The study aimed to analyze which are the best corporate environmental strategies to foster the innovation power of companies in the mining sector. The methodology used was the quantitative approach through multiple linear regression analysis were used to analyze the power of innovation and to see how the interrelationship between pressures and incentives can influence companies in the implementation of the sustainability strategy which resulted in five different models. The results show that different environmental strategies foster, in different ways, the power of innovation of companies in the analyzed mineral sector. Thus, this study contributes to the theory and practice of innovation as it reveals to be the best corporate strategy capable of fostering the innovation power of companies in the mineral sector.
EPurpose – The study aims to explore the particularities of religious tourists' attitudes and behaviors with different demographic profiles. Therefore, this work aims to verify if there are differences between the attitudes and behaviors of Brazilian and Portuguese religious tourists in terms of gender, nationality, and religiosity.Design/methodology/approach – A survey was carried out with 396 religious tourists residing in Brazil and Portugal, who have visited religious destinations in their country or abroad, to carry out a comparative analysis between groups, according to gender, nationality, and religiosity through Student's t-test.Findings - The results show significant differences in tourists' attitudes and behaviors who visit sacred places divided between women and men, Brazilians and Portuguese, and finally, between those who consider themselves religious and non-religious.Research limitations/implications – The study's limitations involve the use of an instrument with a particularly Christian bias.Practical implications – The practical implications of this study include contributions to improving local infrastructure related to hotels, commerce, and tourist services.Originality/value – From a theoretical perspective, this study contributes to the advancement of administrative sciences as it engenders the intersection between religious tourism and public and non-profit marketing, placing the discussion in two countries with a strong religious tradition in the West, Brazil and Portugal.
The digital economy is changing the way business is done and is showing tremendous potential for organisational progress and global influence. As innovative products and service offerings make the world more competitive,if created properly, digital connectivity will be able to provide new business models and faster entries into global markets (Anderson, Wladawsky-Berger,2016).This gives rise to important issues pertaining to consolidation of practices, implementation of relevant issues across global companies, and many more. Appropriate answers can be searched for these questions in the international research databases on the digital economy like Scopus and Web of Science. Research contributions of authors demonstrating scientific completeness are of great important here. Also important are databases that have been adequately cited.
Corporate social responsibility is conceptualized as a voluntary activity of organizations, which evidence the inclusion of environmental and social objectives in the interactions with stakeholders, as well as in their operational activities. Thus, the general objective was to analyze the characteristics of the publications related to the topic corporate social responsibility in the last three decades, in the Web of Science and in Scopus databases. There was an increase in the number of articles published per year with the “boom” in the years 2013 to 2018, in both databases. The authors at the Copenhagen Business School (79; 129) and York University (92; 104) were where the most scientific articles published on the subject on both databases. Regarding the main research areas in publications on corporate social responsibility, there seems to be a convergence in the main research areas of most published articles.
Work intensification can be defined as the increase in energy expenditure by the worker in the exercise of his current occupations. Given the complexity of the phenomenon, this study aimed to analyze the scientific literature on work intensification to map the field and propose a research agenda. Three approaches were developed from 98 articles extracted from the Web of Science, namely bibliometric, scientometric, and content analyses. The findings reveal that the scientific production on the subject had a significant increase between 2010 and 2019; predominant themes are work-family conflict, repetitive strain, and teleworking, among others. Furthermore, the research agenda reveals rich possibilities for gaps and future studies.
The present study has as its general objective to analyze the differences in behavior and culture among religious tourists who visit sacred sites. The study is descriptive through research. The quantitative instrument was adapted of Irimiás and Michalkó and Irimiás, Mitev, and Michalko. The results show a heterogeneous sample that includes different age groups. Among the data it appears that the majority of respondents are female and have higher education. A large percentage were born in a religious cradle and thus are considered religious. In addition, a high number of religious tourism participants are part of a religious community. Thus, it is suggested for future research to expand the analyzed countries in order to compare results, with the aim of analyzing other contents different from those analyzed. Among other limitations of this study we have: the information presented is limited to the articles selected only with Brazilian and Portuguese tourists; the research was carried out with the snowball technique, being limited only to the sample for convenience.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
