Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk memeriksa apakah neurotisisme, kelebihan informasi, invasion of life, dan kecemasan memengaruhi social media fatigue pada mahasiswa yang belajar di rumah karena pandemi COVID-19. Partisipan penelitian ini berjumlah 639 orang mahasiswa dari kawasan Jabodetabek dan beberapa kota lain yang aktif menggunakan media sosial sebagai sarana belajar di rumah dan juga mencari dan menerima berbagai informasi. Teknik analisis utama yang digunakan adalah regresi hierarkis. Hasil penelitian memperlihatkan bahwa secara bertahap masing-masing variabel seperti neurotisisme, kelebihan informasi, invasion of life dan kecemasan memiliki pengaruh terhadap terjadinya social media fatigue pada mahasiswa. Namun demikian pada tahap terakhir ketika kecemasan dipertimbangkan dalam perhitungan maka neurotisisme menjadi tidak berpengaruh. Hasil penelitian ini juga menunjukkan besarnya pengaruh kelebihan informasi terhadap social media fatigue dan lebih rentannya kelompok mahasiswa pria untuk mengalami social media fatigue saat belajar di rumah selama pandemi COVID-19.

<span lang="EN-US">Instagram addiction is a social phenomenon among adolescents that has been scantily researched. This study aims to empirically examine the effect of type D personality (social disinhibition and negative affectivity), self-esteem, and fear of missing out (FoMO) on Instagram addiction among teenagers. A total of 259 participants, type D personalities with severe Instagram addiction who live in Jakarta Greater Area obtained through screening results (based on their total scores). This research used snowball sampling dan regression techniques for data collection and analysis. Data analysis showed that all predictors affected 56.9% of Instagram addiction cases. Partially, it is known that only negative affectivity (one of type D personality factors) has no influence on Instagram addiction, which means that, the role of pure internal factors such as personality type D is not as significant as the combination of both external and internal factors such as fear of missing out and self-esteem in influencing Instagram addiction.</span>

One result of the COVID-19 pandemic for the wider community, especially employees, is the need to carry out physical distancing in the form of work from home. This phenomenon certainly has consequences on the quality of life felt by employees. The purpose of this study was to determine whether the quality of life of employees who work from home is influenced by variables such as type D personality, anxiety, technology overload, and work-life balance. Participants in this study were 486 employees living in Jakarta Greater Area who worked from home because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Participants were recruited by purposive sampling using online questionnaire. Measurements were made using a measuring tool from each variable using a quantitative approach. Hierarchical regression is used as a data analysis technique. The findings of this research show that all independent variables have an influence on quality of life. However, anxiety has the smallest influence and type D personality has the greatest effect. Meanwhile, like work-life balance, technology overload has positive effect on quality of life. That is, internal and external factors can have different effects on the quality of life felt by employees who work from home due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Instagram merupakan media sosial yang paling populer di kalangan remaja saat ini. Penggunaan instagram secara terus menerus dapat menjadi potensi munculnya perilaku adiksi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji secara empiris pengaruh harga diri terhadap adiksi pada instagram yang dimoderasi oleh jenis kelamin. Data diperoleh melalui skala adiksi pada instagram dan skala harga diri. Responden pada penelitian ini berjumlah 27 remaja yang sebelumnya berjumlah 285 kemudian disaring melalui tahap screening berdasarkan kriteria individu dengan adiksi menurut DSM-V. Analisis regresi moderasi digunakan untuk menguji hipotesis dalam penelitian ini. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa harga diri dan jenis kelamin memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap adiksi pada instagram. Hal ini dapat dikatakan bahwa baik laki-laki maupun perempuan memiliki peluang yang sama untuk terlibat dalam adiksi pada instagram meskipun berdasarkan hasil analisis deskripsi menunjukkan rerata skor adiksi instagram sedikit lebih tinggi pada remaja perempuan.
