This study aims to analyse consumer preference on the attributes of rice and describe the comparison of performance of packaged rice and bulk rice in the eyes of urban consumer. The method of this study uses survey on 100 respondents chosen purposively. The primary data that is obtained is analysed quantitatively using the attitude multi-attribute model from Fishbein. Based on the analysis result, it is known that expiration clarity is a positive attribute in both packaged rice and bulk rice, followed by the ease of obtaining in the bulk rice, and the contents in the packaged rice. The attributes with positive value indicates the key factor that determine consumer’s assessment in choosing certain rice brand. From the semantic differential comparison, it is found that branded packaged rice is generally better in attributes compared to bulk rice. According to the results, the efforts to increase rice agro-industrial in local farmer level are recommended, so that they can enjoy the benefits of the multi-attributes attached in the branded packaged rice that they produced.
The purpose of this research was to determine capture fisheries status in a sustainability perspective based on ecology, economy, social, technology and ethic dimensions. A data analysis method which used was Multidimensional Scaling with RAPFISH technique. All dimensions in this study were based on FAO’s attribute and was modified based on fisheries condition in research location. Score multidimensional analysis is 45,69. These results indicate that the multidimensional sustainability status of capture fisheries on Bangka Island is in a less sustainable status. The result showed that ecology was the dimension which has the lowest score in order to support captured fisheries sustainability in Bangka Island. The result also formulated sensitive attribute in every condition and gave management recommendations for the sustainability of captured fisheries based on that attribute. This study showed the importance of dimension integration and stakeholder’s teamwork multisectoral in order to manage the sustainability of captured fisheries.
Ketiadaan produksi padi menyebabkan ketersediaan beras di Kota Pekanbaru secara keseluruhan didatangkan dari berbagai daerah lumbung padi di Indonesia, baik dalam maupun luar Provinsi Riau. Keberagaman asal beras ini membentuk pola distribusi dan keberagaman jenis dan merek beras yang beredar di pasar beras perkotaan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menganalisis pola distribusi dan perbandingan margin beras kemasan (Best Seller) di pasar beras perkotaan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yakni survey pada 20 responden yang dipilih secara purposive dengan prinsip keterwakilan pada setiap level lembaga pemasaran. Metode analisis yang digunakan yakni analisis deskriptif kualitatif dan deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa pola distribusi beras melibatkan tiga rantai dan dua rantai lembaga pemasaran. Berdasarkan analisis pemasaran, diketahui bahwa margin pemasaran total pada beras Merek Anak Daro dan Merek Topi Koki berada di bawah harga jual yakni Rp 1.500 dan Rp 2.200 serta nilai efisiensi pemasaran di bawah 100% yakni 2,30 dan 3,67 sehingga termasuk kategori pemasaran yang efisien. Efisiensi pemasaran beras ini memberi gambaran peluang perkembangan agroindustri beras di Kota Pekanbaru sehingga mendukung ketahanan pangan regional.
Urban farming adalah salah satu solusi sistem pertanian di kota, karena saat ini terjadi penyempitan lahan kosong akibat pembangunan di perkotaan. Tujuan utama kegiatan pertanian perkotaan adalah untuk menjaga ketahanan pangan keluarga. Kegiatan urban farming dilakukan dalam dua bentuk kegiatan yaitu warung hidup dan budikdamber (budidaya ikan dan tanaman dalam ember). Penerapan dilakukan melalui sosialisasi budikdamber yang terdiri dari ikan lele dan tanaman kangkung serta melalui kegiatan pembuatan warung hidup dengan memanfaatkan perkarangan rumah warga dan yang lebih difokuskan pada tanaman-tanaman yang sering dikonsumsi oleh keluarga dan mudah untuk dibuat dalam bercocok tanam. MSMEs are a fairly hard hit effort during the pandemic. Therefore, increasing the business capacity of MSMEs needs to be done to revive MSME businesses to compete and increase the income of business actors. The purpose of this activity is to increase the business capacity of MSMEs in Labuh Baru Village East of Pekanbaru City. Two activities carried out to achieve the goal are (1) Training in making cassava leaf nori, which is a contemporary food with easily available raw materials, and (2) Socialization of business legality management such as P-IRT needed for MSMEs so that their products can be accepted by the market. This activity is integrated with the activities of students of Riau University, this activity has been able to increase the knowledge and skills of participants about the manufacture of cassava leaf nori and business legality (P-IRT). It is expected that this activity will be able to increase the capacity and income of MSME actors in Labuh Baru Village East of Pekanbaru City.
That HET is considered too low to absorp farmer's rice so that rice processing industry becomes farmer's choice to sell rice and their product become choice on middle and upper class consumer, especially urban society. This research was conducted to analyze the HET policy by forecasting on rice price through study in East Java market during 12 months later (June 2019). This research got a monthly rice price in East Java during January 2014 -June 2018 which was obtained from SIKAPERBAPO Department of Industry and Trade East Java Province [13]. There were three kinds of rice which would be forecasted. They were Bengawan, Mentik, and IR64. The forecasting is conducted using ARIMA method. Based on ARIMA method, the best ARIMA to forecast the price and support the review that rice policy is unsuitable are ARIMA (4, 1, 2) for bengawan rice, ARIMA (3, 1, 2) for mentik rice, and ARIMA (2, 1, 2) for IR64 rice. It is important to review again about policy of rice HET by considering supply and demand on rice maket. The indication of monopolistic behaviour on rice market could not be denied in line with the development of rice as consumer goods. If in this case BULOG (Logistic Affair Agency) takes a role on rice downstream, it is necessary to review again related to the determination of HET and supported facilities to improve rice brand of local farmer so that farmer share and bargaining position of farmer increases.
