências de AME e de AM apresentaram-se abaixo do esperado pela Organização Mundial de Saúde e que o conhecimento dos fatores associados à amamentação pode constituir em um importante subsídio para a implementação de ações voltadas para a promoção, proteção e apoio ao aleitamento materno.

Objective: To analyze the needs of pre-adolescents with type 1 diabetes regarding self-care support for disease management. Method: Qualitative study conducted between October and December 2016 with pre-adolescents seen at a hospital outpatient clinic and at Family Health Units; semi-structured interviews were used. Data were analyzed using a thematic analysis based on the theoretical basis of self-care support. Results: Nine pre-adolescents participated in the study. It was identified that in order to build self-efficacy, pre-adolescents need to overcome the disease denial phase, know how to handle feelings triggered by the need for lifestyle changes, receive support from their families and social networks, and have the self-awareness and self-perception needed to feel secure in managing their diabetes. Conclusion: The intrinsic challenges of adolescence and the way pre-adolescents with diabetes handle the disease have an influence on diabetes management and create needs that must be appreciated by health care professionals in order to provide self-care support.

Objective: The aim of this study was to understand the influence of women's social network during the breastfeeding process. Methods:Qualitative research was conducted, based on Alfred Schütz's phenomenological sociology framework and Sanicola's social network approach, at a primary health care unit in Monza -Italy. Eleven women were interviewed using semi-structured interviews. Results: Three categories were found through comprehensive analysis: routine family support, professional counseling to overcome difficulties and understanding and support perspective. Social network members who had the highest influence on the decision to breastfeed and to maintain it were: husbands, participants' mothers, friends and nurses. The relationship with these members meant assistance, counseling and expectations for understanding and support. Conclusion: Knowledge of the social network of these women is an important resource for health professionals to seek interaction and strengthening of this network as well as to provide more effective actions for breastfeeding promotion, protection and support. resumen Objetivo: Este estudio tuvo como objetivo comprender la influencia de la red social de las mujeres durante la lactancia. Metodos:Investigación cualitativa basada en el marco de la fenomenología social de Alfred Schutz y el enfoque de red social de Sanicola, realizada en una unidad de atención primaria a la salud de Monza -Italia. Once mujeres fueron entrevistados mediante entrevistas semiestructuradas. Resultados: En el análisis global se reveló tres categorías: apoyo a la familia em la vida cotidiana, consejo profesional para superar las dificultades y perspectivas de comprensión y apoyo. Los miembros de la red social que más influyó en la decisión y la lactancia materna fueron: marido, madre, amigos y enfermera. La relación con éstos significó ayuda, orientación y la expectativa de comprensión y apoyo. Conclusión: El conocimiento de la red social es un importante subsidio para que los profesionales de la salud puedan buscan la interacción y el fortalecimiento de esta red así como proporcionar una promoción más eficaz, protección y apoyo de la lactancia materna.

O presente trabalho é um estudo descritivo, que objetivou identificar as características sociodemográficas e de saúde de mães e as condições de saúde de crianças atendidas pelos enfermeiros na Estratégia de Acolhimento Mãe e Bebê em uma Unidade Básica de Saúde do Estado de Rio de Janeiro. Os dados foram coletados em 421 prontuários das crianças atendidas em uma Unidade Básica em 2009. Realizou-se a análise univariada dos dados com uso do software "Epi-info" versão 3.5. Os resultados mostraram que: 70,6% das mães estavam na faixa etária de 20 até 35 anos, 58,2% haviam realizado parto normal, 5,0% apresentaram alteração na cicatriz cirúrgica, e 23,8%, alteração nas mamas. O companheiro e a avó materna foram os membros da rede social que mais forneceram apoio no pós-parto. Com relação aos recém-nascidos 52,5% tinham até 7 dias de vida, 90,3% encontravam-se em aleitamento materno exclusivo, 16,2% apresentavam icterícia, e 3,8% apresentaram alteração no coto umbilical. Conclui-se que a avaliação do grupo escolhido proporciona informações importantes para que os enfermeiros possam apoiar eficientemente as mães nos cuidados com os recém-nascidos, o que contribui à formação do vínculo das mães com este profissional, além da adoção de práticas de promoção da saúde.

ABSTRACT:The aim of this study was to analyze the profile of consumption of psychoactive substances in the past three months and their association with sociodemographic variables. A cross-sectional study was conducted with users of the Family Health Strategy in the perspective of the brief intervention, in the city of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The sample included 1,489 users of the service interviewed throughout a year. The consumption of substances was assessed through the questionnaire Alcohol, Smoking and Substance Involvement Screening Test. Statistical analysis was developed using the software SPSS. The highest prevalence rates in the past three months were found in the male subsample for use of tobacco (56.4%), alcoholic drinks (75.8%), cannabis (16.9%), and cocaine/crack (10.1%). Religion and educational level appear as an important protective factor against the use of drugs. A prevalence of consumption of psychoactive substances among the users of this area within the scope of work of nurses was evidenced. DESCRIPTORS:Primary health care. Alcohol drinking. Tobacco. La religión y la escolaridad emergen como importante factor para el uso de drogas. Se evidenció una prevalencia del consumo de sustancias psicoactivas, de la clientela atendida en esta área en el ámbito de la práctica del enfermero. Objectives:To identify the knowledge and practice of primary care nurses about the social network approach for fa milies of children with chronic diseases. Methods: Qualitative research, conducted by means of interviews with 23 family health nurses, from one municipality in Paraíba and one in Rio de Janeiro, from June to July of 2017. The data were interpreted using thematic analysis. Results: Social network meant institutional support offered by services outside the unit, and socioeconomic problems involved the family context. In practice, nurses find it difficult to provide comprehensive care and establish ties with families. When referring to other professionals, a weakness in the counter-referral to the family health unit is found. Final considerations: Some gaps were found regarding the knowledge and practice of nurses regarding the social network approach, which requires professional training to strengthen social relationships and the necessary support for families of children with chronic diseases.
