As more and more adults in Ukraine and other countries continue to study throughout their lives and may acquire more than one qualification, the average age of students of higher education institutions is increasing, and therefore the foreign language learning at university should be organised in the same way as with working adults. In this regard, it is important to understand that a modern student is an adult learner who has a number of characteristic features that distinguish him/her from a child as a learner and thus should be considered in the learning process. Digital marketing has changed a lot over the past 10 years. Traffic and leads have risen in price. The business has focused on inbound marketing. It was necessary to learn how to work on retention, and not on attracting new customers. In this regard, a whole direction of marketing automation (marketing automation) has appeared. Special sales tunnels or the so-called auto-funnels are created along which the customer is led. Thus, the logical chain of content consumption is built. The market for travel services was no exception. Many travel industry companies use algorithms in messengers and email marketing, which lead potential leads, leading them to the first and repeated purchases. In the article, the authors developed the stages of the architecture of the automatic sales tunnel. All stages are described in detail and examples are given for the tourism and hospitality.
article outlines the general principles of the presented approach based on involuntary memorisation which is opposed to the voluntary one. The author substantiates the choice of proverb-type phraseological units (PTPU) as the material of the study arguing that the said units provide favourable conditions required for the involuntary memorisation efficiency, such as vivid emotional background, students' active involvement and their interest which may contribute to the successful development and retaining of the corresponding valeological notions and beliefs. The paper contains some examples out of the selected 300 PTPU in eight notional categories (ranging from the 'healthy way of life' and 'money can't buy you health' to 'don't worry, be happy') that may play an essential role in the valeological culture development while teaching English to schoolchildren. The author presents his arguments in favour of translation, being a hermeneutic activity, to be used as the main tool to accomplish tasks related to the selected material. The paper provides the results of the original experiment which proved that the tasks offered to the subjects stimulated their creative and mental activities, as well as contributed to the formation of their positive attitude towards the learning process. According to the results obtained through the subjects' questioning, the average indicator of their positive attitude amounted to 4.5 out of 5,0 maximum possible.
In a completely new reality of the Covid-19 pandemic, when educational institutions are closed due to quarantine, it is often challenging for teachers to decide which of the wide variety of educational technologies may be most appropriate for their students and best address their learning needs. With this in mind we aim to share our experience of using MOOCs (Massive Open Online Courses) as remote learning tool for teaching English for Specific Purposes (ESP) at university and make a particular focus on students' attitudes to studying them in quarantine so that necessary adaptations and changes could be made to enhance the learning process. The positive attitudes of the students to learning MOOCs, expressed by them in the survey, testify to the appropriateness of their use in ESP instruction during quarantine. However, since students pointed to the limited possibilities of communication between learners and lack of ability to get help from the teacher or peers, we find it appropriate to use video conferencing technologies as additional learning tools besides MOOC to compensate for these limitations and address students' needs more fully.
