The objective of this work is to analyze the production of publications on the theme of ethics and social responsibility from 2006 to 2016 based on the scientific citation indexing service, the Web of Science (WOS), through a descriptive, quantitative, and bibliometric study. This study, which considered 2,610 documents, sought to identify the authors, the types of documents (books, book chapters, journal articles, and conference proceedings), the titles of the sources, the research areas, the year published, institutions with which authors were affiliated, languages in which the documents were published, and the countries of these publications. The greatest number of documents was published in the United States, with the overwhelming majority 93.43% of publications written in the English language. The source of the greatest number of documents was the Journal of Business Ethics, and the main research area was business economics. Researchers also observed that, in the 71 publications with the greatest number of citations referenced in the researched topic, the top three authors were Guido Palazzo, with 1,730 citations, Andreas Georg Scherer, with 1,352 citations, and Jeremy Moon with a total of 1,132 citations.
Objective of the study – To analyse the positive and negative feelings regarding the domains of an entrepreneurial ecosystem. Design/methodology/approach – The present work is characterized as exploratory and descriptive in relation to the procedures as field research, and the approach is qualitative. Findings – Most of the feelings regarding the entrepreneurial ecosystem in the study are negative (30 feelings). However, there are positive perceptions (14 feelings) about the arrangement. This can be seen through the importance of the people, actors and entrepreneurs in the ecosystem, as they act as agents in transforming actions. Concerning the negative aspects, the Public Policy and Culture domains also contain several indicators, mainly for the search for incentives and policies to disseminate entrepreneurship in the ecosystem. Practical & Social implications of the Study – This work sought to collaborate with studies in the field of entrepreneurship, specifically, in the domains of the ecosystem. Its strength lies in its theoretical and practical relevance, guiding entrepreneurs towards other specific aspects of the entrepreneurial ecosystem. Originality – The study is original due to the environment in which it was conducted, unlike other studies on this theme, and the local arrangement had not yet been considered. Furthermore, regarding similar studies conducted in Brazil, few studies were found approaching this theme of the entrepreneurial ecosystem (Capes, 2020), which indicates the possibility of exploring this theme.
Eco-innovation contributes to a more sustainable environment through the development of green technologies. In this context, eco-innovations are capable of improving the performance of organizations in order to reduce environmental and social impacts. Knowing the behavior of studies on eco-innovation can help researchers in understanding the scientific and intellectual structure of the field. Therefore, the general objective of this research is to evaluate the literature on eco-innovation on the world stage from bibliometric and Scientometric analysis, with the help of CiteSpace software. The results show a highly fruitful, dynamic, and rapidly expanding field of studies, marked by a high degree of interdisciplinarity and multidisciplinarity. The conclusions of the research reveal the trends for studies in the area, from the understanding of the behavior of the field of studies in eco-innovation.
Purpose: this work aimed to analyze the scientific literature related to the Circular Economy (CE) and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to identify its main research trends.Design/methodology/approach: for this purpose, bibliometric and scientometric analysis of the scientific production indexed in the Web of Science database was applied. The scientometric analysis was performed using the CiteSpace software, one of the most influential network software currently.Findings: the results point out trends and challenges for the evolution of sustainability research based on aspects of the 2030 Agenda and the Circular Economy. In particular, trends involve great advances in the number of publications and citations, interdisciplinarity and multidisciplinarity of research categories, dense research network between countries, author co-citation analysis, network of main keywords, identification of keywords with citation burst and their distribution in timelines, and, finally, classification of studies in thematic clusters.Practical implications: the implication of the study is twofold: it will support the development of sustainability based on the 17 SDGs, with the circular economy being one of the areas in growth and development of solutions for sustainability, and it will help guide the overcoming of thematic gaps.Originality/value: this study is the first one that we are aware of to carry out a scientometric and bibliometric analysis aligning the two themes, CE and SDGs. Thus, we contribute to the literature by unveiling the main trends in the field and identifying research directions, which is particularly useful in new and challenging themes for the academic community and for managers.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
