The paper deals with the challenges that the modern society development faces in social interaction both at the macro level (international interaction, interaction within individual states) and the micro level (the level of interaction in and between small social groups, and interpersonal communication). Social and philosophical understanding of the phenomena of Machiavellianism and manipulative behavior is a relevant issue because in any of the manifestations they are considered as social constructs developing in social interaction, and using philosophical methods and taking into account all the factors influencing them we contribute to their investigation: objective (social) and subjective (psychological). The purpose of the study embraces analysis of different approaches to understand Machiavellianism and manipulative behavior and their evolution from social and political philosophy to social psychology, generalize and develop a more general and complex point of view concerning their essence and determinism. The research methods applied include the philosophical principles of development as the methodological basis to study the issue. These principles cover laws of dialectics: the law of dialectical synthesis, the law of the passage of quantitative changes into qualitative changes, the law of the unity and conflict of opposites; the philosophical principle of determinism; and a systemic activity approach. The main theoretical method used is the content analysis of scientific papers related to the topic of discussion, which allows a comprehensive analysis of the factors associated with the development and manifestation of Machiavellianism and manipulative behavior. The paper analyzes the ideas of Niccolo Machiavelli and his followers, their relationship with the phenomena of Machiavellianism and manipulation, as well as the evolution of these concepts from social and political philosophy considering their global manifestations in politics and the implementation of political power to social psychology studying them in the aspect of interpersonal interaction from the social and philosophical point of view. Nowadays, one of the educational strategies is to strengthen international cooperation and attract international students to study in Russian universities. Migration issues currently remain relevant, and of a sensitive debatable nature, and for newsmakers, they are attractive. The study aims to investigate and analyze the presence of a stereotypical image of a migrant student, its content, nature, and orientation in the mass media. As a research method, a questionnaire survey was used to effectively investigate an international student's image studying at a Russian university with residents created by the mass media. The article examines the prevalence and features of stereotypes’ transmission about migrant students, the features of the formation of a migrant’s image in the media, identify the main problems of adaptation, difficulties faced by migrant students. The study's novelty and originality lie in the fact that the importance of the media environment for the management of international students' migration processes is determined for the first time. It is revealed that the most challenging issues for migrant students are: issues related to everyday life, employment, language acquisition, cultural customs, and unusual climatic conditions for them. It is revealed that information about migrant students in the media is not so standard. It is shown that there is more damaging information about migrants on the central channels than on the regional channels. The data obtained in this work can be used in ethnic psychology, social psychology, pedagogy, and age psychology.

The purpose of the paper is to develop recommendations for the textbooks' creation on social and humanitarian disciplines for university students. The study involves 300 teachers, 300 students, who express their requirements for the content and structure of textbooks, participate in the creation of the project of the textbook and its assessment. The main results of the study are to identify the textbook's functions (informational, transformational, systematizing, organizational and procedural, fixing and selfcontrolling, self-educational, scientific -research, integrating, coordinating, and social), to define current requirements for the structure and content of the textbook, criteria for assessing of its quality (relevance, content availability, optimality and versatility of structure, reliability). The significance of the results obtained is that the proposed content of the textbook integrates fundamental, subject and professional knowledge; the developed structure of the textbook is a systematic alternation of the texts, illustrations, apparatus to organize the mastering of knowledge (questions, assignments, examples, tasks, summarizing tables, conclusions).
Most teachers understand that attrition has been a dilemma in the profession for years. However, the problem of teacher turnover has lately provoked more widespread public attention. Those circumstances also lead multiple teachers to quit altogether, resulting in high rates of turnover in schools. This revolving door of teachers is embarrassing for schools. Plus, teacher turnover damages student performance, dissuades educators, and is costly for districts. To enhance student achievement and decrease teacher protests, we must advance long-term solutions to support schools in retaining effective teachers. The purpose of the study is to analyze the state of staff turnover in the modern teaching staff, identify its causes and develop recommendations for decision-making aimed at reducing its undesirably high level. As a research method, we used a questionnaire survey as a method that allows us quickly, effectively to investigate the features and problems that arise in the process of psychologically economic assessment of teaching staff turnover. The article considers the problems, dynamics, and causes of staff turnover in the teaching staff. The study novelty and originality lie in the fact that the factors affecting the personnel turnover in the teaching staff are considered (psychological, professional-pedagogical and economic factors are identified). It is shown that job satisfaction is the main psychological factor affecting the turnover of teaching staff.
