The early childhood education system nowadays requires the use of authentic assessment in schools. Authentic assessment is an integrative method of assessing the learning process, reflective to the real-world situations, using varieties methods and holistic criteria to assess the cognitive, affective, and skills in early childhood. Social development occurs dominantly after physical, cognitive, and language developments. Based on the minimal developmental standard, many early-childhood children show substandard development in environment adaptation ability, self-managing ability, responsibility, ability to follow rules, sharing, respecting others, cooperation, toleration, and emotional expression. This study aims to identify the influence of cooperative learning through authentic assessment-based jigsaw in the social development of early childhood. This study uses a pre-test post-test design on 50 subjects aged 5-6 years old. The experiment was carried out in 4 stage with 4 learning sub-themes. Data collected with a 1-4 scale observation instrument to get quantitative data and analyzed using t-Test. Results from data analysis concluded that cooperative learning through authentic assessment-based jigsaw has a positive influence on social development in early childhood. We recommend the implementation of this method to optimize social development in early childhood.
Activities of moral and religious development must also be promoted in preschool education. The purpose of this study was to analyses the impact of the storytelling method on the religious and moral development of early childhood. The study uses a quantitative method with an experimental post-test pre-test approach of a group design located at Cahaya Ananda Preschool, Mataram which is determined by a purposive cluster sampling. The subjects in this study were 52 children surveyed in classes B1, B2 and B3. The treatment was carried out four times using the storytelling method with tools, hand puppets, standing planel boards, paste and story books with environmental themes. There was an average increase; positive influence of the application of the learning method of storytelling on the religious/moral growth of early childhood. It is recommended that early childhood education teachers constantly improve their storytelling skills in order to be able to increase the potential of children, especially in the moral and religious development of early childhood
Pengembangan mutu guru merupakan salah satu strategi meningkatkan mutu pendidikan di sekolah. Guru membutuhkan kompetensi pedagogik, sosial, keperibadian dan profesionalisme untuk selalu terus menerus meningkatkan kinerja dan produktivitas dalam pembelajaran. Mutu guru perlu selalu diupayakan agar terjadi peningkatan mutu secara signifikan.Tugas dan fungsi guru yang sangat penting untuk meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran di sekolah. Kompetensi profesional guru dapat terus berkembang melalui peningkatan pendidikan dan pelatihan secara terencana dan terprogram. Kompetensi guru yang membutuhkan peningkatan agar guru dapat mengembangakan penelitian tindakan kelas.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan kemamapuan guru untuk mengembangkan inovasi-inovasi pembelajaran di sekolah. Peningkatan kompetensi guru dalam melakukan penelitian hingga dapat menganalisis dan mencari pemecahan masalah terhadap masalah-masalah pemeberlajaran yang dihadapi guru di kelas. Melalui workshop ini diharapkan para guru telah memiiliki peningkatan kompetensi dalam melaksanakan, menemukan, dan menerapkan inovasi pembelajaran di ruang kelas. Pelaksanaan kegiatan Workshop PTK ini telah dilaksanakan di SMAN 1 Kopang Kabupaten Lombok Tengah yang diikuti oleh 40 guru. Pada kegiatan diberikan konsep tentang dan pelaksanaan PTK di sekolah untuk meningkatkan perbaikan dan inovasi pembelajaran di sekolah. Guru dapat menyusun proposal PTK dana sekaligus melakukan penelitian terkait pemebelajaran. Untuk itulah dalam rangka meningkatkan kompetensi guru ini, maka telah dilakukan Workshop Penelitian Tindakan Kelas bagi guru-guru SMAN 1 Kopang sebagai upaya pengembangan tugas Pascasarjana Prodi Administrasi Pendidikan pada Tahun Anggaran 2019 dari DIPA-BLU (PNBP) Universitas Mataram. The Covid-19 pandemic that attacked Indonesia and other countries of the world has changed human’ way of life. The Covid-19 pandemic greatly influences the field of education, where all learning activities turn to online mode, which results in students’ depression symptoms due to their unpreparedness. This study aims to analyze the impact of remote learning, family conditions, and mental resilience on depression symptoms in early childhood. This study used ex-post facto research (measurement after the event) because the research data for both independent variables and dependent variables occurred before this study was held. The study population was 80 children. The data collection method used was a questionnaire developed from the indicators of each variable. The analysis method used multiple regression. The data analysis used correlation and regression techniques, with regression analysis of three predictors and one criterion. The research findings showed that depression symptoms of early childhood are jointly influenced by remote learning, family condition, and mental resilience. However, two variables that do not affect the depression symptoms of early childhood are remote learning and mental resilience. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dan menjelaskan pengaruh kompetensi pedagogik terhadap kinerja akademik dosen Universitas Nahdlatul Wathan Mataram. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan penelitian ex-postfacto. Pendekatan penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kuantitatif. Populasi penelitian sebanyak 214 orang dosen tetap Universitas Nahdlatul Wathan Mataram, dan sampel penelitian ini ditentukan berdasarkan teknik purposive sampling, yaitu sebanyak 130 orang. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa: 1) Kompetensi pedagogik berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kinerja akademik dosen Universitas Nahdlatul Wathan Mataram. Nilai R2 menunjukkan angka 0,962 sedangkan R2 yang disesuaikan menunjukkan nilai 0,960. Angka tersebut menunjukkan bahwa kompetensi pedagogik berpengaruh 96% terhadap kinerja akademik dosen Universitas Nahdlatul Wathan Mataram. Diharapkan dalam upaya meningkatkan kinerja akademik dosen dapat dilakukan dengan peningkatan kompetensi pedagogik dan kompetensi profesional.
The Covid-19 pandemic caused the education process in early childhood to be carried out at home by applying online methods. This requires a lot of adjustments from face-toface learning habits, which are currently seen as a source of the spread of Covid-19. This study aims to describe the growth and development of early childhood who are carrying out learning at home by applying the authentic assessment-based online method. Growth and development are divided into six aspects: physicalmotor, cognitive, language, social-emotional, artistic, and religious/moral. This research was conducted in the city of Mataram with the subject of 18 teachers-parents and 90 children aged 5-6 years. Students do online learning at home. Data collection was carried out through authentic assessment with observation and portfolio techniques. The data were analyzed descriptively qualitatively to get the results. The results of the analysis found that 20% of children developed very well, 38% developed according to expectations, 30% began to develop, and 12% had not developed. It can be concluded that learning from home by applying authentic assessment in early childhood has been able to stimulate children to achieve good growth and development. Learning from home using online methods based on authentic assessment facilitated by teacher-parents can be applied as an alternative solution to the problem of eliminating face-to-face learning in schools.
Assessment of children's literacy development needs to be supported by STEAM learning assessments. This study aims to analyze the application of the STEAM learning assessment in the development of early childhood literacy. This study uses an ex-post facto approach with a quantitative descriptive method of implementing STEAM learning with authentic assessment techniques. The data collection instrument was observation with a scale of 4 structured, content valid oriented; anecdote notes to record specific behaviors, and portfolios to obtain data on children's performance, knowledge, and creative skills, with three main aspects: structure, content, and holistic. Observation of learning, anecdotal notes, and analysis of work results was carried out on 20 children in group B. The data obtained was described in 5 aspects of literacy: science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics. Literacy development is described in ordinal data and analyzed descriptively using percentage techniques. The results showed that all children developed completely regarding technological and mathematical literacy. On average, they developed very well; 90% of children developed completely in the scientific aspect, with an average development according to expectations; 60% of children developed completely in engineering literacy and 50% in artistic literacy, with an average development as expected. This research implies that the STEAM learning assessment can assist in developing early childhood literacy.
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan implementasi asesmen otentik pada pembelajaran dimasa covid-19 dalam mengoptimalkan tumbuh-kembang anak. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian studi kasus dengan menerapkan teknik sampel kluster porpusive sampling. Partisipan pada penelitian ini terdiri dari 80 anak, dan 30 orang penyelenggara pendidikan anak usia dini (6 guru, 6 kepala sekolah dan 6 lembaga administrasi, 6 anggota masyarakat, dan 6 pemegang kebijakan). Instrumen pengumpul data, adalah wawancara, pedoman observasi, dan studi dokumen. Jenis data yang diperoleh berupa data kualitatif, selanjutnya dianalisis secara deskriptif kualitatif dan ordinal. Ditemukan guru, kepala sekolah, tenaga administrasi, anggota masyarakat, dan pemegang kebijakan pendidikan berpartisipasi secara positif pada implementasi asesmen otentik dalam pembelajaran dimasa covid-19 sesuai dengan tugas pokok dan fungsinya. Implementasi asesmen otentik pada pembelajaran dimasa covid-19 dapat mengoptimalkan tumbuh-kembang anak usia dini, terutama aspek pisik-motorik, kognitif, dan agama/moral.
