Show more

“…It was observed that the two systems evaluated, the costs with the feeding of the Saanen goats were superior to Anglo Nubian, where for the first, about R$ 16,515.84 were spent with the power, around R$ 948.84 more than the Anglo Nubian. The annual costs for the creation of the goats recorded in this study corroborate with several authors (Dal Monte et al, 2010;Barros et al, 2015;Carvalho et al, 2011;Pinto et al, 2014;Stivari et al, 2014), which observed that, among the items that make up the costs of production of ruminants, in a general way, the costs of supply is the item of greatest impact on the total cost of production. One of the major obstacles of the dairy goat farming is, without a shadow of a doubt, the high mortality with diseases that affect the flock (Vieira et al, 2018).…”

“…According to studies by Dal Monte et al (2010), production systems are differentiated by the adopted technologies and the specialization of production with a view to entering the market. At studying the goat and sheep production systems in the semiarid region of the state of Paraíba, Costa et al (2008) found the predominance of small farms up to 50 hectares, with the use of family labor as the main source of work, which also it was reported by Dal Monte (2008).…”
