Objective: translate and validate to Portuguese the Scale of Student Satisfaction and Self-Confidence in Learning. Material and Methods: methodological translation and validation study of a research tool. After following all steps of the translation process, for the validation process, the event III Workshop Brazil - Portugal: Care Delivery to Critical Patients was created, promoted by one Brazilian and another Portuguese teaching institution. Results: 103 nurses participated. As to the validity and reliability of the scale, the correlation pattern between the variables, the sampling adequacy test (Kaiser-Meyer-Olkin) and the sphericity test (Bartlett) showed good results. In the exploratory factorial analysis (Varimax), item 9 behaved better in factor 1 (Satisfaction) than in factor 2 (Self-confidence in learning). The internal consistency (Cronbach's alpha) showed coefficients of 0.86 in factor 1 with six items and 0.77 for factor 2 with 07 items. Conclusion: in Portuguese this tool was called: Escala de Satisfação de Estudantes e Autoconfiança na Aprendizagem. The results found good psychometric properties and a good potential use. The sampling size and specificity are limitations of this study, but future studies will contribute to consolidate the validity of the scale and strengthen its potential use.

Method:integrative literature review, using the method proposed by the Joanna Briggs Institute (JBI). A search was undertaken in the following databases: Latin American and Caribbean Health Sciences Literature, Web of Science, National Library of Medicine, Cumulative Index to Nursing and Allied Health Literature, The Cochrane Library, Scopus, Scientific Electronic Library Online. Results:53 studies were analyzed, which complied with the established inclusion criteria. Among the different gains obtained, satisfaction, self-confidence, knowledge, empathy, realism, reduced level of anxiety, comfort, communication, motivation, capacity for reflection and critical thinking and teamwork stand out. Conclusion:the evidence demonstrates the great possibilities to use dramatization in the context of clinical simulation, with gains in the different health areas, as well as interprofessional gains.
OBJECTIVE: validate an assessment instrument of nursing students' satisfaction with simulated clinical experiences. METHOD: a 17-item scale was applied to students from the Teaching Diploma Program in Nursing, after a set of simulated clinical experiences. Factorial analysis with orthogonal varimax rotation was used, and the internal consistency was estimated to determine the validity of the scale. RESULTS: in a sample of 181 students, we found a high correlation between practically all items and the total scale, with an Alpha coefficient of 0.914. The scale items were divided in three factors: practical dimension, realism dimension and cognitive dimension, with good internal consistency coefficients of 0.89; 0.88 and 0.73, respectively. CONCLUSION: the scale complies with the validity requisites, revealing a high potential for use in research.
Objective:To develop a theoretical-practical script based on the opinion of experts to be used in simulated clinical activities. Method: Qualitative study through analysis of content of interviews with experts on the theme in order to develop the proposed script. Of the 24 invited experts, 12 specialists from educational institutions in Brazil and abroad participated in the study in compliance with the ethical precepts. The experts responded to questions on the characterization of their study attributes and described the items required for the development of a simulated scenario. In view of the responses obtained, data content was analyzed and classified into units and subunits of significance. Results: The items mentioned for the development of the script generated seven units of significance. The units and subunits of significance were gathered in three stages of the main components of the simulated scenario: prior, preparation, and finals. Conclusion: This study enables an innovative, stimulating teaching experience, making it easier for professors to use the simulation resource as a learning process in an effective and objective manner, as a guide to professors and researchers in the area of clinical simulation.
Objective: to translate and validate to Portuguese the Debriefi ng Experience Scale jointly with individuals that used highfi delity simulation in learning. Method: methodological and exploratory study for an instrument translation and validation. For the validation process, the event "III Workshop Brazil -Portugal: Care Delivery to Critical Patients" was created. Results: 103 nurses attended. Validity and reliability of the scale, the correlation pattern among variables, the sampling adequacy test, and the sphericity test showed good results. Since there was no relationship among the groups established in the exploratory factor analysis, the option was to follow the division established by the original version. Conclusion: the version of the instrument was called Escala de Experiência com o Debriefi ng. The results showed good psychometric properties and a good potential for use. However, further studies will contribute to consolidate the validity of the scale and strengthen its potential use.
Background and objective: Debriefing is a strategy that allows participants to explore, analyze and synthesize their thinking processes, emotional status and other aspects in a simulated experience with a view to improving their performance in real-life situations. The aim of this study was to analyze the students' perceptions of structured debriefing. Methods: A qualitative study was conducted with a sample of 22 final-year students of an undergraduate nursing degree. A voluntary, anonymous and confidential questionnaire was used. Content was analyzed based on Bardin's methodology. Results: Five categories emerged from content analysis: concept, attributes, cognitive impact, psychosocial impact, and affective impact. These categories were grouped into two dimensions: 'Perceptions of Structured Debriefing' and 'Impact of Structured Debriefing on the Students'. Several suggestions emerged, such as the continuity of use and application to other contexts. Conclusions: Students perceived structured debriefing as an interactive method which allows them to consolidate and systemize their knowledge, reflect individually and collectively on the activities, and structure their ideas. They also mentioned that it enabled them to be more comfortable to ask questions and establish a closer relationship with their colleagues, facilitating communication and improving their skills.
