Entering the 21st century, the company no longer focuses on the expertise that employees have, but rather on optimizing the quality and function, as well as the positive work experience that employees have. This current situation shows that happiness is one of the important issues that need to be considered especially in the world environment. Happiness in the work place refers to employee satisfaction with their works and lives (Wesarat, at work tend to focus more on their work and increase their productivities. Happiness at work is influenced by job satisfaction, job engagement, workp stress and self-confidence. factors that influence happiness, the importance of happiness in the workplace and exposure to some of the results of previous research both outside and in Indonesia so that it can be an input for further research, remembering happiness is an important domain especially in life in the work environment.
Efikasi diri dalam membuat keputusan karier (Career Decision Making Self Efficacy/CDMSE) merupakan keyakinan individu bahwa dirinya dapat secara sukses melakukan tugas-tugas yang berkaitan dengan pengambilan keputusan karier. Fenomena yang terjadi saat ini masih banyak mahasiswa yang bingung dengan pekerjaan yang akan dipilihnya. Tidak sedikit yang kesulitan untuk membuat keputusan terhadap pilihan karier kedepannya. Hal ini tentu akan menghambat dalam mencapai tugas perkembangan karier mereka. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana gambaran efikasi diri mahasiswa dalam membuat keputusan karier. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif deskriptif. Data diperoleh dari 824 orang mahasiswa Universitas Andalas dengan menggunakan alat ukur CDMSE-Short Form (Betz, Klein & Taylor, 1996). Hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa sebanyak 576 orang mahasiwa (69.90%) memiliki efikasi diri kategori sedang dalam membuat keputusan karier. Selanjutnya efikasi diri dalam membuat keputusan karier pada kategori tinggi dan rendah memiliki persentase yang hampir sama yaitu sebesar 14.93% dan 15.17%. Lebih lanjut hasil penelitian akan dibahas dalam diskusi penelitian.
Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) can be formally defined as a discretionary work behaviour of the employees that is not recognized by the formal reward or the sanction system of their organization. OCB can be seen as a voluntary behavior of the employees, which is out of the job description of their obligation, it is not directly related to the formal reward, but useful in improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the organization.Previous research found four aspects of the job characteristic (variety skill, task identity, task significance and autonomy) positively effected on OCB of employee. The objective of this study was to look effect of job characteristic to OCB which mediated by values of Quality of Work Life (QWL). This values as a foundation to display OCB. The subjects of this research were 65 employees from PT. X. Regression analysis showed that job characteristic significant toward OCB through the mediating of QWL values. In another word QWL had a mediator role between job characteristic and OCB. This finding were usefull to improve the OCB in company, with more attention to job characteristic that promote employees’ QWL. The results and benefits of the research were further discussed in the discussion.
ABSTRAKCampuran Daun sirsak dan Kulit buah manggis sekarang ini banyak digunakan sebagai fitoterapi penyakit kanker dan antioksidan. Tetapi penggunaan bahan ini belum diketahui data keamanannya. Tujuan dilakukan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui efek sitotoksik campuran ekstrak daun sirsak dan kulit buah manggis terhadap sel vero dan sel AML12. Uji sitotoksik dapat memprediksi keberadaan senyawa yang bersifat toksik secara in vitro menggunakan sel normal atau sel yang telah mengalami transformasi. Uji ini menggunakan 2 jenis cell line, yaitu sel vero dan sel AML12. Sampel berupa simplisia daun sirsak dan kulit buah manggis yang dibuat ekstrak dengan menggunakan etanol 96%. Konsentrasi uji yang digunakan adalah 100; 50; 25; 12,5; 6,25 dan 3,125 g/mL untuk sel vero dan 500; 250; 125; 62,5; 31,25 dan 15,625 g/mL untuk sel AML12. Kultur sel dilakukan di wellplate 96 diinkubasi didalam inkubator CO2 pada suhu 37C selama 24 jam kemudian ditambahkan sampel uji dan selanjutnya diinkubasi kembali didalam inkubator CO2 pada suhu 37C selama 24 jam. Langkah selanjutnya uji MTT dan kemudian dibaca dengan ELISA reader pada panjang gelombang 570nm. Diperoleh hasil sebagai berikut: IC50 55,97 g/mL pada sel vero, dan 43,292 g/mL pada sel AML12. Kesimpulannya sampel campuran ekstrak daun sirsak dan kulit buah manggis ini mempunyai efek toksik terhadap sel vero dan sel AML12 (IC50100 g/mL).Kata kunci: Sitotoksik, Daun sirsak, Kulit buah manggis, sel vero, sel AML12, IC50 ABSTRACTMix of soursop leaves and mangosteen pericarp use as cancer phytotherapy and antioxidant, but it is not yet known its toxicities data. Samples was ethanolic extract of soursop leaves and mangosteen pericarp. The test dose were 100; 50; 25; 12,5; 6,25 dan 3,125 g/mL in vero cell and 500; 250; 125; 62,5; 31,25 dan 15,625 g/mL in AML12. Cells were cultured in well plate 96 and incubated in CO2, temperature 37C for 24 hours and then added samples and incubated incubated in CO2, temperature 37C for 24 hours. This research intends to understand the correlation between religiosity and loneliness happened to elder in Persatuan Wredatama Republik Indonesia (PWRI), Branch of Koperindag, West Sumatera. The samples are defined by using Purposive Sampling Technique consisting of 40 elderly people. The data of research is collected through scales arranged based on three components of loneliness by Peplau and Perlman (1982) and five dimensions of religiosity proposed by Glock and Stark. The Scale of Reliability Coefficient of religiosity is 0.969 and The Scale of Reliability Coefficient of loneliness is 0.979. The data that is analyzed by using Product Moment Correlationshows that there is a significant negative correlation between religiosity and loneliness in the elder of PWRI (r = -0.709 (p < 0.01)). It constitutes the phenomenon that the more the elders have the high value of religiosity, the more they have the low value of loneliness.
Covid-19 mempengaruhi kehidupan manusia yang membuat tatanan kehidupan manusia menjadi berubah, salah satunya adalah adanya perubahan budaya kerja dari WFH (Work From Home), WFO (Work From Office), dan keduanya. Hal ini mempengaruhi Work-life balance pegawai dalam kehidupan pribadi maupun kehidupan kerjanya. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah menguji apakah ada atau tidak pengaruh work-life balance terhadap psychological well-being pegawai yang bekerja selama new normal covid-19. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kuantitatif berupa regresi linear sederhana dengan teknik puposive sampling dan jumlah sampel sebanyak 123 orang. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan alat ukur yaitu Ryff Psychological Well-being Scale dan Skala Work-life Balance dari Fisher, Bulger, dan Smith ( 2009). Masing-masing skala memiliki reliabilitas sebesar .890 dan .821. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa work-life balance memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap psychological well-being yang dapat dilihat dari nilai signifikan .001 (P<.05) dan nilai koefisien R-square (R 2 ) sebesar .094. Hal ini menunjukkan work-life balance memberikan kontribusi sebesar 9.4% terhadap psychological well-being pada pegawai yang bekerja selama new normal covid-19.
University students are required to adjust to a different learning system from schools. The differences would made students experience difficulties, and this situation have been worsen with the COVID-19 pandemic that demanded a shift to full online learning. The purpose of this study was to describe college adjustment among university students, specifically class of 2020 which became the first class to experience full online learning when entering the college. The study used the descriptive quantitative method. A total of 380 Andalas University students in the class of 2020 was recruited through convenience sampling. The research instrument was the Student Adaptation to College Questionnaire (SACQ) developed by Baker & Syrik (1984) modified from Rohmah (2017). The results showed that college adjustment of university students was classified as high (68,42%). It shows that students generally have had effective behaviors in dealing with demands in the academic and social aspects, feel satisfied in college life, and have an attachment to the campus.
Vocational High School (SMK) is a work-oriented education where graduates are directed to be ready to work and have competitive and comparative advantages. However, the facts on the ground show that vocational students are not optimal in mastering soft skill competencies, so they are not fully ready to enter the world of work due to the lack of relevance of understanding about soft skills between the industrial world and the world of education needed by the world of work. Based on the urgency of the need for soft skills in the world of work, Kantrowitz developed a soft skill measurement instrument, namely Soft skills Performance Measurement (SSPM) using seven soft skill components, but the team modified it according to the characteristics of vocational students into six components including: (1) interpersonal skills , (2) organizational/leadership skills, (3) performance management skills, (4) cultural/political skills, (5) communication/persuasive skills, and (6) self-management skills. The method of implementing this community service activity follows the approach of Vincent II, J. W by modifying the stages of the activity starting from team formation, formulation of goals, identification of stakeholders, needs analysis, priority determination of problem solutions, preparation, implementation, mentoring, review and evaluation. The results of the activity showed that students had soft skill profiles that were at a fairly good level of achievement. The achievement of students' soft skills is a supporting factor in entering the world of work apart from their hard skills.
