Cyberbullying. Manipulação. Tensividade. Paixão. ABSTRACT:This article aims to raise points for discussion before then conclude anything. The term cyberbullying has been used to distinguish the bullying carried out face to face from the bullying mediated by networked computers. Based on semiotic theory, we discuss the relationship between these two terms in order to shed some light on this differentiation. Moreover, we discuss the possible practical consequences of the assumption of such differentiation on the construction of the subject in today's society: tensive models behind the construction of sense effects of bullying and strategies for handling bullying that lead to a successful or unsuccessful bullying try. The main question, therefore, is: to what extention bullying and cyberbullying are different problems? KEYWORDS: Bullying. Cyberbullying. Manipulation. Tensivity. Passion.
This paper introduces the SilWeb software and discusses its design, which is notable for being the result of cooperation among linguists and engineers. Because of this, our development proceeds in two parallel tracks: a Mattosian study of our automatic phonological transcription and of the software algorithm. Both studies are reported here.
