The types of knowledge that prospective mathematics teachers use when faced with tasks involving technology are interesting because this knowledge can be used as a basis for analyzing the relevance of these types of activities when teaching mathematics. This investigation is intended to identify the knowledge evidenced by these prospective teachers when they carry out an activity involving geometry, technology and pedagogy. To do so, a task was designed which was used with 65 trainee teachers, and the Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge model was used to analyze the information gathered. The results show that prospective teachers make use of knowledge in all of the domains and almost all of the subdomains of the model, confirming that this type of activity triggers these types of knowledge.
Teacher reflection is a mechanism to evaluate and improve the educational practice. To achieve an efficient reflection, it is convenient to have guidelines that support this activity. In this paper it examines the incidence of studying basic notions of the onto-semiotic approach to develop the ability of future math teachers to reflect on teaching practices. The study was conducted during the second semester of 2018 with seven students, in three phases: first, participants reflected on the classroom practice observed in a video sequence, without intervention; second, training was given on some theoretical notions of the onto-semiotic approach; and third, a new reflective session was conducted on the continuation of a video sequence. Data analysis was focused on identifying and comparing elements referring to indicators of suitability present in both reflections. Results show that participants manage to express clearer ideas, and, mainly make justifications about their value judgments. It has been determined that, with the appropriate use of concepts from a theoretical framework of didactic analysis and guided reflection, there was a change in the nature of the reflection made by future teachers, moving from the description of events to the interpretation and analysis of situations.

This study analyzes the teaching of the topic of money in mathematics by a fifth-grade teacher. The research is naturalistic-descriptive and is based on a case study with non-participant observation. Indicators of didactical suitability of the onto-semiotic approach were used (ecological, mediational and cognitive suitability) were used in this analysis. With respect to ecological suitability, the context used by the teacher was related to the daily experiences of her students and she was aware of many aspects of the curriculum. Regarding mediational suitability, the teacher used a variety of technological and manipulative resources. Finally, in the case of cognitive suitability in the development of the various activities, students' previous knowledge and their individual differences were taken into account.
Abstract:In this paper we analyze the main factors (or indicators) that may be present in the use of technology resources, specifically the use of Personal Computer (PC) and, thus, try to infer about possible ways to take advantage of this resource. The main objective of this research was to determine the perception of university students about the role of secondary mathematics teacher, specifically from the technological perspective. For this purpose, we administered a survey to collect information of 264 students in a course of Introductory Mathematics MAX -084, in the first half of 2010 at the Universidad Nacional in Costa Rica. Principally, regarding how the mathematics teacher influenced the development of technological skills, useful for further training at the University. Keywords: Technological competencies. Teaching.
