Análise da associação entre tipos de aleitamento, presença de risco ao desenvolvimento infantil, variáveis obstétricas e socioeconômicas

Abstract: The results show that factors such as low weight, prematurity and presence of birth intercurrences can be associated to mixed breastfeeding, even if the mothers present physical and time availability for breastfeeding. These variables can be associated to mother-child initial interactions detected by Child Development Risk Inventory.

“…Results pointed out that the group with difficulties in establishing or maintaining breastfeeding after hospital discharge presented longer time of NICU hospitalization (p=0.007) and a longer time of orogastric tube use (p=0.006). Considering the biological risk of the studied population because of prematurity and NICU hospitalization, the results were similar to the ones found in Crestani et al 23 , which observe lower frequency of exclusive breastfeeding significantly associated to low birth weight, in cases of peri and post-natal complications. Likewise, small gestational age infants were associated to late establishment of exclusive breastfeeding in 5,6 days 24 , while the best conditions for the beginning of breastfeeding in preterm infants were verified in cases of higher gestational age and more days of life 25 .…”

“…CRI 1, that is related to the mother knowing what the baby wants when they cry, assigns an interpretation in language attuned to the demands of the baby, which can facilitate the insertion of the baby in language functioning, according to several authors 4,12,14,15 . This is also connected to CRI 2, in which it is analyzed if the mother uses the momish, and to CRI 3, in which it is observed if the baby reacts to it.…”

“…Some studies using CRIs for the Brazilian reality show that the presence of risk to development may be related to difficulties in the feeding transition of babies 11,12 , the presence of Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) 13 , maternal mood changes 14,15 , and also affecting change in the initial mother-baby protoconversation 4 .…”

“…This dimension is mainly theorized by Winnicott 1 , who states that the initial experience of Some recent studies are already able to detect development or psychological risks based on the risk indexes discussed by Kupfer and Voltolini 10 . Such risk indexes showed evidence of association with difficulties in eating transition 11 , in nursing 12 , in the exercise of parental functions 13,14 , in the acquisition of language 15,16 , and relate to sociodemographic and obstetric aspects 17 , demonstrating validity and reliability to find out when something is not going well in the development of instrumental and / or structural aspects of the baby.…”
