The aim of this research is to develop edutainment-based comic media in thematicintegrative learning in fifth grade of elementary school. This study is a Research and Development (R&D) using the Borg and Gall model. The data were obtained through observation, interviews, and questionnaires. The results of comic media were obtained through a media expert product evaluation questionnaire and material from experts, educational practitioners, and peers. While the trial results were obtained through a questionnaire response given to 72 fifth grade elementary school students. The results of the validators indicate that the comic media is very feasible to be seen from the aspect of the media with an average is 92,27%, it is also considered very feasible from the aspect of the material with an average is 91,63%. Validation results with education practitioners get an average of 81,5% and 87,82% for peers with the criteria very good. The results of small class trial get an average is 84,72% and large class trial get an average of 91,6% with very good criteria. It also obtained an average is 91,6% from the teachers' response questionnaire with criteria very good. Based on the results, the edutainment-based comic media is very feasible for SD/MI teacher to be used in integrative thematic learning. Most students believed that comics contribute to facilitate understanding of the concept of the material and provide fun for students in reading.

The limitations of learning media in the learning process are mainly in the content of social studies with the topic of natural resources in grade IV. This study aims to develop a valid comic-based learning media. The development model used is the ADDIE model which has five stages, namely: analysis, planning, development, implementation, and evaluation. Comic-based learning media products were the subject of this study, then the validity of comic-based learning media was the object of research. The data collection method was conducted using a questionnaire method. In measuring the validity of comic-based learning media, a rating scale instrument is used in the form of a media validity assessment sheet filled in by 1 lecturer as a material expert and 1 lecturer as a media expert and 2 teachers as a practitioner expert. The media validity data obtained were then analyzed using the mean formula to determine the average score of the validity of comic-based learning media. The average score obtained by each expert on the material expert is 4.80, the media expert is 4.79, and the practitioner expert is 4.88, the three average scores obtained belong to the "very good" category. Based on this, the comic-based learning media developed on the topic of natural resources is declared valid and can be used in learning in grade IV elementary schools.

Proses pembelajaran, siswa kidal masih menggunakan media pembelajaran cetak yang didesain untuk orang non-kidal. Di lain sisi, siswa kidal pada tingkat usia sekolah dasar yang masih berada pada tahap operasional konkret, sangat memerlukan bantuan media yang sesuai dengan karakteristiknya untuk mengkonkretkan pesan pembelajaran. Penelitian ini adalah Reasearh and Development dengan model Hannafin and Peck. Subjek meliputi ahli isi, desain dan media pembelajaran, serta 15 siswa kidal. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan metode observasi, wawancara tidak berstruktur, angket/kuesioner, dan tes. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif kualitatif dan analisis deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil penilaian uji ahli isi, desain dan media pembelajaran berturut-turut memperoleh persentase sebesar 98,21%, 95,83%, dan 92,50% dengan kualifikasi sangat baik. Uji coba siswa yaitu uji coba perorangan, uji coba kelompok kecil dan uji coba lapangan masing-masing memperoleh persentase sebesar 92,50%, 91,67% dan 91,17% dengan kualifikasi sangat baik. Hasil uji efektivitas dengan mengadakan (pre-test) dengan rata-rata skor sebesar 78,9 dan (post-test) dengan rata-rata skor sebesar 84,3. Hasil uji hipotesis dengan uji-t dependen diperoleh bahwa nilai thitung (8,4371) lebih besar dari ttabel (2,475) pada N=15, dengan taraf signifikansi 5% (0,005). Hal ini berarti H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima, sehingga komik cetak berbasis pendekatan pontekstual muatan IPS tema 1 subtema 3 kelas IV efektif meningkatkan kemampuan literasi siswa kidal pada usia sekolah dasar.
