Hermeneutic Questions in Organizational Studies: two interpretative possibilities for research

Este artículo presenta diferentes conversaciones sobre administración y organizaciones que se han publicado en diez de las principales revistas latinoamericanas en el periodo 2000-2014. La unidad de análisis fueron 3.210 artículos clasificados en cuatro ejes conceptuales: Teoría Administrativa, Teoría de la Organización, Estudios Organizacionales e Investigación y Educación. Para la categorización se utilizó el software Atlas. ti, versión 7.5, complementado con métodos de análisis de contenido y frecuencia. Se identificaron tendencias temáticas, los autores que más publican y las redes de cooperación, así como también líneas de investigación y educación en dicho campo. Los resultados de la investigación invitan a reflexionar acerca de los fundamentos de la administración y las implicaciones de sus intervenciones en las organizaciones.

This paper analyzes the current state of organizational studies based on a review of the top 10 Latin American journals published during the last 15 years (2000-2014). The reviewed articles were published in journals included in Web of Science or Scopus databases. A total of 3,210 articles were classified according to the theoretical perspectives defined for this review study. Research included a study of networks for the analysis of co-authors and the institutional affiliation of authors. The results allow to assert there is a tendency in the study of organizations from a functional-positivist approach, while other options for addressing organizational phenomena from a more comprehensive and critical perspective begin to emerge. This work was limited to the defined selection, leaving aside other important and representative journals in the field of organizational studies. Discussion section presents a general picture of the reality of the organizational field in Latin American specialized-literature, which provides possibilities to identify, locate and build specific projects in this field for future research.

Este trabalho tem por objetivo identificar as competências gerenciais de um grupo de supervisão educacional pedagógica numa instituição de educação profissional e tecnológica no Grande ABC paulista, de acordo com a percepção de seus integrantes. Para o campo teórico-conceitual, foram adotadas as propostas que representam a corrente americana, a corrente francesa, e a corrente integradora. Assumindo abordagem qualitativa, os dados foram coletados, por meio de entrevista baseada em roteiro semiestruturado, junto a supervisores educacionais de uma instituição pública de ensino. Os resultados demonstraram compreensão social das competências gerenciais, levando-se em conta os elementos conhecimento, habilidade e atitude. Também foi possível identificar ações e desafios referentes ao cotidiano de trabalho do grupo de supervisores educacionais, com destaque para o panorama próprio da esfera pública, no tocante à obtenção de recursos financeiros.
